  1. Blessings, Jesus was asked whats the greatest commandment, ESV Luke 10:27: And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” In 1 Corinthians 13, we have what love is, and what love is not. ESV 1If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing. 4Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, 5does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,6does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part; 10but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away. 11When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things. 12For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. 13But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love. Therefore, if the response is contra to this (especially about God) there is no question, its not love. Your husband has this responsibility to point you to Christ. That's his role, for him to encourage this as your most personal, intimate relationship.
  2. As I mentioned in my first post, for Catholics its "Jesus and". It's sad because I see members of my own family here in Indonesia who hold to the Catholic doctrine, despite what I have said to them. Very dangerous ground.
  3. Correct me if I am wrong, but the dedication for a Catholic is to the Catholic church, primarily. That includes everything that goes along with that.
  4. Its very dangerous to add to what Jesus has done in any regards.
  5. Yes, and right now I live in a country where a large majority, believe that their sins are made right because of fasting for a month, and slaughtering some cattle......... They are completely lost.
  6. The main thing is Loving accordingly, the Lord thy God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength, and likewise neighbor as oneself. In that one will desire to pray/praise/worship/fellowship/study the Scriptures/share the Good News/and be Thankful through it all.
  7. Hmm, if your speaking about Catholicism, basically your saying "Jesus and". In otherwords, Your saying that in Addition to Coming into Relationship with Christ, there are other requirements, such as rosary beads, veneration of Mary, etc. This is definately wrong. I refer to John 14:6 as to this.
