  1. Just to let you know where I'm coming from, I do not think that children who receive this mark (whether it be spiritual or physical), will be condemned to hell. But the question needed to be asked anyways, because this is a salvation issue.
  2. True enough. I thought about that "and" in there also.
  3. Wow- I never thought about that before. I would love to hear what others think... The Mark, like every sin, is about intention. If a child is a baby and has the mark put on them but they accept Christ later on, they will be saved. In my opinion, I do believe that children who are forced to take the mark will be made exception to the rule since they did not decide to take it. I posed this question just to get some other opinions, because I could be wrong.
  4. These are the verses I'm referring to: Revelation 14:9-11 9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, if any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
  5. I cannot find one passage in the Bible that says Mary is an Interceder, a Mediatrix, or a co-Redeemer. Mary was not perfect because she was human. Humans are not perfect, and are all sinners, as illustrated in Romans 3:10-23 (Except for Jesus, who was God in the flesh). And I don't recall any verse or passage in scripture that designates Mary as being Queen of Heaven either. Mary was who the Holy Spirit chose to bring Jesus into the world as God in the flesh. If the Bible doesn't say she isn't the Queen of Heaven, then she isn't the Queen of Heaven, simple as that. Wouldn't the Bible make it clear if she was the Queen of Heaven? The Bible doesn't hide anything. It's straightforward. Jesus never mentioned this either. Nor did God, nor the prophets, nor the Apostles. And praying to deceased saints is vain and unscriptural. First of all, why would we pray to someone that can't here us? Second, why would we pray to anyone other than the Lord? And third, why would we pray to Mary? And for those who do think Mary can be equated with Jesus. Where in the Bible does it say this? Can someone give me a reference to this somewhere in the Bible, and not some other book like the Catechism of the Catholic Church? I'm not trying to cause division or trying to destroy people's beliefs, I just want to point out the flaws in these ideologies when compared to the Bible.
  6. When that time comes, and parents decide that there children will receive the Mark of the Beast, will these children be damned to Hell? In Revelation, it says that all who receive the mark will have the wrath of God to deal with, plus the Lake of Fire. So, will children also suffer judgments if their parents decide that they should take it?
  7. In My Controls, go to the Board Settings link on the left side of the screen (you'll need to scroll down to find it). Then, look for the number of topics per forum page drop-down menu. It will say forum default, but change it to whatever you want. It's that simple.
  8. As long as you make the day another God-glorifying day, I see nothing wrong with it. And I don't think God would mind either.
  9. I live in Canada, and I guess you could say that it's the same thing up here.
  10. I agree with this.. Hey when did you make you stop trick or treating.. I had to stop at 13 :suspect: I blame my parents for that.. :suspect: any ways.. yeh.. I agree with this.. altho yes I have dressed up as a witch for the past years of my trick-or-treating, thats just cause I look good in a black hat and with gray hair..*Kinda scary since I am only 16----17 in 27 days* I decided to stop trick-or-treating at age 13. I guess I got bored of it after so many years of doing it.
  11. what exactly IS holier than thou? Basically, it means self-righteousness.
  12. It happens and SJ is right, when it happens to a new person on this board or especially to a new Christian, it can have devasting results...it is the type of thing that should be reported immediatly Of course it happens. I've seen it happen many times.
  13. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones then. I don't think I've ever been called any of those things on Worthy Boards. Then again, I don't post enough to be accused of any of those things.
  14. Ooooh.......good one! Yes, there are lots of neat things the Churches put on. One is "Judgement House" - my kids ask me to take them every year. I hope our OP can find one near him. WIP, could you explain what "Judgement House" is? I'm not familiar with this since I've never been to a non-catholic church. Catholic churches probably don't do this.
  15. This is how I feel about it. As long as the relationship between the two is a godly and God-fearing one, I see nothing wrong with them being wed outside of a christian church/ institution. Now I know there are those who will disagree, but that's okay. I don't find this to be an issue of Salvation, but still an issue of interest nonetheless. Let's keep it a peaceful and fruitful discussion.
