  1. For those of you who don't know what those are, for me, it's like a black dot that moves with your eye. For others, these sight interceptors can take other shapes. Basically, it's a nuissance to one's vision and, according to the internet, usually permanent. As a young person and teenager, this worries me. Any advice on how this might've happened? What can I do? Does anyone else here have them? Thank you. I plan to go to the doctor about it next week. It has been 2 weeks already.
  2. Usually, when it comes to writing a story, one would also have to come up with a set cast of character(s). It is common knowledge -for those that have been browsing writing tips online- that, for a character to be interesting and likeable (which has a significant effect on the whole story, too), there must always be some sort of character flaw. Since I've been getting into writing, creating fictitious tales, and so on... I was wondering if the whole idea of writing a character that's flawed (and I mean in a moral sense, such as: greed, lying, fear. And not physically, like a broken leg or anything that might be considered external rather than internal) is not a good way to spend one's time as a follower of Jesus Christ. Because, are we not all meant to be perfect? Perfect, however, doesn't make for an interesting story - as far as I've heard. What are your thoughts about this? I'd like to discuss this topic more.
  3. Thank you, i don't ever remember reading Deutoronomy 32 until now, thanks for showing me that. Also i read Psalm 82, but i didn't quite understand, i though maybe you'd like to explain it to me, but it's not a problem if you don't, God has a way. Also i am wondering what do you mean by "unplugging"? And how those one "unplug"?
  4. I know that i am a child of God and i am saved with the blood of Jesus, but i want to be closer to Him. I want to know that what i do is His will and i want to be led by Him. But i don't know how to start, how do i get close to God and be led by Him? I want to rejoice in the spirit and not the things of the flesh because i know that what God has is better, but how do i be led by God? I need God to lead me and to help me and to show me His ways because i cannot do good things without Him.
  5. Prayer is always accepted, feel free brother if you wish to do so
  6. I asked God for confirmation in multiple ways but i am still unsure, i want to do this out of the spirit and not the flesh.
  7. Just to go somewhere, i don't want to go into details because it could start an argument. It's not anything that's a sin though so if you had that on your mind don't worry
  8. Perhaps, i wish to medidate on Him more so i can know when a call is from the Father or the flesh, but in this case i would say it might be a yes. Either way it is definitely a good lesson God taught me by praying to Him for confirmation
  9. Thank you nevertheless brother, and may our Father keep you!
  10. I don't understan. Just wanted to let you know that this post is not related to the recent one i made. I don't even play Civ V now
  11. Just letting you know that you replied to a very old post, and by the way i've decided against it
  12. But i got silence, i am unsure wether the holy spirit wants me to do it
  13. First of , let me say that i am a Christian , but i do not consider myself of a certain branch (Protestants , Catholics etc... ) i only believe God and his holy word with all certainty (or at least i try) . I pray to God to help me with this question i have , but i'd also like to ask fellow Christians and find out what is their opinion. So as you can see in the title , i don't know if Civilization V is a game i should be playing. For the people who don't know what Civ V is , it's a game where you start somewhere in 4000 bc all the way to the year 2000 or something and build up your civilization , discovering new technologies etc... For the player to win they either have to achieve domination victory (conquering all cities) , cultural victory (having the best culture) or scientific victory (building a spaceship) . Now the thing that concerns me about this game are the Religious aspects , i am not a Religious person myself because it involves to many unnecessary and mostly invented rituals and it feels like it's being dishonest to God , i barely ever go to churches but do have meetings with other Christians. But the thing that concerns me about Civ V is that you can make your own "Religions" for your "people" to worship , and choose a pantheon of which i think all are Polytheist Gods , and only as you progress further the option to make Christianity appears. Now these "Religions" you can make really don't have any meaning apart from giving you bonuses (such as money , food and so on) and also the people in the game are not real , they are only code , you cannot even see them. But i still am not sure what to think about fake people worshiping fake Gods , could it be a bad thing? Also you can choose not to make a Religion for you Civilization , but then you'd probably have another one converting your cities. There is also this resource in the game you get called faith , i think you get them for citizen that you converted x the number of turns ( in Civ , you don't have actual citizens , instead , for example a big city has 20 citizens). With this resource you can buy bonuses or sometimes even military units. Playing computer games is one of my pastimes , but i mostly just play strategy games ( Europa Universalis IV , Age of Empires 2 , Stronghold etc...) . The only game that i play and that is not strategy i think is Minecraft , but i am put off because you need to go to the Nether sometimes to get resource , which is supposed to be a representation of hell. Thank you for your attention , and thank God.
