Our government loves to spend money on things that they have no business even trying to work on. They are not paid to even think about such things. Their job is to "govern". Not to be our provider.

I have noticed that you have a tendency of choosing certain legalistic subjects and start asking questions about them. Since you know how to use BibleGateway, then you already know where to find scripture that answers your question. By asking a question you already know the answer to, you are leading a conversation in a certain direction by asking others to provide information you already know. That is not really a discussion, but a form of teaching. If I already knew the answer to them, I wouldn't be asking them. All of the answers I need are not in the BibleGateway.com search. You'd be amazed at how much needed information I have gotten by asking these questions on here.

I know the Bible says that the borrower is slave to the lender but what else does it say about debt? What are some verses?

I watch scary movies. But this is something that everyone must decided on their own to do or not. If you feel wrong about it then they are not for you. Good advice. One thing I ask myself is, is it doing my any bodily harm, which includes the brain. We should never do anything, at least not intentional, that would do any damage to "God's Temple" which is our body. God does not say to not do drugs, or at least not that I am aware of, but it is Biblical not to because we are doing harm to the Temple of God.

Oh, and if you go to a bookstore and they don't have the 4 that you want all in one Bible, ask the if they can get those particular 4 together. You almost can always get at least the 3 you like best in one book with a 4th one to go along with them. There are SEVERAL options.

I'm sorry. I shouldn't have even started this thread. I was just stuck in my recliner, home from surgery and looking for people to communicate with. Lots of Biblical questions came to mind, many of which I haven't even asked yet, but the response has been really well. God bless you all. That is correct. You can't become a Christian if you are an atheist. Meaning, "while you are an atheist". You first must believe that Jesus is real and will save you. Also, you don't just decide to become a Christian. Jesus calls on you first.
