Christ's kingdom will never be physically on this earth
Montana Marv replied to Luther's topic in Eschatology
This is not supported by Zech. Look, elements shall melt with fervent heat, and the earth also is burned up. Their spoil is divided in their midst, was not destroyed, when the earth burned up. Appears to be the Battle of Armageddon. The birds of the air eat the flesh of men and horses. What gives??? Two separate time frames; 2 Peter 3:10 is the occurrence of the new heaven and a new earth being processed. Yet, Zech 14 in no way matches 2 peter 3:10, because survivors which attacked Jerusalem (those whose flesh was not consumed) had to go up year after year for the Feast of Tabernacles. If they did not go to the Feast of Tabernacles, their punishment was no rain. There is no punishment in the New Heaven and the New Earth. I stand by my Scriptural stance. In Christ Montana Marv -

Compare: Zech 14:8 - On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half to the eastern sea and half to the western sea, in summer and it winter. Rev 21:1 - Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. In Christ Montana Marv -

Scripture does not confirm what you say; Ezk 43:7 - Son of man, this is the place for the soles of my feet, This is where I will live among the Israelites forever. Ezk 36:33- This is what the Sovereign Lord says; On that day I cleanse you from all your sins, I will resettle your towns, and the ruins will be rebuilt. Zech 13:1 - On that day a fountain will be opened to the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and impurity. Ezk 37:12 -This is what the Sovereign Lord says; O my people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them, I will bring you back to the land of Israel. v. 18 - I am gong to take the stick of Joseph, which is in Ephraim's hand and of the Israelites tribes associated with him, and join it to Judah's stick, making them a single stick of wood. v.23 - I will save them from all their sinful backsliding, and I will cleanse them. They will be my people and I will be their God. v.24 - My servant David will be the king over them and they will all have one shepherd. Isn't it a bit odd that these chapters lie before Ezk 38 -44, the Millennial Temple Ezk 37 was the rebirth of Israel in May of 1948. Now only one stick exists; One nation united. Israel's sin has yet to be forgiven, but it will be 'In that Day' During Zerubabbel's time, Israel was in sin, today Israel is in sin, at the Second Coming Israel's sin is removed. The "antichrist" is also an individual, a person, a living being, a person demanding worship. Rev 16:13 - Then I saw three evil spirits, that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet... to gather them for the battle on that great day of God Almighty - Armageddon. Rev 19:19,20 - Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and his army. But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had preformed the miraculous signs on his behalf...... The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. Following Armageddon: Zech 14:16 - Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord God Almighty, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. When the 1000 years are over: Rev 20:7-9 - When the 1000 years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand of the seashore. They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God's people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. Following Armageddon there are survivors after the attack. Following the 1000 years, no survivors after the attack. Pre and into the 70th Week: Then we can look at Ezk 38:22 - I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur on him and on his troops and on many nations with him. Ezk 39:12,13 - For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them in order to cleanse the land, All the people of the land will bury them. v15 - in the Valley of Hamon Gog. Ezk 39:9 - Then those who live in the towns of Israel will go out and use the weapons for fuel and burn them up; the small and large shields, the bows and arrows, the war clubs and spears. For seven years they will use them for fuel. Three different wars, three different outcomes In Christ Montana Marv -

We still have the sun and moon today; for the Just and the Unjust. During the Mill; the same Just and Unjust; yet Jesus Christ the King of Kings and Lord of Lords is the light. Zech 14:6,7 - On that day there will be no light, no cold or frost. It will be a unique day, without daytime or nighttime; a day known to the Lord. In Christ Montana Marv -

If Christ's Kingdom will never be on earth physically, then who's kingdom is this; Isa 2; bits and pieces; V.3 - Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths. Worship and instruction involved v. 4 - He will judge between nations and settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plow shears and their spears into pruning hooks. Tools of Labor involved to work the land. Isa 11:6 - The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and lion and yearling together, and a little child will lead them. A child animal herder. Peace on earth, or is this peace in heaven; Which is it? Who is in Control? In Christ Montana Marv -

Do you not know that the Foreknowledge of God had already known the Son, Jesus Christ the Lamb of God, was to be slain. The term is correct; "The Lamb of God was slain before the foundations of the world." In Christ Montana Marv -

How you doing. I took about an 18 month or more sabbatical from posting. Not much has changed on the forums. Most everyone's view is still intact. But my position is; when will the last person (Jew or Gentile) be invited into the Church or Bride before it is complete. Only God the Father knows, for He draws individuals to His Son. In the past all had a chance, one group to be an OT saint, then only those of Israel had a chance to be an OT saint; now both Jew and Gentile have a chance to be part of the Bride, not inclusive of those before the Resurrection. Once this (age of Grace/Holy Spirit filled) window closes, the spot light goes back all who remain on earth to be Justified or not. I'm watching the Hamas in Gaza; if they are rooted out, then there can be a transformation to the environment described in Ezk 38:7-11. A country without walls and gates, they live in safety, no enemy within. In Christ Montana Marv As I remember you and dougg are a tad older than I am. -

That may be so because there is no time with the Godhead. The outcome is already determined. Yet the circumstances of Prophecies are still to be unfolded as we see them. Rev 1:3 - Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take it to heart what is written in it, because the time is near. (almost 1930 plus years to us) Even though everything is in Christ Jesus, and all things have been determined by Him; We do not know how it all plays out. How many views on when the Rapture happens, many, who is correct, only one view can be correct, so all other views are incorrect. Volumes of books have been written, yet no one knows. Yet, blessed is the one who reads this prophecy, ongoing, for those new to reading this. On and on. Blessings are still out there for those who have not read this prophecy yet. Now it is the unfolding of the Seal, Trumpet and Bowl Judgments that man has to look forward to. Plus other things. 2 Cor 2:21 - Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. When does the fullness of the Gentiles take place? Only God the Father knows, not Jesus Christ nor the angels. Why, because it is God the Father who draws man to His Son, Jesus Christ. The Father does does all the pre-salvation work. He knows when the Bride is complete, for He bestows the Holy Spirit on us as a seal. Son, go fetch your Bride, she is now ready. The Rapture, only the Father knows. Not in Scripture, for Jesus Christ is Scripture/the Word made flesh. In Christ Montana Marv -

As I said before; The Abrahamic Covenant is three fold. 1. A People, the 12 Tribes from Jacob/Israel. Children are still being born under this promise. Yes today. This has not been fulfilled by Christ. Ongoing. 2. A Land, west of the Jordan River, still there. Most is now occupied by the 12 Tribes. Only one problem; the enemy still lurks in their land. Hamas still in Gaza. See what is happening, Hamas and the Palestinian's are being rooted out of the Land. Why? To fulfill Ezk 38:11 - You will say, I will invade a land of unwalled villages, I will attack peaceful and unsuspecting people, all of them living without walls and without gates and bars. No enemy within, no walls or gates needed. Not fulfilled by Christ. 3. A Blessing, which is Jesus Christ the Messiah. In Christ Montana Marv -

You never take into account vs. 16-19 The nations must observe the Feast of Tabernacles; and if they do not, they will have no rain as punishment. No rain means no crops, they become beggars to other nations which follow the instructions of the Feast of Tabernacles. And this goes on for 1000 years. Isa 19:23-25 - In that day, there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria. The Assyrians will go to Egypt and the Egyptians to Assyria. The Assyrians and Egyptians will worship together. In that day Israel will be the third, along with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing on earth. The Lord God Almighty will bless them saying; "Blessed be Egypt, my People, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my Inheritance". If one looks closely; the Lord God Almighty says; "Israel is His Inheritance". Not the other way around. Why?; go back to the Covenant to Abraham, a blessing is promised, Jesus Christ, whom is tied to/part of this Covenant. Three nations, all closely tied to the Lord God Almighty. And all during Zech 14, the 1000 year reign of Christ here on earth as Prophesied. In Christ Montana Marv -

If God does not honor all His Covenants with man, He/God then is made out to be a liar. Which He is Not. His Promise/Covenant to Abraham is 3 fold. 1. A people, the 12 tribes from Jacob. 2. A Land for his people, the land across the Jordan River. 3. A Blessing which is Jesus Christ. Numbers 1 and 2 are still unfolding, and yet to be fulfilled. Daniel 9:24 is the prophetic time clock for the salvation of Israel. In Christ Montana Marv -

Acts 1:11 - Men of Galilee; they said. Why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven. He went up into heaven from the Mt. of Olives, and later returns to the Mt. of Olives in the same way He went up into heaven. Yes, Jesus Christ warned us of those false claims He will not return to this earth. In Christ Montana Marv -

How then can Christ the Messiah dwell in the Temple and have the soles of his feet walk on the Temple Mount and enter through the gate facing East when he was not yet conceived by the Holy Ghost. Do Not Be Deceived by saying this is Zerubbable's temple. This is yet a future Temple to be built by Israel; once the ashes of the Red Heifer have been spread in the Temple to cleanse it. This same Temple where the A/D will be set up where it should not be (Matt 24 : 15) This same Temple is where Christ the King will sit of King David's Throne and rule from. In Christ Montana Marv -

Tunnel vision will get one no where. God honors all Covenants which he makes with man. Old Covenant, New Covenant The Abrahamic Covenant; A People (Israel), A Land (the Promise Land or Israel), and a blessing which is Jesus Christ. Ezk 43:7 - He said, son of man, this is the place of my throne, and the place for the soles of my feet, This is where I will live among the Israelite's forever. Millennial Kingdom. Daniel 12 : 11 - 13 ........ As for you (Daniel), go your way till the end, you will rest, then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance. Which is his part of the Abrahamic Covenant, the Land. Zech 14 --- On that day his feet will stand on the Mt of Olives; On that day there will be no light, cold or frost; On that day living water will out from Jerusalem; The Lord will be King over the whole earth, On that day there will be one Lord, and his name the only name; The survivors from all the nations which attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year, to worship the King, the Lord God Almighty, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. In Christ Montana Marv -
Not much has changed in the past 18 months or more. First of all 1 Thes 5:9 implies only one thing; Receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, or experience Wrath, which is the Second Death. Nothing to do with the wrath occurring during the 70 Week. This verse was as valid when written as it is today. Rev 20:15 - If anyone's name was not found written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the Lake of Fire, the Second Death of v 14. This verse in 1 Thes does not support a Pre-Trib position or any other position relating to the 70th Week. It is a non issue. The Wrath of the latter half of the 70th Week, is no different than the Wrath that Sodom and Gomorrah experienced. A time of people experiencing very bad things from God. In Christ Montana Marv

You are wrong, they do speak of Israel : Seventy Sevens are decreed for your people (Israel) and your holy city (Jerusalem) TO: the six. Two not one. (people and city) Zech 13:1 - On that day a fountain will be opened to the house of David, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and impurity. Yes, but when does Israel benefit? Zech 13:4 - On that Day every prophet will be ashamed of his prophetic vision. (one of the six) No; Scripture says the Anointed One is cut off after the 62 - Sevens. No mention of a ministry. Cut off, dies. Scripture does not support what you imply. No midst of the week is there. His death separates the 69th Week from the 70th Week. What corruption is there. Did the Holy Spirit get something wrong. Scripture does not imply that. "He will confirm a covenant with many for One Week"; Christ did no such thing at his Baptism. None of the 4 Gospels support this claim of yours. You do not follow sequence. The prince to come (Titus) destroyed the city and sanctuary in 70 A.D. Then at some later date v. 27 comes in to play. There is a break when the Anointed One is cut off. Titus destroys the city, then another in the future confirms an older covenant (establishes Temple sacrifices and offerings). Not supported by Scripture. But In Matt 24:15 ; Jesus tells those in Judea to flee to the mountains when they see the A/D spoken of in Daniel, then there will be distress unequaled, a warning to nursing mothers. Immediately afterward, not over a 2000 year period. No; He (the Cross) is the redemption of mankind, it is the Worthy Christ bearing the sins of the world.. (not an abomination)... Our being Crucified with Christ is not an abomination. You are dead wrong. Do I need to go any further In Christ Montana Marv -

Israel still sins, transgresses, does not have everlasting righteousness, they have achieved none of the six. BTW Scripture says the Anointed One has nothing is Cut off, dies after the 69th Week. No mention of the 70th Week until v27, well after Christ's death. The sequence of v27 can then be applied correctly. Now this gives plenty of time for the 70th Week. And a midpoint when the A/D comes forth. A time for those of Judea to flee. A time for the S. T. B judgments to come forth. And then Armageddon followed by the 2nd Coming. In Christ Montana Marv -
