  1. I'd rather have Jesus than silver or gold I'd rather be His than have riches untold I'd rather have Jesus than houses or land I'd rather be led by His nail-pierced hand Than to be the king of a vast domain And be held in sin's dread sway I'd rather have Jesus than anything This world affords today I'd rather have Jesus than worldly applause I'd rather be faithful to His dear cause I'd rather have Jesus than worldwide fame Yes, I'd rather be true to His holy name Than to be the king of a vast domain And be held in sin's dread sway I'd rather have Jesus than anything This world affords today
  2. Charlie, my conclusion about the little horn person is that at the time of end he will attempt to stand up against the Prince of princes in Daniel 8:25 and be broken. The statue in Daniel 2, in the days of the toes and feet, will be broken as well, and becomes dust in the wind, by the same Prince of princes.
  3. Charlie, the little horn person and his activities are "time of the end". Daniel 8:17. So forget about all the historical arguments about the papacy being the little horn.
  4. Hi Marilyn, in Micah 5:6, it looks like the seven shepherds, and eight principal men destroy the homeland of the Assyrian. Where do you think land of Assyria and the land of Nimod in the entrances thereof - is ? I think you were saying - Syria, Iraq & Jordan. It looks like the verse is talking about Iran, imo. Which would make sense considering the position of Iran against Israel. And Iran's military and operatives. It could be a part of the Gog-Magog event, as the Assyrian comes into "our (Israel's) land" in verse 5. I don't see the Assyrian as being the Antichrist - who to become the Antichrist must be anointed the King of Israel, thought-to-be messiah that the Jews are expecting. The Assyrian appears to be an established foe against Israel. Michah 5: 5 And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men. 6 And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.
  5. Hi Marilyn, Just to be fair, this is the verse that is often used to support the Antichrist as being the Assyrian thinking. (back track to Micah 4:1, in the last days) Micah 5:5 And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men. If the Assyrian in verse 5 is an end times personality, I think he is the leader of one of the Gog/Magog nations - as the seven shepherds, and eight principal men destroy his homeland - the land of Nimrod. Perhaps he will be the leader of Iran. He will not be the Antichrist person, who eventually becomes the beast-king who will be broken by Jesus at Jesus's Second Coming and cast alive into the lake of fire.
  6. Hi Marilyn, Isaiah live at the time of the southern kingdom of Judah and northern kingdom of Israel. Coinciding with the westward expansion of the Assyrian empire. Isaiah 31 is a prophecy against the king of Assyria of those days. Not an end times prophecy. ---------------------------- While Islam is a critical factor in the end times leading up to the Gog/Magog event in Ezekiel 38-39, it will will no longer be a force after Gog/Magog. The Muslim control of the temple mount will end and the Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqsa mosque removed , and the Jews will build their temple in their place. The world is going to be pretty happy when that happens and will be saying "peace and safety", the middle east powder keg gone.
  7. The Pope cannot be the Antichrist. Neither can the Mahdi be the Antichrist. "Anti" - instead of and/or against. Christ - messiah, John 4:25 Christ - King of Israel, John 12:13, Mark 15:32, Matthew 27:42 AntiChrist - instead of and against Jesus, the true King of Israel messiah. The Antichrist must be a Jew, who's religion is judaism, in order to be anointed the King fo Israel, thought-to-be messiah.
  8. Joe, Jesus's Second Coming which all the earth will see Him is at the Armageddon event. The Armageddon event is in Ezekiel 39:17-20, not 7 years before.

    Daniel 7

Charlie, the comprehensive plan of salvation was not revealed in the old testament. There are components in the old testament, such as the messiah cutoff but not for himself. But not everything put together in one precise passage of what the plan of salvation was to be. The comprehensive plan of salvation was not revealed until Luke 24:44-48 after the resurrection, by Jesus. Luke 24: 44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. 45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, 46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: 47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
  10. The four angels (bad angels) who will have been bound from crossing the great river Euphrates - will be able to near the end of the 7 years. The kjv says that the four angels are bound "in" the great river Euphrates. Either way, they will be spiritual influencers over the kings of the east. Revelation 16:12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. The kings of the east will march their massive armies westward and will kill a third of mankind along the way to attack the beast-king. The beast-king is not the king of the north, because he originates from north and west of Israel in Daniel 8:9. The battles in Daniel 11:40-45 are not battles involving only the king of the north and king of the south.
  11. To bring all nations to battle in Zechariah 14, will require the armies from the four cardinal directions relevant to Jerusalem be drawn into the middle east first. West, North, South, East. In Daniel 11:40 -45, first the king of the South attack "him". The "him" is the beast-king, king of the West. Then seeing that taking place, the King of the North attacks "him". Then after a quick set of victories by the king of the West, news out of the north and east alarm "him". The kings of the east and their massive armies. As the 200,000,000 size kings of the east armies start moving west to the middle east, they will kill a third of mankind on their way - mostly in India and Pakistan it appears.
  12. Marilyn, The willful king (the beast-king) Daniel 11:36, will honuur the God of forces. It is talking about his military. 38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. 39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain. Then near the end of the 7 years, as the king of the west, he becomes involved in battles with the king of the north, the south, and the east, all attacking him, in Daniel 11:40-45. As a prelude to Armageddon to bring all nations into the middle east with their militaries. So he and his ten king kingdom have to have a strong military. The ten Muslim nations you listed don't have that sort of military capability. As king of the west, the EU will probably be allied by the United States and Canada.
  13. No, they are not. But what I am pointing out to you is that those ten nations you list don't have the military strength to carry out the will of the kingdom of the beast. i.e. they are not collectively, the kingdom of the beast. All gentile, yes. But not Global Government. Instead, the kingdom of the ten kings who hand their kingdom over to the beast - to be dictator of it. Revelation 17: 16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. 17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
  14. Ezekiel 38: 5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: 6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. There is no peace treaty made by the Antichrist. Daniel 9:27 is the Mt Sinai covenant that the Antichrist as the King of Israel thought-to-be messiah confirms - acting out the role, and following what Moses required of all future leaders of Israel in Deuteronomy 31:9-13, the 7 year cycle.
  15. Marilyn, the Gog/Magog event results in the destruction of most of Russia's army, and the Muslim nations armies. It does not affect the armies of the EU, the U.S and Canada, and the Eastern nations like China. The little horn person in Daniel 8:9 comes from north and west of Israel, waxing exceedingly great implying that he enters the middle east with a strong army. Since he destroys many by peace, that indicates that following Gog/Magog, he will enter the middle east with his EU military on the premise of being peace keeper in the region.
  16. The whole verse is... 7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel. Three parts to that verse that all have to do with God's reputation. 1. So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; 2. and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: 3. and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel. In part 3, God is made known to the heathen, who in chapter 36 questioned His ability to defend his people, that He is among his people Israel in spirit . Not that He is present, viewable as Jesus in that verse, when Jesus returns to stand on the Mt of Olives, at Armageddon. Armageddon is in verses 17-20. And Jesus's Second Coming is in verses 21-29. As the whole world, the tribes of the earth, will see Jesus coming in power and great glory in Matthew 24:30b.
  17. Hi Marilyn, Those nations don't have the military might to be the kingdom of the beast-king. They will not be able to impose their will on the rest of the world.
  18. No, Ezekiel 39:7 is not Jesus physically present in Israel, nor that the Jews at that time will know that Jesus is the LORD their God. Not profaning God's name anymore goes back to Ezekiel 36:15-36, when the Jews were first taken captives into the nations, because of the idols in the land of Israel. That their enemies were able to do it, it made it look like the God of Israel was unable to defend them. When Gog/Magog takes place, that notion that the God of Israel is incapable to defend them will be demonstrably proven wrong. Also, among the nations that God destroys their armies, it will show that the God of Israel is not Allah of Islam. Ezekiel 36: 18 Wherefore I poured my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols wherewith they had polluted it: 19 And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them. 20 And when they entered unto the heathen, whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, These are the people of the LORD, and are gone forth out of his land. Verse 20 is the heathen saying that the Jews were the people of the God of Israel, and yet they are gone out of the land. Making it look like the God of Israel was incapable of defending them from their enemies. 23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. 24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. Taking the Jews out from the nations has happened (not complete yet of course) and back into the land of Israel. When Gog/Magog takes place, God will sanctify His holy name by showing he is fully capable of defending his people. In both the eyes of the heathen and the eyes of His on people.
  19. Satan was behind the founding of Islam. "all that were that were slain upon the earth" goes back to the start and Abel being slain.
  20. Revelation 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. 24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth. Isalm does not fit. Mystery Babylon the Great is the mystical kingdom of Satan and his angels.
  21. Revelation 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
  22. You reject logic. Since the ten kings rule with mortally wounded, but healed head - the beast-king... the ten horns are on the head of the beast-king.
  23. Only one is yet to come.
  24. You have not also said where are the ten horns on the beast ?
  25. You have not said who are the five fallen kings ? Who is the "one is" king ? Who is the "yet to come" king ? Of Revelation 17:10. Nor have you identified the place of the seven mountains where the woman sits in Revelation 17:9 which those 7 kings are associated with ? The entire chapter of Revelation 17 is tied to Rome, not just one verse. -------------------------- You wrote the place where the woman sits is Jerusalem - so what 7 kings are related to Jerusalem ?
