  1. The Word of God is a must-read for any Christian. It's words are basically life for me and you. But I really want to know how to apply it, since I'm struggling (hence the name) to apply it. For this reason, I've felt that I'm getting nowhere. So please reply and help me! I've been facing this for months now! I thought it was simple to apply it but I was wrong. Just please help me.
  2. I hate them intrusive thoughts. They come at the most unexpected time and they always pop-up memories of the time before I was in Christ. They always bring back memories of (sorry for the word use) pornography. I've long given up on those things. And since I gave them up, I've been fighting the sin of Sexual Immorality and diminished it to the point where it only exists in my mind. Sadly, it already formed a stronghold in my mind and there, I suspect it is the source of the intrustive thoughts tempting me to return to watching (sorry again) pornography. The good thing is that the Holy Spirit has prevented me from watching such profanity again. But as long as that stronghold exists, I'll always be in the risk of being tempted to return to watching pornography. So I need help to overcome this stronghold. So in short, my question is: How do you fight intrusive thoughts? And if you can answer my question: How do you control your mind? Thank you! May God be with you! - Your brother in Christ, Struggling.
  3. Thank you everyone for you suggestions! Surely, this will help me and any New Christians who find this topic! Share this topic others too; maybe they might find it useful in reading the Word of God!
  4. Often times, I find the Bible hard to read and understand and I know that many New Christians have the same problem. So to all those experienced bible readers, pastors, evangelists, ministers, disciples and generally those who served our Lord Jesus Christ for a long time, how do you read the bible? I'm brand new to the faith so bare with me. I'm still a "babe in Christ" if you understand.
  5. Add to my previous reply: Now I have access to other forums, I'll start posting here. Thanks for giving access.
  6. Greetings brothers and sisters in Christ! Since I still don't have any access to the other forums, I guess I'll have to post here. I have to confess to all of you that I feel like that I committed the sin of idleness so many times. However, I often 'commit' this sin when I literally have nothing to do. As in, nothing to do. I always have the feeling that I have to do something, even though I know that I have finished what must be done. So I'm quite confused whether I committed the sin of idleness or not. So in short, do I commit the sin of idleness even though I finished doing my work? Thanks! - Struggling
