  1. I agree. God bless. Gids
  2. He was already subdued, handcuffed from the back and loaded in the police car. He was taken out of the car to be subsequently murdered. Even if he was fighting back, there is no excuse. No taser was used. Just nine minutes of slowly being suffocated. Knee on the shoulder blade, this conversation would not even be happening. The officer knew the difference. There is no way this can be spun to justify it. blessings, Gids
  3. What you said may be true, but those police officers knew only that he had tried to pass a fake $20 bill. Knees to the neck for almost nine minutes is murder. There is no way to justify it, period. This is not about whether he was a good man or not. It is about the actions by rhe police. Any attempts to change the narrative is simply a smoke screen attempt to try to somehow justify their actions and to deny the depth of the wrongdoing that was perpetrated on an American citizen. Once we accept actions like this, the floodgates are open for big government to do it to any group deemed 'contrary to the good of the whole'. At some point, I hope we realize it will be our turn to be rounded up. blessings, Gids
  4. Trying to justify murder by stating a man is a "career criminal" implies he deserved it. From what I gathered, his crime was trying to pass a fake $20 bill. Another famous "I can't breathe" choking death was against a man selling loosies... single cigarettes.... on the street. No one is trying to justify criminal activity, but to even suggest what you are suggesting is a not so veiled attempt to somehow justify it, and I cannot buy it, nor should any of us. The problem is..... this is not happening to whites. If a group of black officers had taken down a white man and choked him to death, with video accompanying it, I wonder how many would be trying to minimize it by stating his crime caused him to get murdered. I suspect there would be a multitude of lynchings before the next morning. Let's not lose sight of the truth staring us in the face. As Lady Kay said.... nine minutes, a slow suffocating death deserved by no one, black or white. That is all that matters right now. blessings, Gids
  5. I think something occurred in the vehicle. I think there is far more to this that has not come out. The fact George and the police officer knew one another is a part of this that little light has been shed on.... yet. I hope the full truth comes out. I also hope a guilty verdict is rendered, for if it is not, there will be ten or twenty times the number who will be protesting, and I suspect the military will be used. A constitutional crisis will ensue. blessings, Gids
  6. You do realize of course he had already been handcuffed and placed in the back of the police vehicle. He was taken out of that security and suffocated to death. When a man is on his face, handcuffs behind his back, there is simply no excuse. None. To try to spin another narrative is simply wrong. blessings, Gids
  7. Hi my. brother. I asked because long ago, the pastor I had began to preach universal reconciliation, where even satan would be won over. It caused quite a stir and ended with him having to resign. Truthfully, in my heart, I would rejoice if God's grace was destined to even bring satan himself back in the fold, but it seems God has given us understanding only up to a certain point and we are to react based solely upon that understanding. Thanks for your reply. Be blessed, my friend Gideon
  8. Those words jumped out at me. Forgive me if I am misunderstanding you. Do you believe even those cast into the lake of fire, even including satan and the fallen angels, will ultimately be reconciled to God? Thanks in advance. Gideon
  9. What an excellent post, my dear friend. In my experience, I have found there is a definite need to arrive at a 'crisis point', where we actually embrace His death was our death as well, where we "put off" our old nature, and express with the words of our mouth that we..... the old us that so often ignores the way of escape when temptations come.... actually ARE dead. It is one thing to know doctrinally that we died with Christ. It is quite another to climb out of the boat of head knowledge and by faith, declare it our possession. ? This step is, I believe, the missing ingredient to our awakening to the HOW of walking on the highway of holiness, where we really are kept from falling into sin by the power of God through faith. You see, truth only profits when it is believed, and head knowledge is not enough. Our hearts must hunger after it to become a reality in our lives. Is it actually possible to resist satan, steadfast in the faith, and see him flee from us in defeat every time? Absolutely! Is this not what our God has promised us..... that our shields of faith will quench ALL the fiery arrows of the enemy? I am convinced that God is even now awakening His children to believe that we ARE new creatures, and to begin to yield ourselves to Him as those who are alive from the dead, not as those who are still trying to die to self (and never, of course, actually getting dead, lol). This truth is no small thing. In fact, when a man or woman becomes desperate enough to step out of the boat of self-effort in trying to 'die to self', and instead, believe themselves dead, right now, this very minute, it is then that God will solidify the stormy waters under their feet, and to their amazement, see that the sins that so easily beset them can actually be set aside rather than constantly battled against with many inevitable failures. And once we come to this blessed point of reckoning ourselves as dead, and not always dying, our energized faith will revolutionize our life with God and how we interact with the world around us. .And collectively, rhis 'faith reckoning' will revolutionize the church body itself, transforming us from simply 'going-through-the-motions' Christianity, to the radical overcoming church, as we combine the blood of the Lamb with...... are our ears open? ......the words of OUR testimony. Thank you for this, my still dear friend. ? blessings, Gids
  10. Absolutely! Last night, sitting down with my very bored 3 year old adopted great grandson, he begged me to watch Horton Hears A Hoo. When he puts his little hands together as if praying and looks in my eyes and in his sweetest voice asks hopefully "Please daddy?", I had no chance at all. So I say down to watch the classic Dr. Suess tale, expecting to be rhymed to death. Little did i know God would minister to me in a most unusual but powerful way. You remember the story. The elephant with ears that allowed him to hear for better than most, came across a small speck but this was no ordinary speck. It was a tiny microscopic planet where the Hoo lived in Hooville. Remember? Anyway, no one believed him and one, the kangaroo, withstood him and stirred up the others to ostracize him and want to destroy him, along with the speck Horton was determined to save, even if his friends did not believe he heard them or not. How did this minister to me in such a powerful way? Most of you who read my posts know the message I share, and pretty much do not believe I heard what I heard, or that it was not God at all, but an evil spirit. I have stood my ground, but not without wounds, lol. It is not much fun constantly having to defend oneself when people you truly want to help do not believe you. Yet what God planted in my heart continues to work in me and offers a path to actually walking in the free indeed Jesus promised us. In the end, just as the kangaroo was inciting a riot against Horton, ready to kill him if he would not deny what he heard, the Hoo make a mighty noise that all of Hortons friends can hear, and they finally believe him and release him from his ostracized state. But the most touching part was when, after his release, Horton passes by all his now celebratory friends and sees the ashamed and dejected Kangaroo, who had been proven wrong. Horton actually had been hearing. She had simply not been able to her what he was. Horton had a right to be angry, to get even, but instead let forgiveness restore their relationship. And regardless of how many will scoff at this post, or at what I continue to share, or at me personally, my heart remains FOR you. It started out that way, and it will remain that way. By that time, I was crying, amazed that God can even use Dr. Seuss as His tool for encouragement. Look, I know many of you think I am either a false teacher or just totally deceived and full of self. Yet, from the get go, my intent has not to bring fear, condemnation or discord into the lives of those who read my posts. Conviction? Yes. But simply because it is a broken heart, a hungry heart, a desperate heart that can hear what God is wanting us to hear. What I share is, I am convinced, the key to seeing the church awakened to actually live what she believes. Will there be continued resistance? LOL Well, yeah. I am not stupid. But as time passes, as God continues to work on us, I believe with all my heart that the awakening He had promised on these last days WILL occur. The discrepancy between what we say we believe and how we live and express it outwardly with be blown away like chaff, and His bride will not only be positionally holy, but in truth, without spot or wrinkle, so much so that even the lost in the world will see.... and those who love the light, but not so much religion, will be amazed and come to the light that will be shining forth out of us. This is the harvest that we are to witness and yes, to be a part of, and it will be mind blowingly glorious. Hoo promised this to us? LOL. The God who said that 'eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor even has entered into the heart of man, what God has prepared for them that love Him'. ? Blessings, Gids
  11. Is it really possible to walk with sin under our feet? Absolutely! But I think it needful to clarify what that looks like, for if there is misunderstanding here, progress will be halted until clarification is given. Here are a few clarifications as to what that means. 1) So does walking with sin under our feet as overcomers mean I am preaching "sinless perfectionism"? Absolutely not. Sinless perfection is talking about a 'state of being' one arrives at where there is no more possibility of sinning. Where all the fruits of. the spirit are in full bloom, with no possibility of seeing any more develop. And this, guys, is simply a lie. It is. not supported by scripture and certainly not supported by my own walk, lol, so it must not be true! ? When I speak of walking in victory over sin, I am speaking of us knowing an action is wrong, and choosing to do it anyway. Every single one of us has at least one area in our lives that is our 'weak spot'. Our Achilles Heel. Satan knows full well what that area is and this is where his attacks come. And when satan comes tempting, what do we do? Are we confidant to do battle with him? Do we smile, knowing he is about to be defeated, or do our palms begin to sweat? Are our hearts at peace or do we fear that once again, we will yield ourselves to the sin we hate? When I am talking walking in victory over sin, this is precisely what I am referring to. What has God told us He has given us to fight? Armor, a sword and a shield that He assures us WILL quench all the fiery arrows satan casts at us. As well, He knows how strong or weak we are in Him in our journey, and assures us He will not allow us to be tempted above our ability to resist. Heck, He even tells us in every temptation, He will provide a way of escape so that we do not fall! And yet, with all this provided..... more often than not, we still fall to its power. And even if we do resist, it is not exactly triumphing over them. Our fingernails are sore. LOL. So, what gives? If what God has promised and what we are experiencing are two different things, it is time to seek the answer as to the discrepancy, amen? When I speak of walking in victory over sin, I am speaking of God providing us the ability to "count it all joy" when satan attacks us. How is such a thing even remotely possible? Only if we know..... KNOW.... we will be brought through it without giving in, not by our resolve but by God Himself Being kept from falling is NOT sinless perfection, for that is done (well, not done actually, lol) as a culmination of man's effort. Being kept implies we are not the ones doing the keeping... God is. And as we step out to believe such an amazing thing is true, we discover our God IS the God who cannot lie. Glory! blessings, Gids Next: Misunderstanding #2- Temptation is not sin
  12. You love to keep insinuating that what I share is a gospel of works, for it fits well with your narrative. please do me a favor. Search my posts. Any of them. All of them. Show me any place where I said we must work to be saved or stay saved. I have stated it clearly, though it is clear that you want to twist it into something ugly, that if we are walking as we should, with our armor on, wielding our sword, the Word of God, and with our shields of faith held high, they will quench all the fiery arrows of the enemy, and as a result, God's character will come forth in the form of fruit and godly actions.... works. I want to ask you a question I would like a clear answer on. Do you think James and Paul were in conflict, or were they in agreement? What do you think James meant when he stated that fsith without works is dead? If you say they disagreed, then we have two apostles openly in conflict as to truth snd we will sll be forced to choose who we are of, Paul or James. And by Paul's own words, that tells us we are still carnal. Twisting the words of others to make yourself right is a sin, brother. Have I stated we are to obey the Word when it tells us to give all diligence, to give the more earnest heed, to present our bodies as living sactifices? Absolutely, but if you are trying to make these 'works' to try to straw man me to death, lol, it will fail. We NEED obedient hearts, and God has promised to supply them, where both spiritual fruits and godly actions.....works..... flow of us. Why in the world any would want to disagree, sow seeds of conflict by twisting words of others, and see God's people left struggling to keep their heads above water is unfathomable to me. blessings, Gids
  13. The only problem with your take on things is that this was stated clearly as a promise of the New Covenant, even though we find it in the old testament. If some want to cast away the promise of an obedient heart over the interpretation of a single word, I cannot stop them. But why?? Why would one not want such a relationship where God keeps us from falling and actually delivers us from evil? This promise from God is not taken out of context. It is exactly the same thing we are told God wants to do for us in the NewTestament, where, through faith, He works in us, as the master potter, both to will..... want to.... AND to do..... perform it..... of His good pleasure. Brother, in these last days, sheep are starving, struggling with sins that rule over them, and the modern church has simply told them it is all good, because we have grace, so don't sweat it! Yet still, sexual lusts, alcohol, addictive habits, worldliness, fear, loneliness, and anger hold sway over God's people. They are told forgiveness is the full extent of what God's grace offers them until heaven. But practically, what have they been given by our modern take on Christianity to fight off th attacks of the enemy? A nice pat on the back and an assurance God forgives them..... but with a clear understanding not to actually expect God to set them free from the behavior they detest. Thus, they are offered a half-grace that forgives but has no power to truly deliver them from the clutches of evil. Sadly, this grace does not teach them HOW to deny the attacks of the devil, or HOW to live soberly, righteously and justly in this present age, and now is when we need the help! In these last days, we are being shown by our God the weapons of our warfare, and how to use them to fight.... and WIN! Instead of His children being forgiven but overcome, we are going to see even the weakest of saints have their feet planted on the highway of holiness, and shown that God is an ever present help in time of need. That is NOW! ? What good is it to be delivered from the power of darkness if, when darkness approaches and we are tempted to yield to sin, we fall to it.... again? My dear brother, how in the world can any count it all joy when they fall into diverse temptations when they know another butt-kicking is coming? What good is it to have a God who makes a way of escape every single tome we are tempted, if disobedience from our fallen nature still lives inside us, and always seems to cause us to not take our God-provided escape? What good are shields of faith that God promises will quench the fiery arrows of the enemy, if saints are not taught that they can actually raise their shields, stand on the promises of God as new creatures, and see them will actually work? Despite the objections of some, nevertheless God is awakening and will continue to awaken His people as to who they are in Christ and what their birthright as children of God truly is. And brother, the promise of God indwelling His own, causing them to obey Him by taking their old carnal natures out of the equation, THAT is a HUGE one. In the coning days, His saints will no longer walk healed only slightly, for this brings our God no glory nor pleasure. Ahhh, but get a defeated saint to be transformed by the indwelling Spirit of God to stand fast in the faith, counting it all joy when he is tempted, resisting the devil and seeing his enemy FLEE from him? That is infectious Christianity, and just as it did in the early church, it will spread like wildfire to any who hunger and thirst to be transformed in overcomers, as they walk in victory over the world, the flesh and the devil. The final harvest is approaching, and we are being reminded that we in a war for the souls of men. We all have a choice. We can fight, and teach others to do so, or we can rest content without godliness, without manifested victory. It is our choice. Darkness approaches. We NEED obedient hearts. They are no longer optional. Will we dig in our heels and refuse or will we bend our knees and yield ourselves to our God to make us truy obedient servants? Let us not rest content with being told it is all fine in the Heavenly realm, while here on earth. we are being pummeled with defeat every time temptation strikes. God has more for us. In Ezekiel 36 after God gives us this amazing promise, the promise of obedient hearts, He says this: "I shall yet for this be inquired of by the House of Israel to do it for them. I shall increase them with men like a flock." Ezekiel 36:37 Will we ask Him to do it for us? Oh, I pray so. blessings, Behold Gideon
  14. So we can get all the other promises of the New Covenant but that particular one is only for Israel? Look. If that is your take, I accept it for you and will not try to persuade you otherwise. However after 13 years of seeing how true this amazing promise of God is, I believe it may be too late for me. Remember, even the dogs of the gentiles get to eat the scraps of food meant for the Jews that fall off the table, amen? And God was pleased with the audacity of her faith. ? blessings to you, Gideon
  15. I know you are busy, brother and I appreciate the attention you can give. i would like to state, however, that it seems a bit unfair to move the post so the audience size is limited at best, especially if the issue is not the post. A small but vocal and aggressive group of posters have major issues with anything I post, and instead of simply avoiding my posts, they pack my posts as a group with belittling remarks and accusations of heresy, and try to turn to attacking me personally. I can take it, and as long as they keep to forum rules of etiquette, I have no objections to thrm voicing their their opinions, but by movibg my posts if enough of them complain, this gives them indirect control over what I share, which I do not see as right. Just my two cents, lol. Be led of the Lord. blessings to you, George Gideon
  16. Good afternoon, guys. As some of you may have noticed, my recent post on the promise of God causing us to walk as obedient children has ended up being deleted. Not locked. Deleted. (I have since been informed that if three posters report a post, it is "hidden" until it can be reviewed. A good policy if it is not misused) . I have written George and asked him to please look into it. My hope is that he will actually read what I share and see if deletion is warranted. I am not sure how it happened, but George was unaware of the situation. He said he would review it tomorrow and restore the deleted posts if he felt it was an overreaction. We shall see what happens, but if you were enjoying what was being shared, please pray. As well, a quick note to George asking him to lift the deletion would be much appreciated. What I find interesting is the fact that despite the fact a tight knot group of posters truly hate the take I present on the warnings and the potential for loss of some sort for a Christian, it was another post, one not even mentioning the OSAS disagreement, a post on the promise of an obedient heart, that stirred up certain posters to such radical action as actual censorship. In all the posts I have made recently on my disagreement with their take on OSAS,. they never had any of those post deleted, posts which they have openly labeled as heresy. I closed several myself after it was clear that the positions of both sides had been adequately stated. But this last post, concerning a promise we have all been pretty much blinded to, the promise where, under the new covenant, obedience would be brought about.... 'caused' if you will..... by God when we come into full agreement with Him as to who we now are.... new creatures, this was the post they saw fit to get deleted. I find that both interesting and possibly tellimg. Why that particular post? Simply because satan knows that it is this truth of clothing ourselves with our new natures, where even weak men can, by faith, walk free indeed, that is a great danger to his kingdom. It is, in my opinion and I believe the Lord's, that receiving this promise is the key to awakening the sleeping bride. And an awakened bride, walking in the free indeed Jesus clearly promised, is a dangerous thing for the kingdom of darkness. VERY dangerous. Satan could care less whether saints bicker over OSAS. At the end of the day, nothing changes, does it? No one walks closer to God. No one overcomes where he did not before. The truth is, satan loves the discord, the anger, the lack of Christian fruits, the accusations tossed at those who do not agree with them, even when they share strong scriptures in support of their views. . Why? It continues to testify to the world of the carnality of our modern day take on the gospel. Unfortunately, our actions speak louder than our words... way louder, and as a result, God's name is dishonored. The truth of our new natures, and our actually 'putting them on by faith', yielding ourselves to God as those who are alive from the dead, is understood fully by our enemy as a HUGE threat to his kingdom of darkness. For the church to be kept from walking as overcomers, our enemy knows that he must prevent us from putting on the whole armor of God, wielding the sword of the Word, and with our shields of faith raised high. . That is ultimately why the resistance is so great here, and why I believe my last post was deleted. I pray it is reopened. I know that many do not agree with my take on loss of salvation as a possibility for a believer. Don't worry, I still love you guys, lol. And I agree, there are many verses that seem to say this very thing. But it would take a very closed mind to not at least admit there are some very troubling scriptures that seem to back up what I am sharing, and simply declare any beliefs that disagree with theirs as heresy. I think, despite my disagreement, as I search my heart, I have neither attacked posters in an unkind manner, nor said the OSAS belief is heretical. And truth be told, I actually hope OSAS is true. Surprised? LOL? I can at least admit that it can be a possibility. I do not want to see any miss walking with the Lord for eternity. But to portray any who may disagree with their take as a heretic, which several posters have alluded to, is not love at all. It is religious mean- spiritedness hiding under the cloak of being valiant for the truth. It hurts me to have to say that, but it is the truth. I bear no animosity towards posters who have gone overboard in attacking not just what I share but me personally. I mean that. God has called us to peace, and to love our enemies, amen? I hope in the future we can walk in disagreement agreeably. Look, I can see the scriptures OSAS uses to support their beliefs, but as of yet, no one has explained to me the wording of some of the warnings that seem to say the opposite. It may come as a shock to some, but there are many in the church who do not agree with the OSAS understanding. However, I want you all to know I am open to corrections in my thinking here, if God convinces me otherwise. Aren't you proud of me? LOL. But this brings up a real question. Why do I seem to come against it so diligently in several of my posts? I pray you hear me. It is not the belief that our salvation is 'unloseable' that is my real issue. There are other issues that I see that "come with the territory' that I see as problems . 1) It is because one of the 'fruits' I see that the teaching of OSAS brings forth is a huge contentment with 'status quo' Christianity, a belief that because of grace, 'we have need of nothing' Sin is seen as an 'unavoidable inconvenience' because, after all, 'we are only human'. The teaching, in my observations, at best, seems to keep saints on milk and unable tp proceed to meat. Hardcore proponents of OSAS almost always seem to end up content with forgiveness and with little desire to be see sin overcome in their lives, nor to follow after holiness, without which no one shall see the Lord. Thus, it allows hearts to be hardened to God's Spirit within them, and the result? Our faith is weakened. And the cost? It is either loss of salvation or a ticket to Heaven with nothing to show for God's amazing gift of His Son.... but even if it is the latter, this is no small thing. There IS a cost, and over thirty warnings are given to us for some reason to not be deceived. 2) Another negative result of current OSAS teaching is that all effort on our part to seek a deeper walk with the Lord is often seen to be "working for our salvation" and warned against. Satan must love that one. LOL. Despite the entire New Testament teaching us that they who DO those things will never fall, that we are His friends if we DO those things He commandments, despite God's exhortations to 'give all diligence', and to 'earnestly contend', to lay aside everything that would hinder our growing up into Him in all things, many of the proponents of OSAS are forced, by the very nature of their doctrine, to avoid listening to warnings, or to earnestly heed and obey God, for to do is seen as 'going back under the law'. 3) It grieves me to have to share this, and I call no one out in particular, but the absence of fruits of the Spirit.... the lack of love and kindness, the impatience, the anger, the pride of self have been evident in how several of the OSAS crowd have responded. Walking in love towards one another is not optional in God's view. 4) But in my mind, the biggest danger of the current teaching of OSAS. is that believing we are fine no matter what we do or do not do, even the point of saying repentance is not needed if we sin, allows saints to totally avoid being brought to the our breaking point, the point where we actually hate our old natures. This one is HUGE. Without striving against sin, without resisting unto blood, without trying to see self, the old "us", defeated in our lives, we not only remain in Romans 7, forgiven perhaps but healed only slightly, we end up accepting it as the best God can do. Oh, He can forgive us, but not cleanse us, so physical death must accomplish in us what the indwelling Spirit of God cannot. And because we limit the Holy One of Israel with our unbelief, we settle down in Romans 7, put up new curtains and a fresh coat of paint over our prison walls, and actually end up liking our living there, and seeing no need to even want to escape. May I offer this observation? Paul did not "like it". Wretched men do not like being imprisoned by a self nature that cannot love with their whole hearts.... cannot obey the one who sacrificed Himself for us.. cannot....no, no, no... WILL NOT....take the way of escape God always provides when temptation arises. Wretched men cry out for deliverance. And praise God, when He hears our cries, He does what is His very nature to do. He delivers us! Glory! blessings, Gids
  17. Before I go into common objections and misunderstandings that might hinder us from entering into the rest, I wanted to touch base on the reasons why I think this message of putting on our new nature by a reckoning of faith so that it is our testimony is the message of the hour for His people. 1) The harvest approaches.... a final end gathering of people both in and out of the church body who truly love the light, want goodness to win, both in the world and in them. But our lack of victory in the body, and the light that powers it, provides no beacon of hope to those seekers of truth. Not just written truth, nor just truth of our doctrines. Truth displayed in our lives. God has spoken, and not coincidentally in the same chapter where He promises to cause us to obey Him, and said that the heathen will know that Jesus is Lord, when He shall be sanctified IN US before their eyes. For the harvest of souls to commence, we, His people, are going to display the character of God to them, even when confronted with persecution. 2) Dark days are coming. We knew this with our heads. But our hearts hoped beyond hope that we could live out our lives in relative peace. Up til now, in times of relative peace, we have made a fair show in the flesh. Our heads are still above water, right? LOL. But a storm is approaching unlike anything we have ever seen. What has sufficed up til now simply will not suffice when the storm hits. God has promised to keep us. Opening our eyes to the promises is how He intends to see that our livex are not overwhelmed by what approaches. 3) The church as a whole has sadly become simply a modern day rebuild of the Tower of Babel. A thousand denominations, each with their own understanding of the gospel, each unable to translate what others are saying about what they see as truth. How will it ever be possible for us all to come into the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God the way things stand now? Simply put, it will not. What is the solution? Become one with Christ, believing it is no more us that live, but Christ who now lives in us. It is there, in the union of our faith with God, agreeing fully with Him as to who we are, that we can finally become one with one another. God planted us wholly a noble vine, and the pureness of the early church saw the gospel spread over the known world in one generation. But ever since the grievous wolves entered in after the death of Paul, not sparing the flock, the early rain ceases and a long hot, dry summer ensued. Thank God, mercy showers kept the crop alive, but never have we see the church even come close to regaining the glory seen in the book of Acts. Have we been birthed in power and glory, as saints walked as overcomers, victorious over the world, the flesh and the devil, full of love even in the face of persecutions, only to see His saints at the end of the age, beaten up mercilessly by the god of this world, with sins both big and small keeping us earthboumd and hardening our hearts? Are we destined to limp home to the finish line, bot as overcomers but as the forgoven overcome? Never. No brothers. No sisters. The word of God is clear. God is returning for His bride, prepared by the Holy Spirit to be without spot or wrinkle. Not "theoretically" spotless. Laodecian spotlessness will not cut it, lol. The real deal. Glory! 4) All the above are good reasons why this is the message for the hour. But there is one that trumps them all. Our God loves us and longs to fellowship with us. He knows that sin hardens our hearts, and sullied consciences cannot abide in Him as He desires. He knows that with the coming shaking, holding onto our assurances found in the Word, as wonderful as they might be, will simply not be enough to keep our hearts at peace when everyrhing that can be shaken, will be. What will suffice? One thing, and only one thing. God living inside us as we embrace the truth that we ARE new creatures, with the God we adore closer than a brother, wrapping His strong arms around us, and gently assuring us, telling us to not let our hearts be troubled, for He has us, and will not let us fall.... ever. blessings to all, Gideon
  18. There has been much contention lately on this site, much of it seeming centered around the warnings given to us in His word. In the eyes of many, they have rallied around eternal security of the believer. But I want to dig deeper here, for if we fight our battles on this ground, we miss the far more important truth. God is looking for His people to OBEY Him, not because He is a hard, authoritarian God but because we cannot abide in Him in relationship without it, and tge God of the universe wants a relationship with us. The Old Covenant made this very clear. The ten commandments were given as the standard of God. These were the things important to the heart of God, centered around this core truth..... thous shalt love the Lord, your God, with all your heart. All your mind. All your soul. aall yoyr strength. All. But there is a problem. Our old fallen natures cannnot obey. Try as we might, we find again and again, like Paul did in Romans 7, that more often than not, the things we longto do, we do not. The things we hate, however? We gravitate towards them like a magnet. And the sum of the matter? In our old natures, we simply cannot obey. But look! Thank God, we as the children of God are not inder the Old Covenant but under the new! The blood of Jesus forgives us! All changed at the foot of the cross. When He died, we are told that our old disobedient natures died with Him! And praise God, when He rose from the dead, we too were made new, given new soft hearts. Fellowship with the Father was restored! As awesome as that is, however, there is more! In these ever darkening last days, the Lord is beginning to awaken us a promise, hidden from our sight, a promise that He has clearly made to us, but one we have not even know existed. it And guys, it is, as they say, a game changer. And what does it concern? Freedom. Jesus tells us in John 8 that what He wants for us is to make us free indeed. Not just forgiven, as wonderful as that is. FREE! So what exactly does that mean? Not what that means to us. What did that actually mean to Jesus? Well, He tells us.... "Then said Jesus to those Jews who believed in Him, “If ye continue in My Word, then are ye My disciples indeed. And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man. How sayest thou, ‘Ye shall be made free’?” Jesus answered them, “Verily, verily I say unto you, whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever, but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. John 8:31-36 Whoa! Do you read what I read? He is not talking here about forgiveness. He is plainly telling us that somehow, His new covenant will actually deliver us from the grip of evil itself. Impossible? Why should thid be seen as impossible? It this not exactly what He taught us to pray for? "... and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil"? It is indeed. Under the Old Covenant, we obeyed sin. But God's purpose under the New Covenant is not just to forgive us, yet still leave us still bound to sin's power, robbing us of His manifest presence. Ultimately, it was to bring us fully back into obedience to God, where we always do those things that are pleasing to Him. The New Covenant promises to make us OBEDIENT! Glory! Don't believe me? Convinced such a promise does not exist? Well, permit me unconvincecyou, lol. Here is the promise, clearly stated out of the mouth of God Himself...... “‘Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean; from all your filthiness and from all your idols will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:25-26 "Ok" you say "but wait. That is exactly what we have already been taught. Nowhere does it tell us He will make us obedient. Right?" Well, read on.... "And I will put My Spirit within you and CAUSE YOU to walk in My statutes, and ye shall keep My judgments and DO them. Ezekiel 36:27 How about that for a mind-blowing promise? Let me ask you a question. What would God's church look like if everyone was actually walking as an overcomer, victorious over the world, the flesh and the devil? How would we appear to a world of ever-increasing darkness, if we were walking in unbroken fellowship with Him, always doing those things He asks of us, always obedient to the sweet voice of the Spirit of God inside us? Or to bring it down to a more relatable level... how do you think your life would be altered walking in free indeed? ? Do you think the world might look at us a bit differently? LOL. If all of His saints were walking in uninterrupted joy of the Lord, with their armor keeping them safe from everything the devil can throw at them, would the world not sit up and take notice? If, when we are tempted, they see Christians actually take the way of escape Jesus assures us He will provide in every temptation, praise God, do you think those in the world who love light but care nothing about religion are not going to stop and take notice, and ask us why we are different? I do. And when the church awakens to this promise, what will we be witnessing The latter rain. And when the world sees His people awake to the promise of an obedient heart, what will follow? ? The harvest. We are even now awakening. We are the blessed generation to see the restoration fo all things. Yes, us. Glory to God! blessings, Gideon P.S. Next: Ok, now how in the heck do we avail ourselves of this mind-bendingly amazing promise?
  19. Believe on the Lord Jesus and continue to believe on Him and yes, salvation is absolutely assured. We walk by faith. We love by faith. Christ dwells in our hearts by faith. It is a relationship, a being. yoked together, not simply a one time prayer. Gids
  20. Come on, brother, Hebrews was written to believers. And this scripture positively identifies them as such. How? We are told that these willful sinners WERE sanctified, past tense, but spit on on the sacrifice whereby they WERE sanctified and will suffer the results..... no more covering for their sins. I have never seen such sad attempts at ignoring what is obvious to all simply because you do not like whst it does to your doctrine. I pray you awake to the truth right in front of your eyes. Gids
  21. If that be the case, would you mind reading these verses and explaining how they are not saying what they are clearly saying. I probably have shared these verses 10 times as well as others stating the same thing and not once has any of your mindset taken the time to explain what they mean and why on the world they would be included in the Bible. Thanks in advance. "Let us hold fast to the profession of our faith without wavering (for He is faithful who promised), and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works, For if we sin willfully after having received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath accounted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath despised the Spirit of grace? Hebrews 10:23-24,26-29
  22. Brother, this has been a steady tactic of yours and your band of merry men, lol. If I told you I nursed lepors back to health, sold. all my belongings to help the destitute, donated one kidney to an 8 year old boy and tried to donate the other but they would not let me, I have a sneaking suspicion even this would not move you. So.... I think I will pass. ? I am simply sharing what God has asked me to share. Some will listen, some will ignore and some will react with indignation. Each is responsible for their own choice. If you disagree with what I share, it seems to me it would be far better, if you were concerned about new believers, that time would be better spent instructing them as you see things, rather than following every post I make to try to make it a fight. I will continue to tear at strongholds, not people. I am not your enemy and you are not my enemy. Satan is. If you want to try to get others to think badly of me, and make things personal, I cannot stop you. However, in love may I remind you there are forum rules preventing this. Thanks! blessings to you, Gids
