  1. Mizzdy, Five of his kingdoms fell, the 5th just before the first century .... we can know which ones All Middle Eastern: ..... the land of magog and the next successors, Assyria, neo-Babylon, Persia, Syrio/Babylonia He is released from the abyss at the time of the end to rule again during the coming tribulation period over his next two successive dominions in the Middle East [Revelation 9:11; 11:7; 17:8; 19:20] In order to be released from the abyss, he had to be sent there ..... he was when he lost his 5th kingdom Greek Syrio/Babylonia fell to the Romans just before the first century This fallen angelic and others will be released to participate on the earth during the Lord's coming judgment of the tribulation period [Jude 1:6; Revelation 9; 12; 13] The scriptures must be diligently studied in order to grasp an understanding this .... both the O.T and N.T together
  2. Mizzdy, Yes the "star" is satan .... read Revelation 12 for this symbolic term applied to satan and his fallen angels Notice that this entity in Revelation 9:1 "falls" from heaven .... this is satan There is an angel of the Lord who "comes down" from heaven to capture satan and lock him in the abyss [Revelation 20:1-3] The Lord does control all of the reatraining on satan, but He is going to allow fof him to bring his party to the earth during the coming tribulation period just as the scriptures tell [2Thessalonians 2] Satan is the one who gives the beast [Abaddon-Apollyon] his power and authority [Revelation 13]
  3. "I'm not following" >I would suggest studying my post "Daniel's 4 Beasts" >If you need further help ask, and I will attempt to give you more information >I will be posting much more material on the forum as time goes on and this particulat subject will be addressed in diffrerent ways to get the full and complete rendering of the associated scriptures >It would also help if you would ask specific question, or related questions so that I can give you the best answer
  4. Sorry, but that is the way I do it I do not always indicate a poster in my replies, but the posting itself I generally am responding to the material as stated and not necessarily the one who makes the posting Sometimes the posting is and should be the focus rather than the poster Especially when an item is controversial and subject to potential argumentation and debating If I detect this possibility I will generally respond without making my comments personal for avoidance I am against the display of causing division and the wrangling over doctrine which is a behavior that is prevalent on most biblical forums because I think that it is a discredit to the Lord's Word So I post to share information and those with an interest can view, or if not, can ignore
  5. "So why are you calling them demons?" >The term in question is "beast" >The symbolic animal beasts in Daniel represent successive human kingdoms [Daniel 7] >The term used in Revelation identifies fallen angelic entities [Revelation 9:11; 11:7; 18:8] >The first beast's "heads" are 7 kingdoms and associated human king positions that he rules over for satan [the dragon]
  6. This is the post that you refer to: "Stephen1, you DO know there is a curse for adding things to Revelation, right? The text does not state antichrist parenthetically and it does not belong there. Please stop adding it in. The beast is Rome, personified by Nero. Likewise, you ASSUME Daniel speaks of this antichrist that you mention, but the fact is that he does not, you (and others) have eisegeted (read in) this into the text." >Sorry, I cannot agree .... will not accommodate your request >I do not believe that the historical/preteristic view is valid and I do not teach it The first part is the posting of another in quotes My comments are added with the > This is the way I do it
  7. "In Daniel, the beasts are representative of nations-kingdoms. Why should the rules change in Revelation?" >They don't .... Daniel and Revelation are totally compatible and uniquely parallel >The kingdoms, associated king positions, and "heads" of the beast are all the same
  8. "Stephen1, you DO know there is a curse for adding things to Revelation, right? The text does not state antichrist parenthetically and it does not belong there. Please stop adding it in. The beast is Rome, personified by Nero. Likewise, you ASSUME Daniel speaks of this antichrist that you mention, but the fact is that he does not, you (and others) have eisegeted (read in) this into the text." >Sorry, I cannot agree .... will not accommodate your request >I do not believe that the historical/preteristic view is valid and I do not teach it
  9. Maybe I am not Seek the Lord and His Word with proper motive and He will lead you into all truth
  10. Briefly ..... This fallen angelic, the first beast of Revelation, is Abaddon-Apollyon who rules over the 7 human kingdoms and associated human king positions for satan .... satan is the god of this world This beast is described in Revelation 9:11; 11:7; and 17:8 Five of his ancient kingdoms have fallen .... the 5th just before the first century .... these are all identified in scripture and verified by historical records He is currently in the abyss where some of the fallen angelics are imprisoned and he is their king .... no interaction with humanity is possible while these are in the abyss [Jude 1:6] He was sent to the abyss after his 5th kingdom fell .... and is still there today He will come out of the abyss to rule again during the coming tribulation period .... and he will be released by satan [Revelation 9:1 .... read Revelation 12 regarding satan and the fallen angelics] Abaddon-Apollyon will be destroyed in the lake of fire at Armageddon [Revelation 19:20] .... and satan will then be captured and imprisomed in the abyss for 1,000 years [Revelation 20:1-3]
  11. "The verses you quoted DO NOT describe this mythical antichrist at all, Stephen1. These however DO describe the BIBLICAL antichrist" Sorry .... have to disagree Don't know what you mean by "mythical" antichrist The spirit of antichrist is in the world and has been since the beginning of human creation .... "antichrist" means "against" Jesus Christ But there is one coming who is "the" "antichrist" ..... specifically identified by many different scriptures .... the little horn of Daniel's visions, the man of lawlessness, the Assyrian, satan's beast from the abyss This entity is one who will walk the earth and do satan's bidding during the coming tribulation period [Daniel 7,8,11; Micah 5:5-6; 2Thessalonians 2:8-11; Revelation 9:11; 11:7; 12:12; 17:8]
  12. AC was either confused, or attempting to deceive The temple in Revelation 11:1 is the Lord's temple in heaven just as all of Revelation's references to the temple The court on the earth is the top of the temple mount ..... the court "without" the Lord's temple which was destroyed long ago It is the temple mount on the earth that will be controlled [overrun and occupied] by the beast and his followers for 42 months during the last 1260 days of the 70th week decreed for Israel
  13. There is nothing standing in the way of the Lord's sudden intervention at this moment .... He could call the church home before this day is over .... then the 70th week for national Israel will begin .... no warning or signs will be given to the world Jesus refers to the holy "place" and says that there must be correct understanding of what He is saying. He does not say the "temple", but refers to the holy "place": [Matthew 24:15] Pronunciation Guide topos {top'-os} TDNT Reference Root Word TDNT - 8:187,1184 Outline of Biblical Usage 1) place, any portion or space marked off, as it were from surrounding space a) an inhabited place, as a city, village, district b) a place (passage) in a book Pronunciation Guide anaginosko {an-ag-in-oce'-ko} TDNT Reference Root Word TDNT - 1:343,55 from 303 and 1097 Outline of Biblical Usage 1) to distinguish between, to recognise, to know accurately, to acknowledge 2) to read Pronunciation Guide noeo {no-eh'-o} TDNT Reference Root Word TDNT - 4:948,636 from 3563 Outline of Biblical Usage 1) to perceive with the mind, to understand, to have understanding 2) to think upon, heed, ponder, consider The Place of the Lord's Sanctuary Daniel's visions reference the same place at the time of the end. [Daniel 8:11, 8:13] Pronunciation Guide makown {maw-kone'} TWOT Reference Root Word TWOT - 964c from 03559 Outline of Biblical Usage 1) fixed or established place, foundation a) fixed place b) foundation Pronunciation Guide miqdash {mik-dawsh'} TWOT Reference Root Word TWOT - 1990f from 06942 Outline of Biblical Usage 1) sacred place, sanctuary, holy place a) of the temple b) of the tabernacle c) of Ezekiel's temple d) of Jehovah The temple of the man of lawlessness Paul's reference to the man of lawlessness and the temple he will sit in. [2Thessolonians 2:4] Pronunciation Guide naos {nah-os'} TDNT Reference Root Word TDNT - 4:880,625 from a primary naio (to dwell) Outline of Biblical Usage 1) used of the temple at Jerusalem, but only of the sacred edifice (or sanctuary) itself, consisting of the Holy place and the Holy of Holies (in classical Greek it is used of the sanctuary or cell of the temple, where the image of gold was placed which is distinguished from the whole enclosure) 2) any heathen temple or shrine 3) metaph. the spiritual temple consisting of the saints of all ages joined together by and in Christ The "holy place" referred to in the setting of the coming 70th week decreed for Israel is the temple mount area and not a rebuilt edifice [a temple of the Lord's on the earth]. The actual temple was destroyed in the first century and is no longer there. The Lord has said that not one stone would be left standing of His first century temple and this fact is still true today .... and will be during His coming hour [time] of trial and judgment. It was destroyed during the Roman invasions of 70 A.D. [Matthew 24:1-2] Satan's "man of lawlessness" will sit in the temple of "his" god, showing that he is god [either the Muslim Dome of the Rock or the Al Aqsa Mosque]. Paul understood the relationship between a pagan god and the related heathen temple. [2Thessalonians 2:4] There are no instructions contained in scripture to rebuild a temple for the Lord before He establishes His millennial Kingdom on the earth. There are instructions for rebuilding in this future time frame just after the 70th week decreed for Israel. [Ezekiel 40-48] The Lord's temple is seen in Revelation several times during the coming tribulation period of His wrath upon earth, but it is His temple in heaven and not one on the earth. In fact, the outer court of the temple mount on the earth is "without" His temple and the mount [court] will be trampled [controlled] by satan's little horn/beast and his human followers [the adherents of Islam] during his 42 month [1,260 day] rule. [Matthew 24:15-16; 2Thessalonians 2:3-12; Revelation 11:1-19; 13:1-8; 14:15-17; 15:5-8; 16:17] The first 1,260 days of the 70th week decreed for Israel will include satan's bid for control over the earth through his angelic agents and human followers. This period will be an extreme time of devastation and destruction including the fall of the "great city" [civilization] of the Gentiles [nations] and the release of millions of satan's angelic hosts. [Revelation 8; 9; 14; 17; 18] The Lord will continue to harbor [protect] national Israel from invasion and occupation and this has been the case since 1948. His protection will continue until just before the middle of the coming 70th week. [Jeremiah 30; Ezekiel 38:8-16; Zechariah 14] Satan's followers will then be in position without opposition to invade, occupy, and add the holy land, Jerusalem, and the temple mount area to the dominion of his man of lawlessness, the little horn/beast, king of the northern Middle East.
  14. Agreed, Preterism is a bankrupt theology with no answers for future exegesis of the prophetic scriptures .... in fact those who hold this position are in the classification of the scoffers of the last days [2Peter 3:3-4] Here is the first beast of Revelation [Revelation 9:11; 11:7; 13:1; 17:8] .... he is a fallen angelic who will do satan's bidding on the earth during the coming tribulation period
