  1. Hi folks, I was sharing the Gospel, and speaking at length today with a Satanist, who apparently has quite a following. Prayers appreciated for her Salvation, and for that matter, "her followers."

Apparently some of those things she thinks she has controlled over the years, are now giving her quite a hassle, along with nightmares, and entertaining thoughts of suicide.
Towards the end of our conversation, I assured her suicide was never the answer. In fact, it would only be the beginnings of her eternal suffering in Hell.

I made it clear again at the end of our talk, she needed to repent of her many sins towards Jesus Christ who alone was the only One who could forgiver her, and set her free from the demonics she has been serving.

Also asking for prayers for a number of others I've shared the Gospel with over the Christmas holidays.

    Thanks!

It doesn't stop with pastors - my bishop is a lesbian.

Well, perhaps in "position" only by this evolving worlds sinful standards.

But as far as God is concerned, she is not Saved, and certainly no Bishop in His eyes.

Hopefully, she, and many like her, will one day repent, believe, be forgiven, be set free, and know the Real Lord Jesus Christ!

Philippians 3:18-19  (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:  (19)  Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

In my church, the United Methodist Church, there is a war about whether or not we are going to respect the Lord's teachings regarding homosexuality.

Like I say, there is a war. I will stand and fight. Besides, my congregation is having no problem with this.

I'm glad the Church your going to knows it's wrong! A number in our area do not.

As JohnTheBaptist is probably fully aware, a full 47% of the Methodist voted this year to not only believe the sins of LGBT to be "OK" within their ranks, but were going so far as to allow these lost sinners in the pulpit as (false) Pastors.
These sins will never be OK with God!
And I thank God for the 53% of the worlds Methodist that biblically voted against these sins!

Our God, who is God, changes not!
    Malachi 3:6a  For I am the LORD, I change not;

If one were to find themselves in a Church that teaches sexual "sins" are OK, it's time to move on.

    Ephesians 5:3  But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;

    Sexual Sins in the Bible:
-Adulterer, (Sex outside of marriage) Exodus 20:14, Deuteronomy 5:18, Leviticus 18:20, Proverbs 6:32
-Fornicator, (Sex without marriage) Acts 15:20, 29
-Incestuous relationships, (Sex with family members,) 1Corinthians 5:1, Leviticus 18:6-18
-Sodomite (Homosexual, sex with same sex,) Romans 1:26-27, 1Corinthians 6:9,  Jude 1:7, Leviticus 18:22
-Transvestism, (Those who are pretending to be a woman, when really a man and vice versa) Gen 1:27, Deuteronomy: 22:5, Matthew 19:4
-Rape, (Force someone to have sex against their will,) Genesis 34:1-3, 2 Samuel 13:10-16
-Bestiality, (Sex with animals,) Leviticus 18:23-24
-Pedophilia, (Sex with an infant, this is the worst form of perverted fornication, as a child's life is violated.) (Matthew 18:6-7)

...There needs to be a serious and honest conversation in the church about sex. Starting with is it really a horrific sin if you fail to wait until marriage? Abstinence  should be the goal, but is that realistic in every situation?

For the Christian, yes abstinence is very realistic in every situation!

And with that situation, God will ALWAYS give a way of escape! Grab the first door out, as there may not be a "door number two!

1 Corinthians 10:13  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Sexual sins are the only ones mentioned in the Bible as "sinning against their own bodies."

1 Corinthians 6:18-20  Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. (19) What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? (20) For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

The Word "fornication" gets a full 32 mentions in the New Testament as "sin." A sin which God takes very seriously.

Ultimately children who are being raised by Christian parent(s) should be taught about sex in marriage when the opportunity presents itself, with us living out our lives in Christ as an example.
Along with that, coming against the flow of the worlds sinful standards when our children get it through the public school system, godless churches, music, the media, and sparring them from the same as we have opportunity

If one were to "sin" having sex prior to marriage, it's a sin God can forgive, and with that forgiveness comes His strength to stay away from it!

Colossians 3:1-6  If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. (2) Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. (3) For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. (4) When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. (5) Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, (a longing desire to lust for what is forbidden) and covetousness, which is idolatry: (6) For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

    Joy to the World
    by Isaac Watts

    Joy to the world, the Lord is come;
    Let earth receive her King!
Let every heart prepare him room And heaven and nature sing!
    And heaven and nature sing!
    And heaven . . . and heaven . . . and nature sing.

Joy to the earth, the Savior reigns!
    Let men their songs employ
While fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains,
Repeat the sounding joy! Repeat the sounding joy!
    Repeat . . . repeat . . . the sounding joy!

No more let sins and sorrows grow,
    Nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make his blessings flow
Far as the curse is found!
Far as the curse is found!
    Far as . . . far as . . . the curse is found!

He rules the world with truth and grace
    And makes the nations prove
    The glories of his righteousness
    And wonders of his love!
    And wonders of his love!
    And wonders . . . wonders . . . of his love!

  6. The original 1611 KJV was printed in "Gothic" type. We now use "Roman" type.
So a "u" in Gothic, is now a "v" in Roman.
    An "I" is now a "J."
An "f" in Gothic is now often an "s" in Roman type.
The 1611 KJV "Iefvs" in Gothic, is now "Jesus" in Roman type.

At the same time, they did not have the grammatical "rules" we now have.
The 400 "changes" we now have since 1611 that have been done were for Gothic to Roman type, and for our newer grammar rules being applied towards the same words in spelling.

When applying the above thoughts, I do not find it too hard to read "the original" 1611 KJV!

  8. I've been talking to a man that knows a Christian missionary that took over an orphanage in another country. It was previously run by the RCC and they have washed their hands of it when they gave it to him and are no longer involved.
The children are in a really bad way. He needs a bit of money to keep it going, and some "real" Christians to help these kids as they all have abused backgrounds. Mature Christians, to tell these little ones of Christ, who alone can help them and set them free!

Recently, this same missionary was going to get a few kids into the orphanage that a family wanted to get rid of. By the time he went through the proper channels to get them in, the family had already gotten rid of them. This really broke the missionary's heart, and he's thinking now on quitting in what must seem to be an impossible endeavor.

Prayers being asked for this. We all know if God's in the mix, he can give this man strength, help send the right Christian people, and provide.

    Thanks!

  9. "I'm struggling to accept hell"

On 12/14/2019 at 1:58 AM, Ineedhugs said:

...It's not rational to care so much about those things let alone torture them for eternity. It's hard for me to accept this. If i can't accept hell then why believe anything in the bible you know?

    Hi Ineedhugs!
Please prayerfully continue reading the Bible, and believing all that you read in it's 66 Books from Genesis to Revelation!

1 Peter 2:2-3  As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: (3) If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

Jesus Christ so loved the world, that He wanted all to know that Hell was such an awful place. And he did not want any to go there!
To put in in perspective, He spoke this:
Mark 9:43-48  And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: (44) Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. (45) And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:  (46)  Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. (47) And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: (48) Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

And you will find, that these portions of Scripture will not change, as everlasting, and eternal are mentioned in them:

Matthew 25:46  And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Jude 1:7  Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

    2 Thessalonians 1:7-9  And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, (8) In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: (9) Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

Revelation 14:9-11  And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, (10) The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: (11) And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Hell although temporal, is very much like the eternal destination that all will go to without Christ in their lives, The Lake of Fire.
All that are in Hell now, will one day be taken out of there, and judged by God. (Rev 20:11-15) After His righteous judgment, they will be tossed into the eternal Lake of Fire.

He died for us, and shed His blood for our sins, that none need go there!
What a gift of love for all of us, and all the more reason for us to be praying for, and reaching out to the lost in the world in our varied capacities!

John 3:15-18  That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. (16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (17) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (18) He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Without repenting, and believing on Jesus Christ to forgive their sins before they die, God will hold those people accountable for all their sins.
Hell awaits them, to be followed by the eternal Lake of Fire
    .

Revelation 20:11-15  And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. (12) And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. (13) And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. (14) And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death  (15) And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 21:6-8  And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. (7) He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. (8) But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Is lucid dreaming against the bible? Is there anywhere in the bible that says right out that lucid dreaming is bad?Because I have looked up lucid dreaming on the internet. And some people say it is from the devil...

Lucid dreaming is something I dabbled prior to my being Born Again.
I don't mind saying I had a few fearful demonic encounters in messing with some of this mindset that came along with it. :o
It's not something I dabble in now at all as a Christian.
I'll continue to stay on that side of caution, and stay completely away from lucid dreaming.

    We all dream.

On rare occasions when God desires, He can speak in dreams, or send  an angel to speak for Him in dreams.
However, God is always the one doing the initiating on these rare occasions in the Bible.
A few examples: In the Old Testament, God spoke to Abimelech king of Gerar in a dream here: Genesis 20:3-6
And had an angel of His speak to Joseph in a dream here: Matthew 1:20

This short article attempts to have some answers from all sides, and mentions the occultist New Age side I ignorantly found myself in some years ago.
However, unlike the article that says in part "There is nothing essentially wrong with this" I would have to disagree, as it could/would eventually lead towards "an unhealthy interest in other extra-sensory phenomena" as the article also eludes to.

    ---------------------------------------------------

"Question: "Lucid dreaming - what is it? Is having a lucid dream a sin?"

Answer: A lucid dream is a dream in which the sleeper is aware that she or he is dreaming. When the dreamer is lucid, he/she can actively participate in and often manipulate the imaginary experiences in the dream environment. The term “lucid dreaming” was coined by Frederik van Eeden (1860–1932), a Dutch psychiatrist. Since that time, several books and articles have been written on the subject. Research and analysis of the causes of lucid dreams is ongoing and often strays into the area of parapsychology. Some researchers have identified a similarity between lucid dreaming, near-death experiences, transcendental meditation, out-of-body experiences, and other occult and New Age practices. God’s Word forbids these practices (Leviticus 20:27; Deuteronomy 18:10-12).

There is certainly nothing wrong with dreaming, and everyone dreams at one time or another. Some people can remember every detail of their dreams, while some remember nothing, causing them to conclude that they don’t dream at all, which is unlikely. Dreams are little more than the continued functioning of the mind during sleep, sometimes rehearsing recent thoughts and events, and sometimes creating scenarios based on fears, hopes or desires. As such, dreams are a perfectly normal function of the brain.

Although dreams are mentioned frequently in the Bible—God can and has used dreams to speak to people—lucid dreaming as such is never addressed. Lucid dreaming simply means being able to control your dreams. There is nothing essentially wrong with this. But if lucid dreaming becomes too much of a focus or an obsession, it should be avoided. For Christians, being fascinated by the concept of lucid dreaming is of little or no spiritual value and might possibly lead to an unhealthy interest in other extra-sensory phenomena. While many things are permissible for Christians, not all things are beneficial (1 Corinthians 6:12). A Christian should prayerfully examine why he/she wants to experience lucid dreaming. If the motives are pure and include an understanding of the unreliable nature of dreams, it is probably nothing more than a harmless curiosity. It if becomes more than that or involves even the smallest hint of New Age or occult practices, it should be avoided."

  11. I was Saved after reading a paraphrased version called "The Living Bible" from cover to cover, ever so shallow that it was! Thus started my quest in finding out many of the same things the above author mentions.

For me, it's a funny place to be with some. On one side, I've been "fussed at" for not believing the KJV was inspired. It was preserved, not inspired.
The 66 Books that are now entailed as one Bible were inspired by the Holy Spirit, through men, who wrote in the languages in which they were fluent.
God used 40 or more writers, over a period of 1500-1600 years, across 3 continents. During this time God did not inspire these men to write in the Kings 1611 English.

On the other side, for the anything goes on the next latest and greatest Bible "translation" that comes out, some feel I'm not "hip enough" and "with it" or "don't understand." What they don't seem to understand is the majority of these translators are often siding with at least some unreliable Hebrew and Greek renderings. I'm personally aware of yet another "version" that's coming out next year.

That being said, there are FIVE "bibles" that I feel should be completely done away with, that I don't consider "Bibles" at all. They are "The Message, The Passion Translation, The Queen James Bible, (Homosexual) and The New World Translation. (A Cultic Jehovah's Witness version, where all the Deity of the eternal Son of God, Jesus Christ, has been removed.)
There are likely more out there along these same lines.

  12. David Cloud pretty well defines where I stand as "King James Only."
And where "I am not “King James Only."

    https://www.wayoflife.org/database/king_james_only.html
(About a 10 minute read) A portion of the article:

"I WILL ACCEPT THE LABEL OF “KING JAMES ONLY” IF IT MEANS THE FOLLOWING:
If “King James Only” defines one who believes that God has given infallible Scripture in the original Greek and Hebrew writings and that He has preserved that in the Hebrew Masoretic and Greek Received Text and that we have a beautiful translation of it in the English language in the Authorized Version, call me “King James Only.”

"...Similarly, if “King James Only” defines one who rejects the theory that the “preserved” Word of God was hidden away in the Pope’s library and in a weird Greek Orthodox monastery at the foot of Mt. Sinai (a monastery which has a room full of the skulls of dead monks) for hundreds of years, call me “King James Only.”

If “King James Only” defines one who believes that it is necessary to have one biblical standard in a language as important as English and who believes that the multiplicity of competing versions has created confusion and has weakened the authority of the Word of God, call me “King James Only.”

If “King James Only” defines one who believes that it is necessary to have one biblical standard in a language as important as English and who believes that the multiplicity of competing versions has created confusion and has weakened the authority of the Word of God, call me “King James Only.”

"...ON THE OTHER HAND, I WILL NOT ACCEPT THE LABEL OF “KING JAMES ONLY” IF IT MEANS THE FOLLOWING:
If “King James Only” defines one who believes that the KJV was given by inspiration, I am not “King James Only.” The authority of the King James Bible is the product of preservation, not inspiration. The term “inspiration” refers to the giving of the Scripture through holy men of old (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:20-21). At the same time, I agree with the Pulpit Commentary when it says, “We must guard against such narrow, mechanical views of inspiration as would confine it to the Hebrew and Greek words in which it was written, so that one who reads a good translation would not have ‘the words of the Lord.’” To say that the King James Bible is the inspired Word of God in the English language because it is an accurate translation of the preserved Hebrew and Greek is not the same as saying that it was given by inspiration"

If “King James Only” defines one who believes the English KJV is superior to the Hebrew and Greek texts upon which it was based, I am not “King James Only.” In fact, I believe such an idea is pure nonsense and heresy, as it would mean the pure and preserved Word of God did not exist before 1611.

"If “King James Only” defines one who believes that a person can only be saved through the King James Bible, I am not “King James Only.” It is the gospel of Jesus Christ that is the power of God unto salvation (Rom. 1:16), and even a Bible that is textually corrupt contains the gospel."

If “King James Only” defines one who believes that he has the authority to call those who disagree with him silly a***s, morons, and jacklegs, and to treat them as if they were fools because they refuse to follow his (or her) peculiar views, or if it defines one who threatens to sue those who challenge him (or her), I am not “King James Only.”

"Before you finish reading this, one individual will have ended their life by suicide — because they think they have no other choice. According to the World Health Organization, a massive 800,000 people take their lives every year—one death every 40 seconds. That’s over 2,000 a day. For millions who suffer from depression and despair, “EXIT” points to a better way. This compelling movie shines a powerful light in the darkness and offers true hope to those who think they have none. Someone you know may be secretly considering their exit."

  14. Hi Kenzie, My wife and I are praying for you too! :)

It can be tough at your age, but killing yourself is never the answer!
Exodus 20:13  Thou shalt not kill.

I had a brother many years ago kill himself, and his eternal torment and hurt really had just began at that point in Hell.
Their are some who feel this kind of thing to be a bit harsh to say, but I disagree. What could be less loving if I did not warn of such a terrible place as my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ defines it?

And those that he left behind were grieved for years.

I do understand moving around as years ago, I moved around a good bit. Being the new kid in town can be difficult, and it takes time for others to get to know us as we leave old friends behind.
Your a Senior at this point, and hopefully you would be able to graduate from this school without moving until finished.

Along with all the prayers that have gone up for you by many others, please consider some of the great advise and examples others have given!

Repent of these thoughts, ask God to renew your mind by reading His Word, and cast your heavy cares upon Him. God's shoulder can bear any burden you have.

Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, (Jesus!) all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (29) Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. (30) For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

  15. Some guidelines to for us to walk with Christ, to be the One Body He has called us to be in! :)

Ephesians 4:14-32  That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;  (15)  But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:  (16)  From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.  (17)  This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,  (18)  Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:  (19)  Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.  (20)  But ye have not so learned Christ;  (21)  If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:  (22)  That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;  (23)  And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;  (24)  And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.  (25)  Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.  (26)  Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:  (27)  Neither give place to the devil.  (28)  Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.  (29)  Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.  (30)  And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.  (31)  Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:  (32)  And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

  16. As for the Apostles, they physically saw Christ, and what they say in the Bible was inspired by the Holy Ghost, their Words will eternally stand.

For our current "real" Prophets, Evangelist, Pastors and Teachers, heed them as they properly teach and live out the Word, confirming their teachings against the Scriptures for ourselves. (Acts 17:11)

Ephesians 4:11-13  And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  (12)  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:  (13)  Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

    Amen! :)
Ephesians 4:1-7  I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,  (2)  With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;  (3)  Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.  (4)  There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;  (5)  One Lord, one faith, one baptism,  (6)  One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.  (7)  But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

  18. Likely something similar coming our way soon. Things like this are leading the way:

Past President Clinton's wife Hillary wanted to see something similar called "National ID cards" in 1993. There was a temporary rise against it, and it did not go through.
In 2005 "Real ID" did pass in the U.S. Some states still are refuting it a bit. My last drivers license required much more info because of Real ID, and instead of a "normal camera" taking my picture, it was a "bio-recognition facial camera" forever implanting my mug on a hard drive somewhere.

Cameras are EVERYWHERE now it seems. I received a pricey ticket recently for not paying at a toll booth with a "picture of my tag" as proof in the envelope. The photo found me guilty before I could prove my innocence. Turns out the guilty car had a "O" where my tag had a "C" After explaining to them I was at work 50 miles from where the picture was taken, and sending them a picture of my tag, they graciously dropped the fine.

My last walk in WalMart was on camera everywhere, even making a "bling" sound to get my attention as I went down some isles, lest I should break God's 8th Commandment and steal a toothbrush... This included self check-out with me looking at myself on the cash register screen.

This week in the news, Google is taking private health records of many without the consent of doctors or hospitals.

Microphones have been put outside in some cities to listen for gunfire.

"Smart TVs" can now listen, and watch you as your watching the TV.

The "smart devices" one talks too in the house are constantly listening while their on awaiting your next question or statement.

While the much younger generation sees some of this as normal, it seems to be quite the invasion of ones privacy at times.

At the same time, no matter how much they "see and hear" our God who is God, sees all, knows all, including every idol word men speak, even the very numbers of hairs on our head. I'm near certain all of these things will not know our hair count anytime soon!

    • Well Said! 1
  19. Adam and Eve were definitely made by God in the beginning!
And our triune God viewed them as the first male and female couple.

Genesis 1:26-28  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.  (27)  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.  (28)  And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Jesus Christ who was their Creator, also mentions them here. And take note!
With our gender confused generation, Jesus Christ still sees the only valid married couple as a male and a female!  :)

Matthew 19:4-5  And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, (5) And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

  20. I let a pastor in our area know of it's troubling teachings, as he was thinking on teaching this 7 week Alpha course to his parishioners. Upon seeing it up on his church bulletin board for a pre-start date a short time later, I had typed up much more thorough memo on much of Alpha's anti-biblical content and wished to hand it to him in person.
Upon seeing him out front a a bit later, I pulled over to give it to him. He quickly walked inside, and locked the door. I knocked on the door, no answer. So, I taped it on the outside of his door, in prayerful hopes that he might read it and walk away from the Alpha Course . Didn't happen. But the ear tickling Ecumenical, Roman Catholic like message that was intertwined throughout did nearly triple his numbers in church for the next 7 weeks. This particular Alpha Coarse taught at the end, you would "experience" holy spirit "laughter..."

A portion from a ministry that researches these things often times far beyond what I do:

"Author and lecturer Roger Oakland offers some insight: (On the Alpha Course)
...When Vineyard pastor Randy Clarke came to the Toronto Airport Vineyard in January of 1994, he held several nights of meetings and then lit “the fire.” Randy Clarke had received his “anointing” from the “Holy Spirit Bartender” from South Africa, Rodney-Howard Browne.
For years afterwards, the transferrable anointing spread around the world. “It” was also called “it.” Once someone got “it” they were able to give “it” away. “It” was transported to the UK by Nicky Gumbel from the Holy Trinity Brompton Anglican Church in England."
"...When we look at the background and what influences the “spirit” behind Alpha, there is every indication that this is not the Holy Spirit of the Bible, who does not ask us to do all kinds of weird and crazy things. We are not to seek visions and dreams or other things typical in Alpha-style hyper-charismatic circles. While some might perceive Alpha’s teachings on the Holy Spirit to be biblical, the problem lies in the clear beliefs and practices of the founder and how it is and has spread throughout the churches in practice thanks to Toronto and Brownsville. The kinds of manifestations that Gumbel promotes have nothing to do with the Comforter leading us into all truth and making us more like Jesus. It will more likely lead the participant into altered states of consciousness and occult practices common in New Age and emergent circles.
    Alpha Endorsers
So who are the endorsers of the Alpha program? Probably the most influential supporter of Alpha (at least within the evangelical church) is Rick Warren. Warren was the keynote speaker at the 2014 Alpha Global Conference. For the fee of $190, one could catch him at Royal Albert Hall or get a seat at Gumbel’s church in Brompton (HTB)—remember, the site of the birth of the Holy Laughter movement."

  21. Good reminder of how we received the first English Bible from our martyred Brother in the past.

I'm looking forward to personally thanking William Tyndale when I meet him one day!
Underlining and adding a few more previous words that Tyndale said that were mentioned in the original post towards the Biblically ignorant priest:

"I defy the pope, and all his laws. If God spare my life, 'ere many years I will cause a boy that driveth the plough to know more of the Scripture than he does." -William Tyndale

And thank God, a plough (plow) boy can now understand Scripture in English! :)
