  1. Yes, I attended a church where the pastor preached at least 170 sermons on different things that made up the mind of Christ. You could fill up a dictionary with them. 5"Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus: 6Who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped," (Philippian 2:5) This is pretty clear that there are things we are not expected to understand. In this passage, something having to do with Equality. But the pastor only did his teaching on the A part of the passage: "Let this mind be in you". He never got into B the "form of God" or C "equality with God". People will start to scream blasphemy if anyone went anywhere near to talking about that.
  2. You can give the referance to make it easier for people to look it up if they want.
  3. Yes, that is true. After I had congestive heart failure, I was in a coma for a week. The doctors said I jump from subject to subect. My brother said I have always been that way so they decided not to give me any treatment for it. That was actually in 2005 that they put the Medtronic fibulator in me. That is why I figure God has a plan and a reason for keeping me alive. Even if it is difficult to communicate with people in a way that they can understand. I usually do not talk about this, but you did ask me a direct question about it. I think to talk about stuff like this is kind of a negative confession of faith. God always has a plan and He tells us: Proverbs 3:5 "lean not on your own understanding".
  4. This is difficult to understand. Most of the churchs I have been in are wonderful. The best part by far and away is the worship. Some are more friendly than others. For me I can understand shopping around for a church where people fit in better. But I can fit into just about any church. If anything I blame myself for not being more friendly and outgoing with people that find it difficult to talk to others.
  5. I agree with that. Just about all we need to know is in the Sermon on the Mount.
  6. I thought the law was given through Moses.
  7. Maybe you should because as far as I know Jesus tells us there is only One Law, to Love God and to love our neighbor as ourself. Perhaps you want to say there are there are three laws to love God, love our neighbor and to love ourself. We read in Galatians 3:24 "Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith." God is all about Justice but we are "justified by faith". The law is just our teacher to show us how to be good or righteous before God. David said: "Oh, how I love Your law! All day long it is my meditation". Psalms 119:97. David talks about his love for the law of God many times in the Psalms. The law shows us how to be the person God wants us to be. The grace of God does a work in us to transform us. The law helps us to know what the HOLY Spirit of God is doing in our life. Ephesians 2:8 "8For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9not by works, so that no one can boast." Clearly we are saved by the Grace of God, not our works. Although if we are saved we will show good works as evidence that God has saved us.
  8. Which law did God give us that we are not able to keep? In what way are we not able to be righteous, holy and sanctified before God?
  9. We are not responsable for that. We are only accountable to tell them and they can make their own choice.
  10. What scripture are you refering to?
  11. We actually judge ourselves. Philippian 2 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
  12. People are without excuse when they have been warned. We have to warn people or suffer the consequences if we don't. Ezekiel 3:17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from My mouth, give them a warning from Me. 18 If I say to the wicked man, ‘You will surely die,’ but you do not warn him or speak out to warn him from his wicked way to save his life, that wicked man will die in his iniquity, and I will hold you responsible for his blood." Our reward is in Heaven and our acceptance is with God, not man. The wicked man will still die in his iniquity. The question here is if God will hold us accountable if we do not warn them. We need to do our best to encourage people that they can live right before God. Because the enemy will try to tell them that they can't.
  13. 2 Timothy 3 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. 6 They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, 7 always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. Yes and the point I was trying to make is that we are ALL GUILTY, none of us are innocent. In the parable of the Pharisee and a tax collector, it was the tax collector who admitted his guilt and humbled himself before God. He was the one that was justified. We can only judge ourselves. God does not give us the ability to judge others. In Heaven everything is out in the open. They have nothing to hide or conceal. People do not talk about you behind your back there.
  14. Land use to be fifty cents an acre, but the taxes were $2. Only it was a lottery, you could not pick and choose. You paid your money and you took your chances on getting good land or swamp land. It is still a joke today that you can get a great price on some swamp land in flordia https://worthychristianforums-h45go6maxh5rpepgu.netdna-ssl.com/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png
  15. Jesus or any of His disciples would be banned on most internet sites today.
  16. The King James is authorized, but it is not the most easy to understand. I use Bible hub and I look at the different translations. We are told in Jeremiah 1:12 "I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled.” It is the KJV that God is watching over to perform. But most everyone can agree this is not the most easy translation to understand. The paraphrase Bibles are not accurate and they are not even a translation. They are a commentary and are subject to error. It is ok to read them along with the KJV. I still think the NIV is easier to understand. I read the NIV twice and then I read the KJV three times.
  17. We do not have our physical body in heaven. So there is no sickness or any of the passion we have here in our body. I think there are things they can not understand. Like aborted babies may not understand why their parents did that to them. Why they were denied the opportunity to live their life here on the earth. I am told there are a LOT of abortions. Jesus says heaven is all about the children.
  18. I wonder if he will be our next vice president.
  19. A lot of business in Florida leaves Christmas lights up year round.
  20. Because God is single-minded with His plan and His purpose. If you want to reject God and go out on your own, then do not expect any help from Him.
  21. When we have the mind of Christ then we will all be united together in one mind and one accord. WE can only be united together in and with God. This is why God caused confusion at the tower of Babel. Gensis 11 6And the LORD said, “If they have begun to do this as one people speaking the same language, then nothing they devise will be beyond them. 7Come, let Us go down and confuse their language, so that they will not understand one another’s speech.” 8So the LORD scattered them from there over the face of all the earth, and they stopped building the city
  22. Adam lived to be 930 years of age. David lived to be 70. They say that David got his 70 years from Adam. We know it was 3,000 years from Adam to David.
  23. I do not memorize the Bible word for word. But I want people to know what part of the Bible we are talking about, so they can read it for themselves. Of course, they should read the whole passage if they want the context. You are right about that.
  24. Psalm 139:16 tells us that God writes the book of our life at or before conception. We are given all of our gifts, talents and abilities. We need to do all we can to bring Him praise, honor and glory. There is nothing better than to worship and praise God. Science tells us that the total possible combination of alleles for the genes in humans is approximately 70,368,744,177,664. Right now there are 8,000,000,000. God knows the math and He knows every possible combination.
  25. What does the Bible say about ego? If it is not a word in our Bible, then I do not see any need for it. The Bible is very clear not to add or take from it. The word omniscient is a good example. I do not see this word in our Bible, so it would be adding to the Bible to use this word. There are 613 laws. They add to the Bible. No one can add to what Jesus says and only Jesus can add to what we receive from Moses. So I always go back to look to see what Moses or Jesus tells us.
