  1. I believe the spirit of Jesus went straight to heaven after his death. Luke 23:42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom. Luke 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto you, TODAY shall you be with ME in paradise. Luke 23:46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into your hands I commend my spirit: and having said this, he gave up the spirit.
  2. We cant overlook the Sanhedrin. It was recently reestablished in October after a 1600 year absence. Monday they were granted access to the Temple Mount. This was the first time since 1967 that a Rabbi had been granted such access. The Sanhedrin coming back as a body will,in my opinion, opened the door for the temple to be rebuilt. They are anticipating the "first coming". In Matthew Jesus is talking to the Sanhedrin when He says, Matthew 23:39 For I say unto you, you shall not see me again, till you shall say, Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. In my opinion this is a prophetic statement.
  3. From what I understand Bush and most of his cabinet believe in the replacement theory. He has no idea what he is getting into.
  4. you are right frog. just because i think something does not make it so. thats why i said "just my .02"..... meaning thats my "opinion"....
  5. When I was a young boy I knew this man that was an atheist. I can remember conversations that he and my grandpa used to have about God. My grandpa tried so hard to give that man what he had. Nothing doing. An amazing thing happened to that man. He was faced with the fact that he was about to die. That same man that swore up and down that there was no God spent the last days of his life calling out to God to have mercy on him. I find it hard to believe that anyone is a true atheist. Just my .02
  6. i totally understand what you are saying, but i cant help but to think that these temptaions that you speak of are the temptations of the world today and we are able to be kept from them because of our obedience, that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
  7. okay......im probably going to get rippped by dad for this but here goes... In the grand scheme of things I am just a baby christian and I dont think I have been alive long enough to put in the hours of studying the word as has several of you. I have really been wrestling with this debate. I always thought that we would go through the tribulation. just what i was taught. over the past couple of weeks I have really been trying to tie everything together in Revelation. I dont know how many time I have read the letters to the church. but yesterday two things just jumped out and hit me square between the eyes. first....the word "church" is mentioned several times in the first three chapters of Revelation. not once after that. second......the letter to the church of Philadelphia. the very church that we are to model after, right there as plain as day, becasue this church had done the right thing, they were going to spared from the hour of trial that is going to come over the whole earth. no other place is the word "church" associated with this event.....just my .02
  8. Good morning This past week in a news letter I read about Benny Hinn and his agenda relating to the mid east. For the life of me I cant find the link. It was just another one of those eye opening articles. Dont really know if it was valid or not. Anyway, our pastor really delivered a very powerful message on pro-life yesterday. He brought up II Kings 23:10 and spoke about Topheth also called the city of the drums. The drums were used to drown out the cries of the children that were being sacrificed. Obviously this was an evil city. This city was in a valley called Ben Hinnom. Thats the first time that I had ever noticed that. Makes you wonder about Benny Hinn.
