  1. My favorite kind of Christian books are historical non-fiction (I guess that is what you'd call it) by Lynn Austin. She wrote a series of books (Chronicles of the Kings) about some of the kings of Israel - Hezekiah, his father and wicked son. She also wrote "Return to Me" and "Keepers of the Covenant" which is the story of the Israelites who returned to Jerusalem after being in captivity in Babylon for 70 years. I love these books and found them very inspirational. (By the way, not all of Lynn Austin's books are about the Bible.)
  2. I have found humility easier to grasp if I kneel when praying. Because of knee and balance problems, I have never knelt when praying but this year I found that with a little effort, I could kneel, and this has made a difference in my prayer life.
  3. There are many prophecies in the Bible and I have made a database of many of them. Reading over them and seeing how they come true, has reinforced my belief in an all-knowing God. For me, that is why reading and studying prophecy is important...
