I don't get why people apologise for slavery. All the slavers and slave owners are dead . No-one alive did anything for it. But your point is pointless. ONE quote from ONE doctor is just that. So the black lives matter protesters have been destroying statues of men who played roles in racist past e.g. one in London . While I don't approve of it. Its blatant vandalism and it gives the movement a bad name what do you think of the statues staying up in the first place in this time when they represent people whos actions would seriously offend other people. E.g. Christopher Columbus has statues up in America that got destroyed even though he never actually landed there. What he did do was accidentally land in the Caribbean, enslave the locals slaughter them, even sold women and children into sex slavery. ( Seriously look it up.) He was so bad that he was imprisoned for it back in Spain . His statue being up would serve no purpose other than offend people of amerindian descent. 2. King Leopold of Belgium had his statutes defaced probably due to the fact that he authorised a colonisation of the Congo that led tomillions of Africans being enslaved and murdered. Imagine how a statue would offend Africans living there. When you think about it. Having statues of these guys up pretty much equates u having one up of Hitler to the different groups they damaged

I am so glad that thr christians in this thread are universally agreeing at how awful and uncalled for the action by the police was. In a previous incident I was disgusted at some of the responses and blame shifting that was being done and not focusing on the triggering issue of police brutality in blacks.

I think the problem is thar different experiences give perspectives that's why there's a problem with this. Some blacks are seeing it from a standpoint that due to all these murders with very poor response by the law they need to let it be known that our lives matter too hence the slogan. Other races who may not get those experiences cant understand and don't see the need for the emphasis on black lives .

Well. One bad apple spoils the reputation of the bunch. But you can't use the cooperate and be safe excuse seeing the multiple videos of non resisiting, non violent or already detained black men who still got shot or choked to death when they were no threat. It shows something is wrong. And why don't you hear of these incidents in other multi racial 1st world countries UK, Canada, European nations. Blacks live there too don't they? People's lives are more important than reputations

because in that context the ones doing the killing aren't the ones supposed to keep order. A certain standard is expected of police officers. So when a high amount of non violent offenders of a certain race are getting killled dur to excessive forcr then something is wrong. This is hilarious though. People in this thread are dancing around the fire all kinda ways talking about police reputations and how other races were illtreated centuries ago. noones showing any concern that theres a current trend of black people getting murdered by police officers using excessive force. Where's Christianity in that? Is that showing for your brother?

Maybe because there are far more whites in America than blacks. That's why they're called a minority. And why are you comparing anyway? If you want to make or support a movement to prevent deaths of whites by police ,you have every right to but why oppose tje blacks struggle to prevent themselves from getting killed?
