Do you like the NIV ... I use a number of different versions,
and have even compiled my own reading of Paul's letters, direclty from the Byzanitine Greek ...
I was wondering just what purpose you intended by going through this epistle, verse by verse?

a) noticed right away that the NIV includes those last eight words that some translation leave off ...

b) why do your suppose they treat name Silouanos / Silvanus like that?
c) I happen to think that definite articles are important, so I'm pretty careful with them ... but on occasion I do add the article, but always show this addition by brackets around the word ...
does the NIV show the articles before "[the] Father" and "[the] Lord" as additions ... do you think they should have?
d) and why do you suppose they added that extra "the Lord" there at the end?
