  1. Tell you what, we've had so many arguments about which English version is the best, I'd like to know which if these translations are as good as the one you read ...

  2. Butero, i do not read the quote you provided as attacking you, only the position that KJV is the only version a person should use.

Many are suggesting using paralled translations, and most commonly to include KJV. Now if you can provide details on how I may be led astray by using NIV, or any other version, I am listening. I think after reading this thread several times now, I am further strengthened in my desire to search out parallel translations and whereas if a church I attended ever told me that they were the only way, that other denominations were wrong, I may still believe they can preach the Word of God, but I would not attend such a church. So I also believe you have the Word of God in your KJV bible, but please don't exclude the rest of us who are your brothers, we seek to follow the same Christ, lets seek Him in love for each other, I apologize to any who have been offended, lets wipe the terms used clean from our minds, convince me if you will on strictly the merits the KJV, or any other version, and let us not take the criticizms of any version to heart.

I have found this thread extremely interesting, and appreciate the strong convictions expressed here, may we all have such fervent spirit in seeking God's word, and may we do it with open minds and loving hearts.

    God bless

  3. Thanks joi, i did stop last week in a book store, and looked at chronological but only briefly. I am leaning towards KJV or NKJV, i have tried e-sword, need more practice using it. Now i got blue letter online, but prefer a hard copy book. The Blue letter online looks great to use, i will have to put some time into it.

  4. I did, and have noticed widespread lack of love in many threads, but to claim only one is right, all else is wrong, in your face kind of attitude, is hard for me. Father in law is JW, and tells all the time nobody is saved unless they join the JW, and I simply cannot believe that either, i don't read that kind of attitude from Jesus in the bible, seek and you will find, that i believe, as it is printed in the bible i currently read, maybe KJV is better, i admit i do not know, as I am reading this thread looking for insight into purchasing a new bible.

    God bless,

    :P

  5. Which brings up a question i have had, how do we arrive the how many angels there are? (millions, it was referred as)

There are billions of angels, and many different kinds of ministering spirits. As every person has several who are ministering spirits, whether active or idle, depending on the life of that person, and God's plan for each, and since the beginning of time there have been billions of humans, there are multiple billions of angels.

Ok, i have nothing to dispute, only asking how this has been arrived at? Is there some Scripture i have not recalled?

  6. I will agree with you, you are enduring some strange times. I encourage you to continue to devote time to furthuring your relationship with our Lord, for our hope is not in this world. I, too, am enduring some strange times, its coming up on two years since my wife decided to leave me, and i still don't understand the reasons. So let us look to our Lord to guide us, and seek His will, to forgive, to endure, to love, and to teach us and help us work these things out in ourselves.

    Isaiah 41:10

    Prayers, brother

  7. hello! Well, my first impression, is if they already have a revolving door, they have probably heard what is wrong already and do not want to listen. I say this because at my job, many people have left, and i have been present when the problems are brought up, and management do not want to hear it, so we keep losing people. The sad part is, management is always complaining they can't find people to hire for the field in which i work. So the rest of us get pressured into working longer and longer days. And now this year, we are being sent 300 miles away from home, for up to a month at a time, to help out branch stores that can't keep people hired too. Feeling burned out, I am grateful to have a good job, but burned out from all the pressure. I believe if they ask, to be honest, but otherwise if they do not care to be told, i think leaving on as positive a note as possible is best. Just my 2 pennies, God bless.
