  1. I'm sitting here racking my brain trying to figure out who I would really like to meet. I know I would like to meet some worthy's. I can't wait to see Jesus face to face!! I love Jason Upton's music. I saw him at a conference in Canada. He was leading the worship, and I was impressed with his transparency and honesty. I think I would like to meet him and spend some time worshipping Jesus with him. I would like to meet people from the bible. Moses, David, Paul, etc... Will have to think on this some more. This was a very good idea!!
  2. I scored an 84 - confident believer I would say that's accurate
  3. This isn't about my child but it is about one of my precious granddaughters. She is 4 years old and knows Jesus. Her daddy was making quite sure she knew about being born again and all. Daddy: Do you know Jesus? G-daughter: Yes Daddy: Does he live in your heart? G- daughter: Yes Daddy: Cuz he has to live in your heart so you can go to heaven. G-daughter: I'll sure miss you She She said this with a straight face. My daughter told me about that and I just about died laughing. You have to know this girl. She is quick, even at 4.

  8. I posted yesterday about the new WWII memorial and how they left out the words "so help us God" in President Eisenhower's Dec 7 speech. Here is a link so you can see it. http://www.wwiimemorial.com/default.asp?page=home.asp go down to the picture and click on "click here" under read the inscriptions. I believe this was built on donations. So...don't you think we could write or call our congressmen and senators and complain or see what we could do to get this changed? I am going to do ALL I can!! This is a history making speech and it should all be there. God Bless I will see this changed "so help me God"

  10. Yod, if it is please forgive me for acting in hast. I received it in an email and was distressed, didn't even check into seeing if it was so. I will check it out and see what I can find out.
  11. I received an email the other day that disturbed me very much and continues to do so. It didn't make me angry so much as it broke my heart. As christians there must be something we can do to prevent this from happening again or even to change this. I don't know, just a thought. Please read and tell me what you think. Subject: Who has the right to change history? Date: 01/14/05 I am sending this to all of you and especially the young who may not know! I wish somehow we could rectify this, but how to do it I don't know. WWII Memorial Omission from the New WWII Memorial Today I went to visit the new World War II Memorial in Washington, DC. I got an unexpected history lesson. Since I'm a baby boomer, I was one of the youngest in the crowd. Most were the age of my parents, veterans of "The greatest war" with their families. It was a beautiful day, and people were smiling and happy to be there. Hundreds of us milled around the memorial, reading the inspiring words of Ike and Truman that are engraved there. On the Pacific side of the memorial, a group of us gathered to read the words President Roosevelt used to announce the attack on Pearl Harbor: "Yesterday, December 7, 1941 -- a date which will live in infamy -- the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked." One woman read the words aloud: "With confidence in our armed forces, with the unbounding determination of our people, we will gain the inevitable triumph." But as she read, she was suddenly angry. "Wait a minute," she said. "They left out the end of the quote. They left out the most important part. Roosevelt said "so help us God." "You're probably right," her husband said. "We're not supposed to say things like that now." "I know I'm right," she insisted. "I remember the speech." The two shook their heads sadly and walked away. Listening to their conversation, I thought to myself, "Well, it has been 50 years. She's probably forgotten." But she was right. I went home and pulled out the book my book club is reading. It's "Flags of Our Fathers" by James Bradley. It's all about Iwo Jima. I haven't gotten too far in the book. It's tough to read because it's a graphic description of the battles in the Pacific. But right there it was on page 58. Roosevelt's speech to the nation. It ends "so help us God." The people who edited out that part of the speech when they engraved it on the memorial could have fooled me. I was born after the war. But they couldn't fool the people who were there. Roosevelt's words are engraved on their hearts. WHO GAVE THEM THE RIGHT TO CHANGE THE WORDS OF HISTORY???? People need to know before everyone forgets. People today are trying to change the history of America by leaving God out of it, but the truth is, God has been a part of the nation, since the beginning. He still wants to be. 12. Amen Sola and Botz!! Thank you for putting into words what I could not. Blessings!!
  13. Pariah, You ASSUME I have not prayed about this and you ASSUME I have not prayed for discernment. I will agree to disagree with some of things in this discussion. I feel the need to defend my faith and my relationship with the Lord, and that to me is not what I want to feel when having a discussion with other christians. We are not "all" right and we are not "all" wrong. So...I will just say, Bless you in the name of the Lord! Your fellow sister in the faith, Kimberley
  14. Hi Lizard, I'm sorry you are going through a difficult time. I will be praying for you. I would like to recomend a book to you called "Why should I be the first to change" by Nancy Missler. You can find it at www.christianbooks.com for $4.99 It is very insiteful and encouraging. One thing I have learned that I would like to pass to you is, Seek GOD's face. No matter what or how you may feel. As you submit to the Lord he will take care of you. I have found that in these circumstances GOD wants to change our heart, and as he does that you will start seeing a diffrence in the way you respond to your husband, in turn, he will start responding diffrently. Sorry there is no big revelation here, just wanted to pass on what I have experienced. GOD bless you richely!!
  15. Pariah - I didn't really have time to read all of the posts but one that I did read caused me a little grief. You were talking about drunkenness (laughing, falling, and other manifestations in churches) In Jeremiah 23:9 - My heart within me is broken because of the prophets; All my bones shake. I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine has overcome, because of the Lord, and because of His holy words. John 18: 6 - Now when He said to them, "I am He", they drew back and fell to the ground. I believe that sometimes the anointing of the Lord is so strong on a person they may shake or rest (fall) in Him. As an intercessor I have experienced heaviness or a burden so strong it takes you to the floor because you can't stand. Discernment IS very important, but you don't want to discount things of GOD because they are "different". John 21:11 - And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. We don't know it all. I will be the first to admit that. Bless you abundantly!
