The ark being completely sealed by the hand of God for 40 days  to any witnessing of judgement or  of anything else . 

So says the Word of God . 

 

Once again we have the very familiar  scenario of the  post-trib crowd running headlong in the solid  rock wall of God's Word in their purposelessness , while the pre-trib 

position is in complete prophetic concord with the Word of this Jesus who is the Christ .

 

 

 

 

                                                                               

Okay, so if you want the "as in the days of Noah" to be taken literally, you are forgetting that while in the ark they were in the midst of the most violent storm and upheaval the earth had to that time, and since, experienced. If you don't think they were afraid and sea-sick, and praying earnestly to their God to save them, you are mistaken. They were not removed from the chaos. Far from it. They were smack in the middle of it, being thrown about and storm tossed and remember, they were not sailors. The disciples feared for their lives on a storm in the lake of Galilee and they were experienced hardened fishermen. Noah, his wife, and their family had never even seen a boat, let alone been on one on calm sea ...they likely had never swum a stroke in their lives...nothing they could do could keep them safe but pray and have faith that God would watch over them. They were going through the most difficult time of their lives...far greater hardship than building the boat and being abused by neighbours. They were NOT in heaven having a good time. You can safely assume that there were many angels keeping that boat afloat and encouraging the occupants constantly that all would be well. All this is not a picture of a rapture where people are removed entirely from the wrath to come. You have no idea of the magnitude of the coming crisis and to think you wont be here is gross presumption and NOT Biblical teaching. Read again the parable of the tares and wheat. That is your rock solid wall. 

Allow me to present a little history. In 1825 a small group of men, dissatisfied with the spiritual
condition of the Protestant Church in Ireland, met in Dublin to
spiritually strengthen one another. Soon other groups were formed
in Ireland and in England. The most famous of these was the one in
Plymouth.
This group came to be known as the Plymouth Brethren. Among the notables in these fellowships were Edward Irving, Dr. S. P. Tregelles and John Nelson Darby (who joined in 1827). At some point during this time, Edward Irving heard some mysterious utterances in an unknown tongue telling him that there was going to be a secret rapture of the church before the visible coming of Jesus.
This was a new concept in the incredible journey of futurism. Futurists
themselves will admit that this idea was alien to the Christian church until the 19th century. Dr. S. P. Tregelles, who, as we have noted, for some time belonged to the Plymouth Brethren movement but later abandoned it describes Irving’s experience:
“I am not aware that there was any definite teaching that there would be a secret rapture of the Church at a secret coming, until this was given forth as an utterance in Mr. Irving’s church, from what was there received as being the Voice of the Spirit. But whether anyone ever asserted such a thing or not, it was from that supposed revelation that the modern doctrine and the modern phraseology arose. It came not from Holy Scripture, but from that which falsely pretended to be the Spirit of God.” (S. P. Tregelles, The Hope of Christ’s Second Coming, first published in 1864, and now available at Ambassadors for Christ, Los Angeles, California).
From 1830 onward, a series of conferences were held at Powerscourt Castle in Ireland. We know that Edward Irving attended some of these as did John Nelson Darby and other key leaders of the Plymouth Brethren. At these meetings literalistic futurism became the prophetic methodology of choice and the idea of the secret rapture was adopted. The views established at these conferences soon spread like grassfire and penetrated other denominations.

George Eldon Ladd:
“It would probably come as a shock to many modern futurists to be told that the first scholar in relatively modern times who returned to the patristic futuristic interpretation was a Spanish Jesuit named Ribera. In 1590 Ribera published a commentary on the Revelation as a counter-interpretation to the prevailing view among Protestants which identified the Papacy with the Antichrist. Ribera applied all of Revelation but the earliest chapters to the end time rather than to the history of the Church. Antichrist would be a single evil person who would be received by the Jews and would rebuild Jerusalem, abolish Christianity, deny Christ, persecute the Church and rule the world for three and a half years.” (George Eldon Ladd, The Blessed Hope, Grand Rapids: Eerdman’s, 1972, p. 37).
Next I will quote Joseph Tanner: “ So great a hold did the conviction that the Papacy was the Antichrist gain upon the minds of men, that Rome at last saw she must bestir herself, and try, by putting forth other systems of interpretation, to counteract the identification of the Papacy with the Antichrist. Accordingly, towards the close of the century of the Reformation two of her most learned doctors set themselves to the task, each endeavoring by different means to accomplish the same end, namely, that of diverting men’s minds from perceiving the fulfillment of the prophecies of the Antichrist in the Papal system.

Roman Catholic, G. S. Hitchcock, states: “The Futuristic School, founded by the Jesuit Ribera in 1591, looks for Antichrist, Babylon and a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem, at the end of the Christian Dispensation. . . The Praeterist School, founded by the Jesuit Alcasar in 1614, explains the Revelation by the Fall of Jerusalem, or by the fall of Pagan Rome in 410 A. D.” (G. S. Hitchcock, The Beasts and the Little Horn, p. 7).
Well has Tanner remarked: “It is a matter for deep regret that those who hold and advocate the futurist system at the present day, Protestants as they are for the most part, are thus really playing into the hands of Rome, and helping to screen the Papacy from detection as the Antichrist.
It has been well said that ‘Futurism tends to obliterate the brand put by the Holy Spirit upon Popery.’ More especially is this to be deplored at a time when the Papal Antichrist seems to be making an expiring effort to regain his former hold on men’s minds.” (Joseph Tanner, Daniel and the Revelation, [London: Hodder and Stoughton, 1898], p. 17).

Let us look at those Biblical passages most commonly used in support of the rapture theory, and that form the basis for the ‘left behind’ phenomenom.

As we study these scriptures we must realise that all of them are in the context of prophecy regarding the second coming of Jesus Christ. It is the second advent that climaxes all the above crisis’ and is the focal point of all prophecy.

Matthew 24:37-41  But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,  And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.  Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Now please note carefully what Jesus is saying here. First, the second coming will be affected in precisely the same way as the great flood. The unrighteous will not be aware of the signs of the times, they shall be living at ease, living life as normal with little or no thought of eternity, when they shall be taken all away.

Let us go to the parallel passage in the gospel of Luke. You will note that Luke adds a little more detail giving a slightly different perspective.

Luke 17:26-37  And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.  They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.  Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;  But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.  Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.  In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.  Remember Lot’s wife.  Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.  I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.  Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.  And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

The people that Matthew says are taken away,  Luke adds that they are destroyed. Thus the ‘taken away’ aspect or context of what Jesus is telling His disciples equates to death or destruction. This is borne out later in Luke’s passage when the disciples ask Him, “where are they taken to?” Jesus answer concerning the gathering of eagles around the carcasse echoes the following:

Revelation 19:17  And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;  That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.  And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.  And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.  And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

I am beginning to think that being left behind isn’t such a bad alternative.

Pre-trib rapture teaches that those in Christ will be removed from the scene leaving the unsaved to their fate. What everyone missed is that Noah and his family were witnesses to God's judgement. So also was Israel witnesses to the plagues that fell upon Egypt. But both Israel and Noah were protected because they were "in Christ". They were separated and sanctified by God, yet were witnesses to God's justice.Jesus said that the tares shall be first bundled up to be burnt, then the wheat gathered up into the barn. This was in response to the questions of the labourers in the field whether the enemy's plants should be uprooted. No, Jesus said, leave them all to grow together until they all mature. Why is that? Because by their fruits ye shall know them. This goes for the angels as well whose work it is to gather up the harvest. The coming crisis will  not be a developer of character, it will be a revelation of character, and for that revelation to be effective during the harvest, all must continue to grow together till the end. 

As to the first post, I was following along quite nicely until he got to the part where he described the antichrist entering the temple after 3 and 1/2 years into the tribulation. I have to admit and confess, that I get quite frustrated and angry with the devil (not the writers or believers of these theories) that he has so effectively confused the issue as far as antichrist is concerned. So so many have bought into the lie of a future individual entering a Jewish temple during a 7 year tribulation. It is ALL A LIE folks. It is nonsense.  You are deceived. 

Yes, there is a crisis coming the magnitude of which we cannot imagine. But nowhere in scripture does it suggest a 7 year duration. That is a Jesuit hoax. A Jesuit lie bough hook line and sinker by Protestants. The antichrist is already in the temple of God. (Any future Jewish temple will NEVER be the temple of God). The temple of God is US!. It is His church. And the antichrist is among us NOW! Has been for nearly 2000 years, not long after Paul wrote to the Thessalonians warning them of his impending arrival. That apostasy spoken of in the OP, and the revealing of the true antichrist taking place at the same time, has already taken place. Elsewhere Paul spoke of the one who was 'restraining' the antichrist. Guess what. He was removed in the 4th century. It was pagan Rome that was removed when Constantine went to Costantinople. That removal of the restrainer made way for the growth of worldliness in the church...and their lust for power led to a falling away which resulted in the papacy...the antichrist. All the reformers knew this. This is the one thing they all agreed on. And to turn their accusations away from Rome,the Jesuits invented a whole new way of interpreting prophecy. Futurism. A 7 year tribulation...a future individual antichrist... a future "peace treaty after a 3 and 1/2 year... a pre-trib rapture....and all of it disguises the identity of the real threat which is all around you right now waiting his opportunity to take your head off as he did during the dark ages to all who disagreed with him. And nearly all the world is now "wondering after the beast" and ready to place him on the global one world religion throne ...the church whore ruling the state....the woman riding the beast. Hey bro, I never thought of that. Yep, prostate enlargement I knew of and has been verified, but my young 12 yo grand-daughter drinks cranberry juice often because of urinary issues. Mmmmm. Ta muchly. Now didn't this thread start with reminiscing? 

As far as fats are concerned, my diet is great...vegetarian ...could go vegan if I cut my cheese intake...which is not a great deal. No other dairy food apart from the rare serving of cheese. Only a little bread and I'm a healthy 75KG with no health issues. And yes, Natural medicines are the only way...there's as much danger and side issues in pharma as there is in the processed food industry. 

I think the beauty of those "old days" was indeed the simplicity. Today, I think the 'busyness' of our lives distracts, deceives,  and to a great extent even obliterates those things that are really important. Like prayer and Bible study. Like visiting friends. LIke having visitors. Like relaxing with your kids at the local park (if you can avoid the hooligans and drug addicts) , like spending time with your kids teaching them how not build a trolley (are those things even legal these days)

  Unfortunately some people who have been raised in the RCC have a misguided loyalty like the RCC is their "sacred  spiritual mother" and that shows a HUGE part of the problem right there. The RCC is NOT sacred and it is not holy and it is nobody's "Mother" spiritual or otherwise.  Only GOD is SACRED and HOLY and only the LORD GOD is our  FATHER. I think it is evidence of the brainwashing that has taken place, people in their psyches think they will go to hell if they speak against "her". 

As one brought up in the Catholic church I can testify first hand that you have it spot on. There was, for me, in the beginning an intense fear and nervousness in stepping away from or even contemplating the idea that Rome could possibly have it wrong...why? Because we were taught that ONLY IN ROME is there found salvation. ONLY IN ROME> That was the case 50 years ago...it was the case 1000 years ago...it is still the case today, although it may be hidden behind some very clever semantics.  Catholics are emotionally bound to Rome...even to investigate scripture by the aid of the Holy Spirit is forbidden, or at least considered ill advised on account of the claim that ONLY the elites of Rome, the Curia or the Magisterium, have the right to interpret scripture.

I believe that God allowed me some time in which to adjust before finally committing to the truth. After leaving high school I only once returned to the Catholic church to attend a meeting before I received Christ at age 24. I suspect I would have found it far more difficult to adopt any new faith or belief system if I had been faithfully attending the Catholic church and was committed to it.  After my conversion however I went back....twice. It was then I discovered that Christ was not in that church, for several reasons I need not go into here. Bt nevertheless, in my learning from the Bible subsequently, It was still very difficult to accept some of what I was learning, and a sense of fear that maybe I was getting things very very wrong and was bound for hell as a result. Not because I was accepting Biblical truth, but because I was rejecting "Roman 'truth'".  By the grace and mercy of God He lead me and taught me the way to go, which for all eternity I shall be grateful.

Their church/state union ruled Europe for 1260 years. (Sound familiar?). Then in 1928 Mussolini returned the civil power once again to the Vatican, which power they lost in 1798. Now, they've gone global in thier aspirations, and are finding success through the ecumenical movement. All the powers since Babel were Antichrist...beasts every one....just as the final beast will be ruled by a woman. The state beast ruled by the church. The final fully developed antichrist system developing exponentially before our very eyes. Never mind looking to some weirdo entering Jerusalem to take over some fictitious temple.

Remember 9/11? For a month or two after that everyone and their cocker spaniel went to church and confessed faith in ‘God’. And, to my personal horror, the US president decides to get up into the pulpit and proclaim from there, as if he was preaching a ‘godly Christian evangelical gospel message’...”he who is not with us is against us”. I got real angry at that. But on another level was not surprised. In the coming crisis we will witness the same again. Churches will be packed. The churches will unite together, and even with the government, in standing against a common threat.

The problem is that they will all be united, not on the  basis of Biblical or doctrinal truth…not on the basis of a desire to share the gospel with the world…not on the basis of sharing the love of Jesus with their neighbours…but purely and simply out of self preservation. Jesus said that the rulers will have no solutions, and everyone will be panicking. So they turn to religion. Not the religion taught in the Bible, but the new-age Christ-consciousness counterfeit religion taught on TV by such as Copeland and Winfrey, and espoused by the popular press and media. It will be a mixture of New age…apostate Protestantism…and Roman Catholicism. The confusion of Babylon the Great. They will offer up prayers and make all manner of well meaning and pious pronouncements and a pretence of repentance while the crisis deepens, and when no answers come, will look around for some-one to blame who hasn’t joined them in their sincere but hopeless charade. That some-one who they will target will be those who refuse to worship their global church/state union and image of the medieval papal  beast, and who refuse to accept the ‘mark’ of the beast’s authority. And my friend, this mark has nothing to do with fiscal convenience. The seal is the opposite, and the seal  has everything to do with worship and loyalty to the true Creator God. The fiscal aspect…that is the buying and selling aspect…is merely an inducement to accept the mark. An inducement to worship according to the dictates of man. Other inducement will be fines, then jail, and finally the death sentence.

The coming crisis will reveal the true character of both the righteous and the wicked. It will not form character, but expose it. Thus will the true fruits be revealed of who belongs to Jesus , and who doesn’t. The harvest will then be seen to be ripe, both wheat and tares are ripe for harvest, the angels will first come and bundle the tares to be burned,then  the wheat to be gathered into God’s barn. (See Rev.14)

Armageddon is the war that precedes this. A war that ensues between the false ‘Christian’ world, and the true. Remember, the entire world is caught up in this crisis. Jesus said we will be hated of all nations for His name's sake. The entire world joins with the beast and the false prophet to worship the false counterfeit system….the nations of the world unite against God’s people, spiritual Israel. Remember also what Jesus said about us at this time? We will be called to testify before Kings and before the rulers of this world. We will be called to account for our ‘heresy’ before the courts. It will be a repeat of the dark ages under papal rule, only on a global scale. And Protestantism is walking right into it.

Do any of you dear readers now begin to understand how a focus on the Middle East and upon literal Israel is just a red herring of the enemy of our souls and part of his deceptions? There is far more import to your being prepared for the coming crisis than simply observing the politics of the Middle east. You need to be personally prepared. You need to know what you believe, and why. Because my friends, you will be called to defend your beliefs before a world that will hate everything you claim to stand for. All the while they claiming to stand for the truth, and you being inspired of Satan. Israel will have nothing to do with your confession before the courts. Your support for Israel or lack thereof will be utterly meaningless when you are questioned regarding your loyalties to Christ, when the lies and corruptions of Rome are held before you as evidence of your loyalty to Rome, when it is revealed that you haven't yet fully come out of her, believing as you still do in her fundamental doctrines. Will you be prepared then to reject her mark of authority while standing before a court sworn to your destruction if found guilty?

I wrote this just prior to the final inauguration of Trump a year ago. This was at the height of the black lives mater protests and the inordinate focus on over-the-top police responses. Four principle emotions were running rampant throughout the United States at that time.  Fear…self-preservation…anger…hatred. Also, an overwhelming distrust of western democracy due to corruption, the inability or unwillingness to face real issues, and a deep abiding suspicion that their government representatives are selling their nation out to globalist self serving power hungry banking cartels.
This situation is eeringly similar to what was taking place in Europe in the 1920s, and which blinded everyone to the dangers of totalitarianism in the rise of Hitler. Tremendously popular, promising future greatness, charismatic….it was Abraham Lincoln who wisely said, perhaps prophetically, “familiarize yourself with the chains of bondage and you prepare your own limbs to wear them. Accustomed to trample on the rights of others, you have lost the genius of your own independence and become fit subjects of the first cunning tyrant who rises among you.

From the ineffectiveness of liberal left wing governments are we seeing the other extreme in reaction? Is it possible that both sides may have been successfully infiltrated by the same people who are fomenting unrest on all sides deliberately to accomplish a greater purpose? Think about it. Was the behaviour of the police normal? NO!! Was the behaviour of the people normal? NO!! Is the behaviour of the left today normal? NO! What if both sides have among them agents of one  who while professedly a friend to all but by division and creation of violence bring about a public reaction in favour of bringing this entity to power? Like Jesuits for example who would like nothing more than the formation of an extreme right-wing Protestant theocracy which would be under control of those self same Jesuits... (please note that all four candidates in the recent past election were closely associated with Jesuits? 2 of them attended Jesuit schools...one other was staunchly Catholic, the 4th, Clinton, her husband was Jesuit educated. Know this that whatever you learn from Jesuits, it must include political globalist Roman inspired and Roman led socialism.) ....who have been infiltrating Protestant theological seminaries and universities for decades. Then through the current ecumenical movement (like the several meetings and rallies that have been held since) hand over American democracy lock stock and barrel into the hands of Rome???

The dark history of Rome is very well documented...from first hand witnesses as given in such books as Foxes Book of Martyrs, or historical treatises such as Wylie's Historical books on the reformation and the Waldenses. Catholics such as I once was, brought up and instructed only in catechism and a very selective perspective of history, never learn these things concerning the dark side until we are free from Roman influence and able to conscientiously distinguish between truth and error, and break free of the fear attached to loosening oneself from the "you must obey the church or else" dictates of Rome. 

What helps further is true Biblical education in relation to theology...soteriology...and prophecy...all of which have been distorted and corrupted through the influence of Jesuits disguising themselves as Protestant teachers and professors even in Protestant universities and colleges. What the reformation began has yet to be completed...full and complete rejection of everything that the Vatican promulgates as "Catholic or Christian truth". What passes for Protestantism today, as well as the many independent non-denominational churches that proliferate Christianity, would unite in the truth by default in proportion to the extent to which they repudiate Roman Catholic principles and dogmas. We have a way to go to completely "come out of her My people".

I wonder what the folks that live on other words look like. How do they recognise one another? Do those from alpha-zip3 look different from planet Zykos in the third realm of Arcturus? (Cut me some slack here, I have no idea what I am talking about, but hey, we are all fantasising here right?) So are the Arcturians green, and the Zykonians blue? How will they recognise humans? We are all colours!!!  So I figure that when I am on my annual vacations, flying through parts of the universe where even angels fear to tread, I will be wearing my new favourite T shirt. On the front will be written...I Survivied Planet Earth.

While on that subject, Genghis Khan may have been ruthless with his political enemies, but was remarkably tolerant to all religions. Several of his immediate descendants within just a couple of generations became Christians and ruled over Christian empires numbering 100s of thousands of people.

I don't miss the eighties so much...but I sure miss being an 80s 30 something....seems I could get around a whole lot faster in those days...I could even shoot a hoop from the 3 point line....pass by a public toilet without asking myself if I can make it to the next one....get whacked by a cuddly toy without bruising....not getting bothered by glare off the white eye-brows....

Although as one gets older one gets more excited by the little things in life...like surviving a swim with the grand-kids without getting drowned...and not being overwhelmed with embarrassment as you show them pictures of you from the eighties dressed for church in flared corduroy...

Catholic apologists go to the well worn reasoning that because Jesus promised that the gates of hell would not prevail over the church, then the RCC must have the truth, to the exclusion of all others. What all Catholics are not taught, myself included as a young man, was that outside of Rome there was a vibrant powerful Christian community that grew and converted millions. What Rome has attemtped to do is hide and destroy the evidence of such...trying to convince the world that she was the only shop in town. Not so. The Celtic church in Britain. The Waldenses. The Ethiopian church. The Albigenses. The Assyrian church that presided over a vast parish that stretched from Persia through India all the way to China. Entire kingdoms in China were Christian. In fact, the main reason that Europe wasn't defeated by Mongolian armies was that so many of the Khan families were Christians. The gates of hell did not prevail over the true faith...it is just that Rome didn't have it.
