Seriously?  Do you think that the mods just banned you from those threads because they had nothing better to do that day?  When you get banned from the majority of threads you post in, then, statistically, that would indicate that the problem is you, not other posters.  I have gotten banned from a few threads.  Not many, but a few.  And in almost every case, that banning was a valid result of bad behavior on my part.  An insult can be constituted from many forms.  You insult people repetitively.  You imply, constantly that anyone who attempts to defend sound doctrine and refute error with actual proof is doing so with some some kind of nefarious motives.  You continually mis-characterize what people say.  You continually accuse people of not having love.  You constantly call people "haters."  I could go on, but you should get the point.  These are not the behaviors of someone who has a love and concern for all believers that he is interacting with.  Sarcasm is great fun to utilize, but in reality, it has zero usefulness on a Christian forum.

As I said, show me the insults.  I call many "Haters", and they truly ARE.  That is not an insult.

  2. I honestly wish you guys would show me these insults.  I have repeatedly asked to be shown what I said that was wrong, and thus far no one has not shown me one single thing.  There may be some, but I have seen nothing but refusal to tell me what I have done wrong.

I try to never play games when fellowship with others about such an important issue..  May God forgive me if i ever do..  I see this discussion as an opportunity to share wisdom and understanding, to be a blessig to others..  It is unfortunate that in the last two posts you have attacked my motivations.. But the LORD Jesus knows all our motivations.. His will shall be done..

    He certainly does.

Yes i read that verse here i will quote it::

    Hebrews 2:

9 "But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man."

So your belief that i have not read it was not correct..

I have no problems with the belief that The Body Jesus he existed in on earth in was made by God..  He had to have a created physical body to manifest in.. But i have a very big problem with the belief that Jesus was a created being.. Jesus is from everlasting to everlasting.. He was in the beginning with God and was God..

Since you seem to like to play games of "splitting hairs", the humanly-born man "Jesus" did not exist until He (The Word. or Logos) was physically birthed and received the name "Jesus", that His Earthly parents were told to give Him.  (and even though some of us think it was, His name wasn't even called "Jesus.")

Was the Blood of the animal sacrafices a symbol for something else?

Or was it pointing to the actual shed blood of the Lord Jesus paying the price for our sin?

    Isaiah 53: KJV

10 "¶ Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. {11} He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities."

The Bible tells us the blood of animals was both temporary (had to keep being done periodically) and incomplete, in that it only erased some physical sins... didn't change hearts nor grant Salvation.

Willie, I already went there. I'm looking for the opinions of the people that frequent this site and have already been exposed to this teaching.

My son-in-law, an Israeli Jew, wanted my opinion on Sam Harris, so I downloaded Stitcher and the first of his interviews I chose was, naturally, the first one on Christianity I saw. It brought me to the interview with this guy. What was kind of interesting was, as I see as so often the case, he made the same discoveries I've made but his reaction was completely different. He lost his faith, but in my case it was actually strengthened. I just learned to stop believing certain things about it that could not be supported in any way other than what the bible said about it, and what the bible said about it was thoroughly impeached. It is what caused me to use the sig line I now use.

While listening to the interview, I saw where he was bringing up clear and undeniable contradictions in the bible, but then explaining them as though to a child. And, oddly, he still seemed friendly to Christianity. It was as if he has not worked out in his own mind yet whether we are saved by Grace or not. It's as though he seems to think there is something to it, but he believes very little of what the bible actually says about it.

He and I both strongly agree regarding Christianity being one of the "human sacrifice" religions, except he takes it to a different conclusion than I do.

Sorry, I wasn't clear.  That wasn't for you.  It was for others like me who had never heard of the man/

I don't know what the wrong meaning is, versus the right meaning. What say you?

I have taken it to mean that it is what God wills of me. It heaps hot coals on the mindset of the enemy. The enemy is Satan. For the attack, the insult, is born of Satan and of his little antichrists at work among the world, and among the saints of Christ Jesus too. And that is where Satan's victories come, when Satan has the saints acting in kind same as the unsaved world acts.

Well, I have a tendency to take it back to the cross when Jesus did not wish any animosity, at all, upon "the little antiChrists" murdering Him, but instead, asked His Father to "forgive them."  We do seem to very consistently retaliate directly and specifically against the human beings we interact with, all the while uttering the same old thing about loving the sinner (them), but hating the sin.  Yet, we seldom see any loving directed toward anyone we think is wrong in their thoughts or actions.  ("Wrong" = Thinks differently than I do.)

I think the "heaping of coals" that God will reward is friendliness toward enemies, and working hard to help them come to an understanding of the desire to change their way because of a new heart.  Unfortunately, I see far too much "wanting to get even", and "give them what they have been giving."  I see the same thing when desiring just the opposite of what Jesus taught, by claiming a desire to ride in a physical/Spiritual army, and physically slice and slaughter other living human beings on this earth with swords while on horseback.  (Yes, I know what the sword really means... but many are hoping for a tool of war and destruction in their hands.)

I think many see the coals as "payback" and vindication.

  8. Do you feel, as I do, that most of us often place the wrong meaning on that "heaping burning coals on his head" saying..... both when it appears in Proverbs, and when it is repeated by Paul in Romans?

    Amen

Might I add, an insult is not effective if it is not taken to heart by it's recipient. One must be insulted for an insult to be of any effect whatsoever.

However there are some grand and funny curses aren't there? Ones that highlight the heart of depraved humans and can only elicit nervous laughter in response to hearing  them.

My favorite  and lesson maker for me is this particular Jewish curse: May your ship come in. May it be filled with gold to the gunnels. And, may it all not be enough gold to pay the cost of your doctor bills.

I can take great offense at that one if it comes my way, or I can totally defeat it's intent by laughing at it's clever twist thus defeating it's meanness and the heart behind it too. it is my favorite curse  for it can be easily defeated by not taking it's intent on in the first place.

God has a good curse to offer:

"If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat,
and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink,
for you will heap burning coals on his head,
and the Lord will reward you."

And there are the "classic" Christians curses we often sign our posts with, such as, "Bless you!" or "Praying for you!"  Boy don't we ever deny THOSE were anything but just our "warm Christian hearts" reaching out to others?  Sometimes I think we lie to ourselves even more than we do to others.

  10. All those shows kind of lost something for me when it dawned on me that there were probably a hundred other TV support people right there with these supposed deserted people... 24/7.   Even "makeup" people to get them ready for each shot.
