I do not believe that we are called to tolerance but to love:
Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This the the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: "Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hand on these two commandments." Matthew 22:37-40
To me tolerance means that I MUST accept and tolerate all behavior, attitudes and actions. I do not. I do however love and respect (or try to) those whom I am in disagreement with...love the sinner not the sin.
