  1. How active is this forum? I've perused - just a little - of the forum. Initial review raises a question - does this forum have much of a following where people are posting much? Example - the "men's lounge" … it has been a long long time since anyone posted any there Just curious
  2. So far the corona virus is pretty mild compared to the flu. People in the US having the flue is in the millions … people with corona virus is in the thousands. Wouldn't a biblical pestilence be where it impacts millions and death rates fairly high?
  3. Question - how do you know I will be confused? Is it possible that you "learn" in a certain manner that is different than how I learn? As I shared with another person - I'll have to disagree with you concept. If that works for you - please follow that methodology for your learning. As for Daniel and Revelation being "simple" … if it were so simple the body of Christ would be 100% in agreement. As we know there are different view points.
  4. You have hit the proverbial nail on the head - I won't call them flaws as you did but more misunderstanding at worst. Hence the reason for my original question. Here I thought I asked a fairly basic simple request only to have responses received that ignore what my original request requested. And one wonders why the body is divided … I would rather hear different view points, understand the difference, verify what the Bible says and let the holy spirit guide me. My gut feeling - no one has it figured out yet.
  5. I'll have to disagree with you on this. Will not argue that the Holy Spirit needs to be the guide, however to not look at what the good Bible teachers have taught on this topic would not be wise. Two teachers come to mind - McArthur and Jeremiah are two that would be worth looking at. I'm sure there are others (reason for question) who have done their homework and who would jump start my learning. One I don't have the time to do the research they have, this is a complex study and their insights would help understand this topic more quickly. My responsibility is to take what they say and dig into the scriptures to see if what they are teaching is logical.
  6. Actually I would rather have different view points. Too many people get hooked into one view point and fail to look at all the various view points. Some view points are easy to toss out. Others need to be thought about. If you can understand some of the differences … then when events really start falling in place you can better prepare yourself better. If you only know one point of view you might miss the actual events. I'm in a learning phase - get as much information as possible. Take that information and let the Bible interpret what someone says.
  7. This is a topic I'm gaining a lot of interest in. Went through a Sunday School class last year that covered the book of Daniel. For those who are learned in this area … or someone whose even just read one good book on this topic … who are the top 5 to 7 teachers in this area. I've googled and have come up with some interesting links … not to be lazy but if I can get a jump start by reading some quality teaching it will help me weed out the not so good stuff. Would love to find a seminar on this where multiple speakers come in that may or may not have different views on it. Thanks in advance.
  8. Would this inquiry be better posted some place else?
  9. No - but it sure works. I have that as a signature on a couple of forums that I post on every now and then that have nothing to do with Christianity. Hobby forums. Every now and then I get a comment - opens the doors. I'll have to remember that scripture - a lot more direct. Thanks
  10. Thanks for the directions - it was there after 4 posts.
  11. I'm for a list of potential Christian conferences or seminars to attend. I'm looking for something with depth - not a "feel good" conference or seminar. Example - back in the 90s there was a conference that went around the country (like every other year). Not sure if it was a walk through the Bible or covered some area of the Bible. It had depth to it. Other options - 2 or 3 day conference where you here speakers where Bibles are opened - not one where you just sit there an listen. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
  12. I'm fairly new - under 60 minutes new ... Looking at my profile information … is there a way to add a signature? Or does that open up after I'm allowed to openly post? Thanks
