Equating health and properity to faith is a doctrine of the pharisees. Equating lack of health and prosperity to lack of faith is equally a doctrine of the pharisees. I agree with that. It seems we have developed, in the west, the mindset that because we have faith, we should automatically receive. We need to be careful when it comes to how we relate one's faith to one's well-being. There are many who are faithful in their devotion to God who live in poverty, though they did not seek it--yet they are still faithful despite it. There are many who are faith who are wealthy, though they did not seek it--yet they too are still faithful (though it seems most who become wealthy become less faithful ). Likewise, there are those who are faithless, or who are literally evil and corrupt, who live in wealth and health despite their life styles, and it seems unfair that they have such things. Yet there are others who are exactly the same way, yet who are in poverty. The rain falls both on the wicked and the righteous, just as disaster can come to both. If anything stands as good Biblical advice right now, I think it would be this: Read Matthew 6:25-34... do not worry... seek God first, and everything that you need (not want, but need) will be provided to you. Youll notice i said ALOT of the time... not all of the time. I know this from personal experience. I just couldnt grasp God's healing power. I couldnt believe that it was for today. People prayed for my healing, and id be sort of hoping, maybe... no. Then God showed me truth and i believed and was healed. My faith healed me. Just like Jesus said to the woman with the blood issue, it was her faith in his ability to heal that healed her. So i say again. ALOT of the time, its a faith issue, that is not a "pharisee statement".

If you glorify God in everything you do, and include God in all your goals, theres nothing wrong with having a prosperous life (in all areas the best they can be, spirituality, love, money, ect). Prayer is powerful, and as long as you keep yourself in line with God's will and God's word, your prayers will be answered. With faith of course. All through God's word He talks about the promises He has for the Righteous, His people... somewhere it says He finds great joy in his servants prosperity! God wants to bless us so that we can enjoy this life, and most importantly, so that we can bless others... emotionally, financially, to help the poor. The more we have, (in spiritual means, financially, emotionally, everything.) the more we can give! The reason some are prosperous and some are not? I think its a case of Faith alot of the time. You cant have what you dont believe in! Also, some dont even know that this is Gods will! They have no idea! they think to be poor is to be Holy or something.... im sure there are other reasons... im just glad i know what God has for me in our covenant together... what a father!!!!

Hey there! You have got great advice from those other posts! How blessed we are to have worthyboards! Christianity isnt a sunny picnic all the time... but it should be most of the time! You should always have Joy inside of you. Happiness is passing, but Joy, the Joy from the Lord, is always there, no matter what your going through. You know what? So many Christians go thru the notions. Do the right things and truly love God, but have no idea what the promises God has for them in His word! Hes not just the "big boss upstairs" But our Abba, Father. Our intimate father, our daddy. He is not an absentee father, as they put it, and you are in covenant with Him, therefore you have inherited EVERYTHING in the bible he has said is for the righteous. We are the righteousness of God. (righteoussness is different to Holiness. Holiness is your manner, righteous is what God has made you when you accepted Jesus.) So go through your bible and find all the promises for the righteous, and go through proverbs... really, i guess what im saying is .... Get into that bible! Get stuck into it like never b4! It is the only way to know God the way that you seem to need to right now. have fun!

Hi! if you want peace, ask for that too! There has to be a reason your life seems to always be a dry struggle, God will not punish you. Judgement day is reserved for that. If your out of line with God's word than it gives the devil entry and authority to do all sorts of yucky things in your life... including placing thoughts into your head such as "God's punishing me". If youve been in a dry spell for a very very long time than you need to pray to get to the bottom of it. there has to be something keeping you from the peace God promises. Could it be lack of faith? A certain sin you havent stopped doing? lack of walking in love towards others? have you given up? i dont know your circumstances but there has to be something... God bless you friend, Bluebird XoXo

God will tell you when its time. If its something you truly desire, i believe you will have it. How long is a long time? My partner prayed for 10 years and here we are, engaged. My friends mum prayed for 30 years, and got married after 30 years of praying for a life partner, but enjoying the journey also. Shes so happily married and so glad she didnt question God's timing. the says she was on the brink of making assumptions, of giving up at times, but never did, and now understands why she had to wait so so long. It was worth ot.. whatta match they are!!! Keep on praying friend!

i havent been through it myself, or helped anyone who has, so i cant tell you exactly how you should fix it, but id like to make suggestions... try listening to faith preachers. ones that really stirr up the spirit within you. like Creflo Dollar, or Kenneth Copeland. Also, seek God for a reverence for Him. It seems youve lost your Fear of the Lord. Your reverence. Pray for it and repent. look deep in your spirit and go to the word of God. Try to find all that you feel you have lost. One thing i know is that God is waiting for you. Looking at you saying "i miss you, why dont you want to be with me?" He will be waiting for you. It shouldnt be freeing to be away from God, it should be the opposite. You need to truly seek God, to find his truth. His liberating, wholesome, wonderful truth. Jesus loves you so dearly my friend. Go back home to Him!

Hey there! Anything you ask in His name, it shall be given. But its activated by FAITH, you must believe that you have recieved it when praying for it, and thank him for it until it comes to pass. If it doesnt, then your prayers werent in line with God's word, or God's perfect will. He knows whats best for you, and He does want to give you the desires of your heart, but you must believe with all that is in you... which can be harder when youve had a dry time. A great way to get back into it is to find scriptures in the bible that show you promises of answered prayer, and heard prayer. to start you off... HEBREWS 11:6 PSALM 27:14 MATT 7:7-8 ROM 8:26 JOHN 15:7 Keep going... renew your mind to the true character of our God, the Lord who answers prayer and loves you and wants you to be joyful and to know him, a God who would never say "NO" without a perfect reason.

Well, it could be a warning... or it could be satan trying to keep you away from God's will. The only way to find out is to seek God about it. I learned from this great series i listened to about dream interperetation by a teacher in Christ, John Paul Jackson, that if your dream leaves you confused, fearful, summons a negative mindset to take place, and the like, and you seek God that day and feel no different, its of satan. God will never leave you confused and fearful. His dreams are precise and clear, and are either pleasant or warnings. Not leaving fear, but wisdom for the future or knowlege. satans tools are fear, negativity, confusion. God will not place these in your mind. How does your Spirit feel about this dream? Seek God

I don't think they are saying she had a demon. Death had taken her and he prayed and commanded it to let her go. Yes, but you see the basic problem with this is that it is God who has the power over life and death, not death itself. No one has the power to command death to release any one unless God wills it. To say that he (Wigglesworth) commanded death to let her go is simply not right. Even Jesus, when He raised Lazarus, when He raised the son of the widow of Nain, when He raised the daughter of Jairus, did not rebuke any 'spirit of death'. Furthermore, (at the risk of being redundant) "death as the final enemy to be overcome" speaks of our hope in the resurrection, where our physical bodies will be finally and permanently raised in glory and reunited with our spirits to dwell eternally with the Lord Jesus. And this is all I will say about it. Well, if he wasnt commanding it in Jesus name, it wouldnt have worked anyway... ACTS 19:13 - Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying,

well, im not sure. the bible says (in better words hehe) that to the unsaved (people) the Word is foolishness to them... but if they believe its different. Animals wouldnt be the same because theyve never heard of Jesus... maybe they are judged by the law just like people who never hear of Jesus in there lives. But from the sound of your post, the spirit in which the giving is done is this.... Oh, I forgot my purse, I'll just give my tithe on the credit card! (where is the preparation of and thought put into giving? Is it not worship?) And I'll get frequent flyer points, too! (Worship isn't about that at all. This is thinking about yourself and not the Lord in your giving.) Making one withdrawal each week is inconvenient. (One withdrawal a week is too inconvenient to worship the Lord???) You said above that it's about the heart and how you're giving in your heart. From what you described, I don't see any heart in it. Convenience (to you) and reward (to you). Tithes and offerings are not about "as long as you're giving". Like it was said, it's about worship and coming prepared. In the Bible, people didn't run to church and remember, "Oh, I forgot my offerings!" They planned it out in advance. They picked the finest and best of what they had to give. Thought and preparation went into it. The type of giving you described is not anyone's "best." Listen mate, dont jump to conclusions. i said, people put there pay on there credit cards for frequent flyer points, this is to point out, all because your paying off a credit card, doesnt mean your tithing off of un earned money, because your pay is in there. The reason people put there money on there is for points. NOT FOR TITHING POINTS that is ridiculous. Tithing, if it is a regular thing like it should be, will always be planned because you need ten percent deliberately put in there.... but theres this thing called....hmm...LIFE! You could have worked out your finances the night before, put your purse on the bench where you wont forget it, then you make dinner, pray, talk with your husband/wife, work on the ladies/mens meeting for that sunday night, finding the last scriptures to put together and stuff like that, in the morning you get your children ready for church, enjoy some early worship, make brekkie for the whole family, make sure your kids remember there bibles and a jumper and a pen and a notebook and a drinkbottle and if you have a really young one, all the stuff like bottles. Whoops, nearly forgot my own bible! lucky i remembered, phew, and my notebook, oh darling, do you have yours too? What about the food for childrens church?? got that? oh good. Get to church, and you left your purse on the bench. Well there you have it. Easily done. it was prepared. And was going to be given with the right heart, but oh dear, were human and we actually forget something, thank goodness i have my card with me and i can still give to the Lord, how wonderful!!! You, my friend, seem to be very negative. Maybe you need to pray about it or something. Try and see the good in things. People get busy. and tithing isnt the only thing they do. Its very important. but so is the stuff they need to bring for kids church, and morning devotionals, and making sure little sally doesnt forget her bible. Sometimes we forget things and that has NOTHING to do with our heart about it. You have no place judging peoples hearts like that, thats God's job. You just love them and let them pay there tithes however they want to. its none of your business what works for them in the way of tithing. as long as there doing it.

WOW i had no idea any of it was "occultist" or anything like that, you learn something new everyday. I personally dont mind classical music and have a few cds ill chuck on time to time with no conviction whatsoever. The Holy Spirit helped me filter out my cd collection, and the classical ones are still there so id say there okay.

i think its fine. what if someone forgets there purse and they have there mini visa? (australia has these real little ones we u can keep in your pocket, there so small u can take em anywhere! yay!) Some people get there pay put directly onto there credit card to earn frequent flyer points, so not having to make one withdrawl each week i guess could be convenient. As far as i see it, it doesnt matter how a tithe is payed in a sense of cash, credit or whatever else you can come up with, its about the heart, and how your giving in your heart. As long as your giving.

my name is Bluebird because blue and birds, are symolic in the bible or peace and revalation... i like that. I also had a dream with a little wiily wagtail bird in it and it brought me such precious revalation and my name reminds me of this. the number 1 is because when i registered it wouldnt let me be just bluebird by itself. Im thinking of changing it... not sure yet.

pray for her! Be nice to her. If shes said thats how she looks, and others have said she has issues, shes obviously not going to chat with you about her problems, so dont get involved, but pray about it, and always be kind to her. If she needs help with anything, offer. Youll soon find out wether it really is you, or her problems. Just keep praying for her and love her like Jesus does.

Pray pray pray, read the word.... a good way to see if your in the will of God, and not your own preferences, is to see if your reasons for wanting to move/stay are wise and in line with the word of God. All i can say is pray, read, pray, read. It's what i do when i have a big decision to make, and boy does it never fail. Seek God and judge your own motives as well as asking the Holy Spirit to show you. God Bless

Theres a difference between idolising a pet and LOVING a pet, since, as i showed you, they do have spirits, and were entitled to love them. But dont ever mock or disrespect animals. It is righteous to treat animals well, in God's eyes, and if its righteous to Him, i sure respect it. Proverbs 12:10 "A righteous man regards the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel." They are God's creation. There spirits return to him, and even if your not an animal lover, were to respect God's creation and take care of and love our pets. I guess I've got some explaining to do about all those bugs I've squashed. i dont know about that... i guess so!! it does say HIS animal, so i reckon that means your pets or livestock... heh
