  1. 2 Laws in one testament. Yikes!!!
  2. 3 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? 2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Amazing...Paul called the Law teachers, "witches".
  3. 23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. 24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. Let's face it...some folks love their schoolmaster, are in full time school for life and never graduate. They meet weekly for their LAW reunions.
  4. Great, you are a righteous man. The Law was not made for you. Question, since obviously it is NOT for you, why you keeping it(partially)? Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man,... Do you feel akin to the rest?... ....but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
  5. LOL...Saints ordered to smite the heathen, now? Question...would you burn a homosexual at the stake or stone an adulterer as prescribed by the O.T. Law, if civil laws of the land allowed you to?
  6. "The Law" is multiple Laws? "The Law" is partial Law, not all? Interesting....who decides which one to adhere to, the U.S. congress?
  7. Two Laws of the O.T. or 1 Law per testament?
  8. Question...was the Law made for anyone on this forum?
  9. You are righteous? Good. Where do you fit in here? 6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; 7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm. 8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; 9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; Just curious...why do you want to be in the latter group?(who the Law is made for)?
  10. Everything you just said contradicts this..... 18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law..... But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
  11. Thy scriptures.... 6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; 7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm. 8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; 9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; Are you righteous or unrighteous? If unrighteous, the Law is right up your alley.
  12. Wrong. There are 2 Laws now.... 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. Which means you mind the things of the flesh. You need to mind the things of the Spirit. Get it right.
  13. 18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law..... But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. Yikes!
  14. We are just funnin' around. Merry Christmas
  15. Not for sinners, the Law is still in effect for sinners. I oppose the death penalty for the saint that is free from the Law though. If sinners want to smite sinners, I don't interfere. Should saints smite sinners per the Law? Or, should that be God's sole job?
  16. 9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; Question, are you a righteous man?
  17. There were OT backsliders and NT backsliders.
  18. Great question. Fact is, those busily practicing sin fall back under the Law. Including heterosexual folks. There is a think called a backsider
  19. Then nobody is righteous. Read 1 Tim 1:6-10 .....sinner!
  20. The Law of sin and death is actually the Law of the OT. Paul said the Law revealed his sin and pronounced death on him in Romans 7. Romans 8 is Paul saying he is delivered from this Law.
  21. Burn homosexuals in Spirit and not in flesh? Stone adulterers in Spirit not flesh? Pay tithes in Spirit not flesh? Pluck our eyes out and amputate troubling members of our bodies in Spirit not in flesh?.....
  22. Of course it is still enforced by God. The Law never ended. It judges folks. It has curses attached to it too. Paul sent the ol boy back to the Law that he was once delivered from.
