As Christians we are to be Christ like. Ask yourself WWJD? When he returns, will he follow the Law? My guess is Yes.. Which parts of the Law did he "ignore " when he was here 2000 years ago? None. He was sinless. And he will remain sinless for eternity Just remember observing the law is not a means of salvation. It brings us closer to the Lord.

Retrobyter, Excellent job of illustrating the futility of discussing the tribulation and timing of events around it. The Bible doesn't define "Great Tribulation". Therefore, it could be the first 3 1/2, the second 3 1/2, 7,or even 2000 years. Or it could be unrelated to any of those time periods. How can you even discuss a topic, if you can't even agree on its definition? I would encourage everyone to NOT listen to their Pastors on this issue, because they are usually parroting what they've learned in seminary Address this topic by prayerfully approaching God's word and relying on the revelation of the Holy Spirit. (Rather on the traditions of man)

We had a speaker at our church a few years ago. He decided to prophecy over the congregation. I was more than a bit concerned because I didn't know if he was a true prophet, so I entered into prayer and asked God to use him for the sake of the church. He came up to me and spoke over me describing the things that were taking place in my life, and told me not to be concerned because these things were God's will and all things will work out fine. He was very detailed in his description, and these were things that hadn't been discussed with anyone in the church. It was completely amazing. Although there may be people called to specifically be a prophet, I believe God can speak through anyone, including non-believers.

Could someone please enlighten me regarding the Jubilee Cycles. Some scholars indicate that the Cycle is 50 years, while others say it's actually 49 years, and the 50th year is also the first year of the next cycle. I'm leaning towards 49 years only because of the following: There's a seven day week There's a seven week counting of the omer There's a seven month period of the Lord's Feasts There's a seven year agricultural cycle Seven agricultural cycles would equal 49 years And I'm guessing there's a 7000 year timeline for creation.

I completely agree. The whole "Prayer of Jabez" thing amounted to nothing more than spiritual witchcraft. Who do we think we are, trying to force God's hand by performing some ritual?

I'm confused.. Typically, the two hand analogy is intended to reflect a positive/negative meaning. Are you saying it's wrong for gentiles to worship "in the Hebraic way"?
