  1. This explains why God's law in writing, is obsolete. Hebrews 8:13 In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
  2. One can look to the definition of sin and test it: James 4:17 So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.
  3. Everywhere but here. And the rest is pretty big.
  4. The Lord is the Alpha and the Omega. Not just "He will be there" but He is already in both places now.
  5. It took me years to see the YEC mistakes. One post won't do it.
  6. According to the passage in scripture, a "scientist" at the celebration said that the best wine is not saved for later. The "Best wine" would likely be alcoholic. There are other passages with language that make clear that the alcohol was part of the fermenting process that killed bacteria in the water. So scripturally, all wine mentioned must be alcoholic to be purified. The significance is that the wine was instantly "aged" as the Cosmos may have been created already aged and suitable for use.
  7. "The Real Deal(TM) – Kentrosaurus aethiopicus mount in theMfN Dinosaur Hall. Note how the fake skull sticks out..." All except the skull are actual fossils dug up.
  8. God is Spirit. So any mention of God likely refers to the spiritual realm and what one might "see" but less likely any actual physical manifestation.
  9. It is silly to gauge the depth of Flood waters based on modern geography.
  10. Sin only follows knowledge of the law.....so anyone not possessing the law does not have any sin counted against them.
  11. All of those things are subject to your understanding. Without perfect understanding it's hard to make such concrete statements, like "God promised me that....." ummm....are you sure? Are you sure you got the message right? Becasue God's not really accountable to any person in this life. That's why we are called to "Faith".
  12. We can assume that they drowned. The scriptures are rather finicky on drowning and it's not usually one of God's methods.

  14. One of the reasons I am no longer a YE creationist is that I asked Creationist James Irwin, face to face, about the age of the moon and the amount of dust. His answer was that it was not young. I trust his judgment over any others who have not been there. It's not an outing one takes lightly.
  15. I used to think that as well. The story of Jesus turning water to wine illustrates that "wine" for example, is aged. So there is no reason to "Scientifically" support a young earth. Spiritually....there is no problem with the message that Adam was the first human possessing the breath of life. God doesn't really focus on the lives of animals.
  16. In addition, given all the lifeless space, this planet is quite exceptional. It would take 30,000 years to get to the next star.
  17. One thing scripture is pretty clear about is that God has foreknowledge of the entire timeline of human existence.
  18. It's not so much that is was tasty fruit. It was the act of disobedience that was the forbidden fruit. I doubt the Tree of Life had life-fruit on its branches.
  19. Or the water may have had no effect at all other than to end land life.
  20. Perhaps it had some Biblical properties: WATER from the rock at Rephidim (Exodus 17:5-7) WATER PROVIDED IN DESERT—from the rock, after smitten twice by Moses, in the desert of Zin (Numbers 20:7-11) WATER from a hollow place “that is in Lehi” (Judges 15:19) WATER TURNED TO WINE (John 2:1-11) Jesus walks on water Seas part.
  21. OK Deuteronomy 33:15 with the choicest gifts of the ancient mountains and the fruitfulness of the everlasting hills; Psalm 76:4 You are radiant with light, more majestic than ... ... Thou enlightenest wonderfully from the everlasting hills.
  22. I'm not sure they were pagans, but it still was referring to lust and promiscuity. And your hair color is wrong for a Christian.
  23. I've known effeminate boys as teenagers. And so have you. Do you really think the effeminate boys you likely teased or put up with in grade school were sinning against God by choice? Matthew 7:12 In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence of the Law and the prophets.
  24. This passage is about a gay man leaving a marriage. Unless you want more gay children, this is a good thing. But it does violate the rule of one mate for life and you can see why most would find it bad. Really, it's sad the poor guy got roped into marriage that was not right for him. Especially if they had children. Of they gay people I know, this is their story. Dad was gay, but married to please his family. Resulting in gay children.
