Imo, Just like Hitler forced Jews to wear the star of David, Christians will have a mark placed upon them by the "antichrist"/ or false prophet showing that they are an enemy of the state. When the false prophet and "antichrist" are deposed, and exposed as evil, the "seal" is a badge of honor. The "mark" is a sign of worshipping the antichrist, the "seal" is an emblem of being an enemy (of the antichrist.)

The "pre-tribulation rapture" is merely being gathered in the wilderness due to the fall of Mystery Babylon.
