Sometimes it is very difficult to determine whether hindrances are God's door closing, or Satan's meddling with God's will. It's also true for the opposite, when things are going so well: is it a gift from God, or Satan encouraging you to think you've done the right thing? The ONLY way to figure out which is which is to see what God says in His word. If there's a passage that you read that nags you, that's Him telling you something very specific. If you embrace that passage and honestly desire to listen to what He has to say, you're following His will. If you read a passage and do NOT want to listen, or pretend it actually means something else, that's letting Satan mess around with you. That's what I've learned.
