  1. Say what??? Christians have not withdrawn from the world nor have we sat on the sidelines and done nothing. Liberal and Christian are not opposites. I am both. The church is not responsible for the state of society. Choosing to fight goes against the teachings of Christ to turn the other cheek and Paul's writing "Instead, “if your enemies are hungry, feed them; if they are thirsty, give them something to drink, for by doing this you will heap burning coals on their heads.” Romans 12:20, quoting Proverbs 25:21-22 And Isaiah 59:7-8 says, "Their feet rush into sin; they are swift to shed innocent blood. They pursue evil schemes; acts of violence mark their ways. The way of peace they do not know; there is no justice in their paths. They have turned them into crooked roads; no one who walks along them will know peace. Finally, read these words of Jesus and meditate on what He said! Matthew 5:43-48, “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." Fighting is not and never will be Christian behavior that is approved by God. THE WAY OF PEACE YOU DO NOT KNOW.
  2. Why have liberals been unable to stop the conservative revolution that threatens their culture?
  3. I'm not sure what you're trying to prove. Here is what the Bible says... Hebrews 10:26-27, "For if we willfully persist in sin after having received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins but a fearful prospect of judgment and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries." Is that clear enough for you?
  4. John 7:45-47, "Finally the temple guards went back to the chief priests and the Pharisees, who asked them, “Why didn’t you bring him in?” “No one ever spoke the way this man does,” the guards replied. “You mean he has deceived you also?” the Pharisees retorted." You have clearly taken a single verse out of context and given a mistaken understanding of what it says. Since they were supposedly deceived they understood what He had said. This has nothing to do with speaking in tongues.
  5. Jesus was created by the Holy Spirit, not by a human, so He is not a descendant of Eve. If He had any of Eve's genes then He would have inherited her sin nature. Clearly that is not the case. Jesus is fully God, therefore sinless.
  6. John 1:1-3, "In the beginning was the Word [Jesus], and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made." John 14:15-17, "“If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you." There is a triune God whether you believe it or not.
  7. "Your seed" does NOT refer to Jesus, since He is not Eve's child. If He was then He was born with a sin nature (which is false). He is God's son via the Holy Spirit.
  8. It doesn't matter what people think of the Supreme Court's decisions. Romans 13:1, "Let every person be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those authorities that exist have been instituted by God."
  9. The Supreme Court's decision ruled that a Kentucky law that required the posting of the Ten Commandments on the wall of every public school classroom in the state violated the establishment clause of the First Amendment. That clearly shows that you are wrong about it not concerning the states. The Texas law case failed. Is there another case about this before the court or is that just wishful thinking on your part?
  10. When the Supreme Court makes a ruling it does "mean squat", so your opinion means nothing. Reading forms your personal opinion only. That doesn't mean you have the qualifications for interpreting the intention of the founders who wrote the Constitution. The Supreme Court's decision is what counts. Everybody has opinions!
  11. You should probably have read what I wrote before replying. I'll repeat the verse cited: Hebrews 10:26, "If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left\ Again, everyone sins, even Christians. The only sinless person was Jesus (when He was incarnate). That has nothing to do with your salvation. If it did, nobody would meet the standard and nobody would be saved. I'm not the one who is confused!
  12. Are you a lawyer? I repeat: in Stone v. Graham, 449 U.S. 39 (1980), the Supreme Court ruled that a Kentucky law that required the posting of the Ten Commandments on the wall of every public school classroom in the state violated the establishment clause of the First Amendment because the purpose of the display was essentially religious. If you think the Supreme Court's ruling was wrong, please state the legal basis of your decision. And what are your qualifications for interpreting the intention of the founders who wrote the constitution?
  13. Again, are you a lawyer or a Constitutional scholar? If not, I disagree with your claim to knowing what the founding fathers intended. Why should I accept your interpretation of legal rulings?
  14. I may not know what I'm talking about according to you but neither do I hurl insults. As one who is tasked with oversight you should set a better example. BTW, are you a lawyer? If not, I don't accept your interpretation of the Constitution. Secondly. I never said that has anything to do with making laws based upon the Bible. An example: there are laws punishing murderers, which are in agreement with Exodus 20:13, but there are no laws punishing those who violate Exodus 20:3. And wishing me "shalom" is in direct contradiction with your strident tone and accusations.
  15. That is simply your incorrect opinion. In Stone v. Graham, 449 U.S. 39 (1980), the Supreme Court ruled that a Kentucky law that required the posting of the Ten Commandments on the wall of every public school classroom in the state violated the establishment clause of the First Amendment because the purpose of the display was essentially religious.
  16. There have been court cases that have been decided: it is against the First Amendment to forcibly impose one's religion on others. That includes using government to display any parts of the Bible on government buildings. Obviously this doesn't apply to non-governmental buildings such as churches, mosques, or synagogues. In May, the Republican-controlled Texas State House failed to advance a controversial bill on Tuesday that would have required public schools to display the Ten Commandments in every classroom. Senate Bill 1515 was effectively killed early Wednesday morning after House lawmakers did not meet a midnight deadline for a vote that would have advanced the bill for a third and final passage. BTW, on which government buildings are the Ten Commandments written on?
  17. Why can't you admit your error? You wrote "In Jesus' time, there was no written word of the Bible". That simply is not true. BTW, Jewish "lay people" attended services in the synagogues, when the OT was read to them.
  18. I agree with what you wrote, although here is what Jesus said, in context. Matthew 18:21-23, "Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times." So your quote is wrong.
  19. I can't tell you how many times I've heard the comment. The First Amendment clearly states "provides that Congress make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting its free exercise." Imposing any religion, including Christianity, on others violates that law.
  20. What are your credentials for judging Christ's body? Don't you think that the Savior can manage His own flock? BTW, are you sinless?
  21. Everyone sins even Christians. It has nothing to do with your salvation. If you have accepted Christ as your savior and try to live as He directs by the Holy Spirit there is nothing to worry about. However, if you keep on deliberately sinning... Hebrews 10:26, "If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left
