  1. What is your scripture for angels being eternal beings?
  2. No one is immortal except God, [1 Tim. 6:16] He continuously supplies life and breath to all living creatures Job 12:10
  3. The animals were created exactly the same in Genesis. We are only alive because we have the breath of God. There is no difference between a man and an animal in regards to what happens at death. The only difference is that we have the Hope of the resurrection. Animals do not. Ecclesiastes 3:18-21 I also said to myself, “As for humans, God tests them so that they may see that they are [**like the] animals. 19 Surely the fate of human beings is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath; humans have no advantage over animals. Everything is meaningless. 20 All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return. 21 [God] Who knows [*if] the human spirit [Breath] rises upward and [*if] the spirit [Breath] of the animal goes down into the earth” ***[“If” is not in the original text] *The breath of an animal goes down into the earth because unlike people animals have no hope in the resurrection, only people have that hope. It is poorly translated in most texts. But these are not questions posed by Solomon the wisest man to ever live. **Like the is added by translators, it is not in the original text.
  4. The scriptures tell you exactly what happens. Death equals ceasing to exist. We do not live apart from the body. That teaching is Greek philosophy. We are a living soul. Body plus the breath of God . When the breath departs we return to the dust. The breath returns to God. The breath is God's spirit nothing of ours.
  5. The Apostle Paul commented on the resurrection. Without the Resurrection of the Body, there is no Hope for Life after Death 1 Cor 15:12-19 12 But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14 And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. 15 More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. 17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. 19 If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.
  6. From the beginning God told man what would happen if he sinned. Gen. 3:19 By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.” Psalm 90:3 You turn people back to dust, saying, “Return to dust, you mortals.” The dead are silenced 1 samuel 2:9 [NKJ] He will guard the feet of His saints, But the wicked shall be silent in darkness. “For by strength no man shall prevail. See also Psalm 6:5, Ecc. 9:3-6, Ecc. 9:10, Psalm 115:17, Job 7:21, Job 34:14, Psalm 104:29, Isaiah 38:18 etc. The dead are [Metaphorically Sleeping] Job 3:11-13 11“Why did I not perish at birth, and die as I came from the womb? 12Why were there knees to receive me and breasts that I might be nursed? 13For now I would be lying down in peace; I would be asleep and at rest Matthew 9:24 he said, “Go away. The girl is not dead but asleep.” John 11:11-15, ....Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep.......Jesus then clarifies and tells them Lazarus is dead. Acts 7:60, Acts 13:36 David fell asleep Acts 2:29 David died and was buried, Acts 2:34 David did not ascend to heaven 1 Kings 2:10 David rested with his ancestors.... 1 Cor. 15:6 Etc The dead rise at the resurrection: Isaiah 26:19, Daniel 12:2, Daniel 12:13, Job 19:25-26. Job 14:10-14, Psalm 17:14-15 Etc... Sheol in Hebrew text=Grave Hades in Greek text=Grave As in the the collective grave of all mankind.
  7. The hope [of Christians and Jews] is to inherit the ''land'' not ascend to heaven. John 3:13 And no one has ascended into the Heaven except the one who descended from heaven.........[ie Jesus] The perfect tense of the verb requires that after ascending, the Son remained in heaven at the time these words were stated. This is proof that verse 13 was John’s commentary after the ascension, rather than being part of Jesus’ dialogue with Nicodemus. This was written decades after Jesus ascended to heaven and after all the apostles except John who wrote it had died. Acts 2:29-34 David died and was buried.....and he did not ascend to heaven.
  8. No where in the bible does it say you go to heaven or hell. Hell is of Greek Mythology, not Christian or Jewish Teaching. First of all hell is a bad translation of the word Gehenna. Gehenna is an actual physical location near Jerusalem. It is also called Tophet,Valley of Hinnom etc... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valley_of_Hinnom_(Gehenna) Isaiah 30:33 Topheth has long been prepared; it has been made ready for the king. Its fire pit has been made deep and wide, with an abundance of fire and wood; the breath of the LORD, like a stream of burning sulfur, sets it ablaze. Jeremiah 7:31 And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, which I did not command, nor did it come into My heart Whenever the bible has hell, it always is a poor transliteration of Gehenna. Rev. 20:9 And fire from God *1 fell from the sky and consumed them. 10 And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, the place where the Beast and the False Prophet also [were thrown], (and they shall be tortured day and night unto the ages of the ages). *1 ‘They’ refers to the Beast and False prophet who are tortured in Gehenna during the Kingdom. That Satan is destroyed (not tortured forever) at the end of the Millennium is evident from Paul’s statement that “the last enemy that will be destroyed is death” (1 Cor. 15:26) when Jesus returns the sovereignty of the whole creation back to the Father after He has put down all rebellion. Revelation acknowledges the destruction of the ‘last enemy’ in verse 14. Gehenna (Tophet – Jer. 7:31-33) was originally prepared for “the devil and his messengers” (Isaiah 30:33; Matt. 25:41), but it will eventually be cleansed and become “holy to the LORD” (Jer. 31:40) after the Millennium. *2 Revelation 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascends unto ages of ages, *320 and they have no relief day or night – those who are worshipping *321 the beast and its image – and if anyone receives the mark of its name.” *320 Smoke ascending “unto the ages of ages” is meant to point back to the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. “Then he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain; and he saw, and behold, the smoke of the land which went up like the smoke of a furnace” (Gen 19:28). The destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah was “an example of eternal fire” (Jude 1:7). Yet Sodom did not burn perpetually, but rather permanently. Exactly the same expression is used of the destruction of Mystery Babylon (Rev. 19:3), “Her smoke goes up unto the ages of the ages!” Yet her total destruction is also said to be “in one hour” (Rev. 18:10,17,19), with nothing being left at all. “With this kind of violence Babylon the great city shall be thrown down and shall not be found, not anymore” (Rev. 18:21). There is no reason to suppose that this passage teaches eternal torment based on this expression alone. That question must be decided on other grounds. *321 The use of the present participle here (those who are worshipping) in conjunction with the present indicative verb “have” shows that the torment coincides in time with their worshipping the beast. In other words, the “torment” is while they are alive and worshipping the beast.
  9. Dimensions of the ''Restored Jerusalem'' *See Footnotes below. Rev.15-17 15 And he who spoke with me had a golden measuring rod, so that he could measure the city, her gates, and her wall. 16 And the city is laid out [in] a square. Her length was the same as her width. And he measured the city with the rod to twelve thousand measures.*480 Her length, width, and elevation are equal. 17 And he measured her wall, one hundred and forty–four cubits,*481 by the measure of a man, (that is of the messenger). *480 Many translations have “stadia” or “furlongs.” That would make the New Jerusalem over 1,400 miles in its perimeter, impossible to fit on Mt. Zion or even within the borders of the Promised Land! Such an immense size is also impossible to reconcile with the measurements of this city given by Ezekiel. However, that interpretation requires an assumption that is not at all certain or required. It is impossible to determine from the Greek text whether John was using the plural form of σταδίος (a masculine noun) or σταδίον (a neuter noun). Both words are spelled σταδίων in the genitive plural form which is what appears here. The masculine noun σταδίος refers to the Greek race course of about 600 feet, and is used in the Gospels for giving specific distances from one place to another. The neuter noun σταδίον simply means a “fixed” unit of measurement, and can refer to any set standard of length. (For the neuter noun σταδίον see the old Greek (LXX) Dan. 4:12; Sus. 1:37, & 1 Cor. 9:24). Both nouns come from the root verb that means to “stand” or be “fixed.” In this context, John was referring to the fixed length of the angel’s golden measuring rod (σταδίον). Thus John reported that the New Jerusalem was 12,000 of these fixed measuring rods around the perimeter. Knowing the total distance requires knowing the length of the rod. But this information cannot be known from Revelation alone, but requires information from Ezekiel’s vision which gives the size of the city in definite units of measurement. Ezekiel’s messenger had a rod of six “long cubits,” which is defined as a regular cubit (distance from the elbow to the fingertip – about 19 inches) plus a “span” (the width of a man’s hand – about 5 inches), totaling about 24 inches. Thus, six “long cubits” equals 12 feet (Ezek. 40:5). Using this 12’ measuring rod, Ezekiel reported that the perimeter of the restored Jerusalem was 18,000 rods (not “cubits” which is wrongly added in most translations), a total of 216,000 feet around the entire perimeter (Ezek. 48:30-35). Since we know the perimeter of the New (restored) Jerusalem from Ezekiel, the measuring rod used by the messenger that John was observing had to be 18 feet (9 long cubits) in length, since 12,000 rods divided into 216,000 feet equals 18 feet. Both Ezekiel’s 12 foot (6 long cubits) measuring rod and John’s 18 foot (9 long cubits) measuring rod could easily be handled by one man for measuring. *481 A 1000:1 ratio of the 144,000 from the sons of Seth (Rev. 14:1-5) and the 144,000 from the 12 tribes (Rev. 7:4)
  10. The rapture comes at the end of the tribulation. Those who are living will be changed, the dead are raised to life and we are all transported to near Jerusalem to be eye witnesses of the battle of Armageddon. Then the 1000 year reign of Messiah begins from Jerusalem. Psalm 2:7 The promise made to Jesus by His Father was to make the nations his inheritance and the ends of the land his possession. The promise to Abraham was to inherit the land. Gen. 13:15, 17:8, etc. Repeated to Isaac and Jacob. Gen 26:3-5, Gen. 28:10-15..Etc.. Galatians 3:29 And if you are the Anointed one’s, then you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise. Hebrews 11.. etc..
  11. God comes to dwell with man, NOT man goes to dwell with God Revelation 21:3 And I heard a loud voice from the sky saying: “Look! ‘The tent of God is with men; and He will dwell with them; and they will be His people; and God Himself will be with them – their God.’*** ***Paraphrase of Ezekiel 37:27 Ezekiel 43:7. The Renewed Jerusalem is a dwelling suitable for the SOVEREIGN OVER ALL to cohabitate with perfected mankind. Yet, even this magnificent city is called God’s “tent,” because even its splendor is inadequate to fully reflect the glory of the SOVEREIGN OVER ALL! Also Psalm 5:11 [LXX] God placed Adam [Man] in the Garden on planet Earth. Both Job & Daniel see God only after they have been resurrected back to life. Job 19:25 I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth. 26 And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; Daniel 12:13 As for you, go your way till the end. You will rest [die], and then at the end of the days you will rise [be resurrected] to receive your allotted inheritance.”
  12. It is so funny to even discuss the rapture as an event that takes us to heaven. If you have that belief in mind it is clear you do not know your bible very well. It is also clear you have the Greek Platonic corrupted version of the bible in mind. That view holds to the idea that physical flesh is corrupt and we must escape it by ascending to heaven. That idea is what we call reincarnation, not resurrection to eternal life, which is the only way to eternal life described in the bible.
  13. There are 120 Jubilees that man will live under the curse since creation. Just like there 7 days in a week there are 7 thousand years in God's creation Plan for mankind. 6 Days [6000 years] under the curse and the 7th day [1000 years] of rest in the Kingdom under our Master Jesus Anointed. 2 Peter 3:5 [LGV] For they are willingly oblivious to this: that the skies continued from antiquity, and the land out from water and by water having been upheld by the announcement*42 of God, 6 through which [announcement] the existing order was destroyed. 7 And the present skies and land, having been set aside by the same announcement,*43 are reserved for fire until the Day of Justice and the destruction of ungodly men.*44 8 Yet, do not miss this one thing: that one day with the Master is as a thousand years,*45 and a thousand years as one day. *42 In Gen. 6:3 God announced to Noah that he was delaying mankind’s judgment for 120 years. This announcement withheld the judgment of the flood for the predetermined time (while Noah prepared the ark), but also brought the judgment at the appointed time 120 years later. *43 The literal meaning of Peter’s statement is that the very same announcement that God made to Noah (that judgment would come for man in 120 years) not only withheld God’s judgment of the flood until the end of the specified time, but the same statement also indicates the time of the second destruction by fire. Genesis 6:3 has a dual meaning, predicting the first destruction by flood in 120 solar years, and the second destruction by fire in 120 Jubilee years (6000 years from creation). A Jubilee year occurs every 50th year (Lev. 25). *44 Isa. 66:24; 2 Thess. 1:7-10 *45 This is a paraphrase of Psalm 90:4, which reads in the LXX, “because a thousand years in Your eyes are like the day, yesterday which passes by...” This statement was inferred from God’s threat to Adam that “in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die” (Gen. 2:17), because “In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return.” (Gen 3:19). Adam returned to dust in the same ‘day’ (millennium) that he ate the forbidden fruit at the age of 930 (Gen. 5:5). None of Adam’s descendants’ lives have exceeded “one day” (1000 years) in God’s reckoning.
  14. The Second Exile is coming to an end, according to Leviticus 26 which gives us the time it will last. Lev. 26:17 You will be DEFEATED BY YOUR ENEMIES [REFERS TO THE FIRST EXILE]...v18 And after all this, if you do not obey Me, then I will PUNISH YOU 7 TIMES MORE [refers to the Second Exile] for your sins. The first Exile lasted 70 years, (Jeremiah 25v11, Zechariah 1v12, Zechariah 7v4, Daniel 9v2, 2 Chronicles 36:21 & Jeremiah 29:10). The punishment for the Second Exile is 70x7=490 years and is repeated 4 times in total by God, so the total is 1960 years. Jesus himself warned Israel if they did did not repent destruction would come. Luke 19:41-44. Jerusalem was destroyed by the Roman army exactly 40 years later. Jeremiah also warned Israel for 40 years before it was destroyed in the First Exile by the Babylonians. 1960 years from 70 AD takes us to 2030, however our calendar is a few months different to the Jewish calendar so the year for the end of the Exile will be 2029 on Rosh Hashanah. This is also when the last week (7 years) of Daniel’s 70 Week prophecy commences. Jesus return is on Yom Kippur 2036 on a Jubilee Year, (Isaiah 61......”to set the captives free”). (Leviticus 25:9-11 to sound the trumpet and to “proclaim liberty”). The Last Trumpet. Zechariah 9:14, Matt. 24:31, 1 Corinthians 15:52 and 1 Thessalonians 4:16.
  15. Daniel 9v2 in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood from the Scriptures, according to the word of the Lord given to Jeremiah the prophet, that the desolation of Jerusalem would last SEVENTY YEARS. (Jer. 25:11) *Daniel has been studying the books, Leviticus and Jeremiah and knows that the Jews are in the Seventieth year of Jerusalem and the Temple being in ruins. God said that after 70 years the Jews could go back into the land and rebuild the temple. So Daniel begins to pray a prayer of repentance to God, because God said in the book of Leviticus [26] if they repent they can return to the land. • Luke 19v41-44 was a prophecy of the coming destruction of Jerusalem in AD70. • When Jesus at the end of His ministry He was about to be crucified (5 days later) on Friday Nisan 14. It was 492 years after the decree of Cyrus. 40 year warning (sign of Jonah), plus the Second Exile of 1960 years =2000 years. • 70AD plus 1960 years equals 2030AD • Which will be September 2029 on our calendar • 70th Week of strengthened Covenant • *The Exiles are defined by the Jews no longer being able to keep the morning and evening sacrifices at The Temple. *The 70 year Exile prophecy is mentioned 6 times in the Old Testament..... Jeremiah first prophesied about the exile lasting 70 years...Jeremiah 25v11, Zechariah 1v12, Zechariah 7v4, Daniel 9v2, 2 Chronicles 36:21 & Jeremiah 29:10 This is what the LORD says: “When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my good promise to bring you back to this place. Daniel 9v11 *All Israel has transgressed your law and turned away, refusing to obey you. “Therefore the curses and sworn judgments written in the Law of Moses, the servant of God, have been poured out on us, because we have sinned against you. *The law of Moses is referring to Leviticus 26, which contain the curses if they didn’t obey God. *The command went out from Cyrus to restore Jerusalem and the Temple, Isaiah 44 *it was 70 weeks of years [500 years] from the warning to Solomon to when the 70 years exile ended and Daniel gave out the 70 weeks prophecy in the 70th Jubilee from creation. **492 years after [That means it was in the 493 year] Cyrus’ Decree in September 464 BC** **Jeremiah 25:11-12 This whole country will become a desolate wasteland, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years.12 “But when the seventy years are fulfilled, I will punish the king of Babylon and his nation, the land of the Babylonians, for their guilt,” declares the Lord, “and will make it desolate forever.
  16. Daniel 70 Weeks Prophecy. The basics. The 70 weeks are determined. That does not mean the time has to be sequential. *From Cyrus Decree to the completion of rebuilding Jerusalem-7 weeks (50 years). One Jubilee is 50 years. [Lev. 25:10-11] It is not 49 years. *From the completion of rebuilding Jerusalem until Palm Sunday- 62 weeks (442 years). That is, in the 443 year.. *The last ''week'' or 7 years commences at the end of the Second Exile. 1260 Days for the two witnesses and 42 months [1239 days] for the reign of the Beast/Antichrist. See next comment for a more detailed explication.
  17. Regarding The Rapture, Keep in mind: No one but Jesus has ascended to heaven John 3:13. Written as an editorial comment by John decades after most if not all the apostles [except John obviously] had died. John 7v33 Therefore Jesus said to them, “I am with you still a little time, and I am going away to the one having sent Me.155 34 You will search for Me and will not find Me, and where I am you are powerless156 to come.” 155 Here Jesus first announced His going away to the sky during the fall Feasts, six months before His crucifixion. His going away was in fulfillment of Psalm 110:1 and Hosea 5:14-15. The fall feasts (beginning with Rosh Hashannah) marks the end of the sixty-nine “weeks” of Daniel’s prophecy (Dan. 9:24-27), after which Messiah would be “cut off.” 156 They were powerless to ascend to the sky. Yet Jesus told His disciples that they also were powerless to ascend to the sky (John 13:33), because the “Son of Man” is the only person to ascend there (John 3:13). Ascension to Heaven is Greek Mythology/Platonism, not Biblical teaching. Our Hope is the Resurrection, not ascending to heaven. 1 Cor. 1212 Yet if the Anointed is proclaimed that He was aroused out from among the dead, how are some among you claiming that resurrection of the dead does not exist?283 13 But if resurrection of the dead does not exist neither has the Anointed been aroused. 14 And if the Anointed has not been aroused our proclamation is empty and your trust is empty. 15 And we are also discovered [as] false witnesses of God because we testified against God that He aroused the Anointed whom He did not arouse if it is so that the dead are not aroused. 16 For if the dead are not aroused neither has the Anointed been aroused, 17 and if the Anointed has not been aroused, your trust is empty and you are still in your sins. 18 Also, in consequence, the ones who fell asleep in the Anointed have already perished.284 19 If we have hoped exclusively in the Anointed285 in this life, we are most pitiful of all men! 283 The Greek mind had great difficulty accepting the concept of the resurrection of the flesh. They had been steeped in Plato’s “immortality of the soul” doctrine and his claim that the flesh was the “prison of the soul,” and that all physical substance was inherently corrupt. To the Greeks, escaping the body of flesh and ascending into the “celestial spheres” as pure “spirit” was the goal. Consequently, the idea of the resurrection of the flesh meant permanent imprisonment in inherently corrupt matter, and permanent confinement to this material creation. 284 Note the perfect tense. If Paul and the other Emissaries of Jesus were indeed mistaken about His resurrection, then believers who have died in the hope of following Jesus in their own bodily resurrection have already perished. Note that Paul did not allow for another possibility, that their souls were immortal and continued to live on outside the body. This is strong evidence that he did not believe in the “immortality of the soul.” Either believers died in the true hope of following Jesus in resurrection, or they already perished. Paul allowed no other option. 285 If the Emissaries of Jesus have placed all their hope in a mistaken belief that Jesus was resurrected, and face severe persecution and even martyrdom on account of their false testimony and mistaken belief, they are indeed pitiful men. Raised on the last day John 6:44, Daniel 12:2, dan 12:13 etc. Job does not see God until he is resurrected in the flesh. Job 19:25-26 I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth. 26 And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; See also: Psalm 6:5, 17:14, 90:3, 104:29, 115:17-18 Isaiah 26:19, Eccles. 9:3-6, 9:10 Acts 2:34 Job:7-21, 34:14 Our inheritance is the LAND as promised to Abraham and Isaac and Jacob. It is the promise to our Master Jesus by His Father, Psalm 2:7 7I will proclaim the Lord’s decree: He said to me, “You are my son; today I have become your father. 8Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. 9You will break them with a rod of iron ; you will dash them to pieces like pottery.”
  18. ''He'' Is not in the original text, but added by translators. However the verb is in the third person. It is NOT the Messiah who causes the abomination of Desolation. That statement is ridiculous.
  19. It's not the Davidic covenant. It's the Mosaic covenant. Leviticus 26 God promised Israel what He would do if Israel kept His statutes, commandments and Sabbaths. Lev 26:1-13 He [God] then warned them what He would do if they did not. Lev 26:14-38. God Remembers Those Who Repent Lev 26;40-46 Read Daniel's Prayer in Dan. 9:4-19 Daniel 9:11All Israel has transgressed your law and turned away, refusing to obey you. “Therefore the curses and sworn judgments written in the Law of Moses, the servant of God, have been poured out on us, because we have sinned against you.
  20. A little more to consider. Hosea 5:14 For I will be like a lion to Ephraim, like a great lion to Judah. I will tear [*them] to pieces and go away; I will carry them off, with no one to rescue them. 15 Then I will return to my lair until they have borne their guilt and seek my face — in their misery they will earnestly seek me. ” *[Them is not in the original text, but added by translators] Hosea 6:1“Come, let us return to the LORD. He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us; he has injured us but he will bind up our wounds. 2 After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will restore us, that we may live in his presence. I WILL GO AWAY and return to My place [i.e. heaven]...He will revive us AFTER TWO DAYS... that WE MAY LIVE BEFORE HIM. [Hosea 5:15-6:2] Jesus quotes from this passage and applies the phrase ''I will go away'' to His ascension: I GO AWAY....where I am going [i.e. heaven] you cannot come. [John 8:21] 2029 will be 2000 years [2 days] since Christ went away to heaven. Jesus returns after 2 Days & on the 3rd day Exodus 19:11 and be ready by the third day, because on that day the LORD will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people. Matthew 24:30Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. *A day is 1000 years Genesis 2v17but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; for in the day that you eat of it, you will surely die.” Adam did not live beyond a day [1000 years] but died at 930 years. None of Adam's descendants have lived beyond a day. Psalm 90v4 A thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night. [LGV] 2 Peter 3v5 For they are willingly oblivious to this: that the skies continued from antiquity, and the land out from water and by water having been upheld by the announcement42 of God, 6 through which [announcement] the existing order was destroyed. 7 And the present skies and land, having been set aside by the same announcement, 43 are reserved for fire until the Day of Justice and the destruction of ungodly men.44 8 Yet, do not miss this one thing: that one day with the Master is as a thousand years,45 and a thousand years as one day. 42 In Gen. 6:3 God announced to Noah that he was delaying mankind’s judgment for 120 years. This announcement withheld the judgment of the flood for the predetermined time (while Noah prepared the ark), but also brought the judgment at the appointed time 120 years later. 43 The literal meaning of Peter’s statement is that the very same announcement that God made to Noah (that judgment would come for man in 120 years) not only withheld God’s judgment of the flood until the end of the specified time, but the same statement also indicates the time of the second destruction by fire. Genesis 6:3 has a dual meaning, predicting the first destruction by flood in 120 solar years, and the second destruction by fire in 120 Jubilee years (6000 years from creation). A Jubilee year occurs every 50th year (Lev. 25). 44 Isa. 66:24; 2 Thess. 1:7-10 45 This is a paraphrase of Psalm 90:4, which reads in the LXX, “because a thousand years in Your eyes are like the day, yesterday which passes by...” This statement was inferred from God’s threat to Adam that “in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die” (Gen. 5:5). None of Adam’s descendants’ lives have exceeded “one day” (1000 years) in God’s reckoning
  21. The tribulation commences at the end of the Second Exile of the Nation of Israel. It is then when the last Week (7 years) of Daniel's 70 Week Prophecy begin. The two witnesses time is 1260 Days [about 3.5 years] then the abomination of desolation [40 days] then the reign of the beast/antichrist 42 months [about 3.5 years]. Jesus returns at the end of that time on Yom Kippur 2036. A Partial Explanation Below: The Second Exile is coming to an end, according to Leviticus 26 which gives us the time it will last. Revelation 22v16 16 I, Jesus, sent My messenger to testify these things to you for the assemblies. I am the Root and the Descendant of David, the bright and morning star.*** ***Balaam prophesied of a “Star” rising who is the Messiah (Num. 24:16-19). Peter stated that the “morning star” would “arise” on the Day of Christ’s return (2 Pet. 1:19). Here Jesus referred to Himself as the “bright and morning star,” which is actually the planet Venus when it appears early in the morning before sunrise. “The sign of the Son of man in the sky” which occurs while the sun and moon are darkened (Matt. 24:30) very well may involve the planet Venus rising in conjunction with Regulus (King) in the constellation Leo (Lion). This conjunction at dawn (viewed from Jerusalem) will occur on Yom Kippur 2036, and will appear as the King star (Regulus) crowning Venus, the morning star. 2 Peter 1v19 19 And we have the prophetic word verified19 to which you do well in heeding (like a lamp appearing in a dark place until the Day20 breaks and the morning star21 arises), 20 knowing this first in your hearts:22 that all prophecy of Scripture does not generate its own explanation. 19 Peter and John, the two living witnesses of this event, confirmed the prophetic Scriptures through their eyewitness testimony to the preview Jesus gave them of the coming Kingdom. 20 “The Day” refers to day of Jesus’ return (1 Pet. 1:16; 2 Pet. 3:8,10). 21 The planet Venus was widely known as the “morning star.” According to Rev. 22:16, Jesus is “the Root and Offspring of David, the bright and Morning Star.” A literal interpretation may indicate that (Venus) will arise on the Day of Jesus’ return. “The sign of the Son of man in the sky” (Matt. 24:30) immediately precedes Jesus coming, while the sun is dark and the moon is red. This very well may involve the planet Venus in conjunction with the brightest star Regulus (King) in the constellation Leo (Lion). See Rev. 22:16. 22 Most translations have the prepositional phrase “in your hearts” modifying the clause “the morning star arises” which would necessarily make arising of the morning star merely metaphorical. However, the Greek grammar does not support or require that understanding. A more literal reading places the prepositional phrase “in your hearts” as beginning the next sentence, and makes perfect sense since Scripture refers to knowledge being in the heart. (cf. Psalm 37:31; Psalm 64:6; Psalm 119:11; Prov. 2:2; Prov. 7:3; Prov. 12:23; Prov. 14:10; Prov. 18:15; Prov. 22:17; Prov. 23:12; Eccl. 7:22).
  22. Jesus was crucified in 30 AD. The destruction of the Temple occurred in 70 AD. 40 years after Jesus said it would be. [John 19:31, shows Jesus' crucifixion took place on a high Sabbath, which only occurred in AD30 or AD33]. Jesus [as well as other OT prophets] prophesied of the coming destruction many times to the Nation of Israel. Jesus words- Luke 19:41-44 [The same thing happened at the First Exile, where they were surrounded and starved out, eating their own children etc.] Jeremiah Prophesied for 40 years before the destruction of the First Temple. Israel was destroyed 40 years after Jesus prophesied against them the second time. God always warns before disaster occurs as in the 2 exiles from the land. Noah was warned 120 years before the flood. God warned Abraham before Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed. Before the First Exile even ended while Daniel was praying for the sins of his people, God told Daniel, He was going to Destroy the Temple a second time. Dan 9:26 The warning has been in the Bible since the beginning. The Bible has many analogies between the First Exile [in Babylon] and this Second Exile [the Diaspora]. [Leviticus 26:17-18] You will be DEFEATED BY YOUR ENEMIES [REFERS TO THE FIRST EXILE]...And after all this, if you do not obey Me, then I will PUNISH YOU 7 TIMES MORE [refers to the Second Exile] for your sins. The First Exile lasted 70 years, so ''seven times more'' is 490 years. The warning is repeated in verses 21, 24 and 28, which means it occurs 4 times in total. Therefore God will punish the Jews one, two, three and four times, and each time lasts ''seven times more'' than the First Exile, i.e. 490 years. And 4 X 490 is 1960 years. The 2nd Exile started in 70 AD, add the 1960 years punishment and we arrive at 2030, [however the Jewish New Year [Rosh Hashanah] is offset by a few months from our Roman calendar, so the year is 2029 on Rosh Hashanah, which can occur between September 5 and October 5. The Tribulation commences when the 2nd Exile ends in 2029, it is the last Week [7 years] of Daniel's 70 Week Prophecy. Jesus returns in 2036 on Yom Kippur, at the last trumpet on the 120th Jubilee since creation. Balaam prophesied of a “Star” rising who is the Messiah (Num. 24:16-19). Rev. 22:16 Jesus referred to Himself as the “bright and morning star,” which in astronomy is the planet Venus when it appears early in the morning. Peter stated that the “morning star” would arise on the Day of Christ’s return (1 Pet. 1:19). “The sign of the Son of man in the sky” (Matt. 24:30), while the sun and moon are dark, very well may involve the planet Venus rising in conjunction with Regulus (King) in the constellation Leo (Lion). This conjunction at dawn (viewed from Jerusalem) will occur on Yom Kippur 2036. Consider also: 2 Peter 3:5 For they are willingly oblivious to this: that the skies continued from antiquity, and the land out from water39 and by water having been upheld40 by the announcement41 of God, 6 through which [announcement] the existing order was destroyed. 7 And the present skies and land, having been set aside by the same announcement, 42 are reserved for fire until the Day of Justice and the destruction of ungodly men.43 8 Yet, do not miss this one thing: that one day with the Master is as a thousand years, 41 In Gen. 6:3 God announced to Noah that he was delaying mankind’s judgment for 120 years. This announcement withheld the judgment of the flood for the predetermined time (while Noah prepared the ark), but also brought the judgment at the appointed time 120 years later. 42 The literal meaning of Peter’s statement is that the very same announcement that God made to Noah (that judgment would come for man in 120 years) not only withheld God’s judgment of the flood until the end of the specified time, but the same statement also indicates the time of the second destruction by fire. Genesis 6:3 has a dual meaning, predicting the first destruction by flood in 120 solar years, and the second destruction by fire in 120 Jubilee years (6000 years from creation). A Jubilee year occurs every 50th year (Lev. 25). 43 Isa. 66:24; 2 Thess. 1:7-10 Hosea 5:14 For I will be like a lion to Ephraim, like a great lion to Judah. I will tear [*them] to pieces and go away; I will carry them off, with no one to rescue them. 15 Then I will return to my lair until they have borne their guilt and seek my face — in their misery they will earnestly seek me. ” *[them is not in the original text] I WILL GO AWAY and return to My place [i.e. heaven]...He will revive us AFTER TWO DAYS... that WE MAY LIVE BEFORE HIM. [Hosea 5:15-6:2] Jesus quotes from this passage and applies the phrase ''I will go away'' to His ascension: I GO AWAY....where I am going [i.e. heaven] you cannot come. [John 8:21] Hosea 6:2 After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will restore us, that we may live in his presence. Jesus returns on the third day, not exactly 2 days [2 millennia later]. Jesus went away almost 2000 years ago, He returns on the third day, which is after 6000 years since creation. Exodus 19:11 and be ready by the third day, because on that day the LORD will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people. 2 Peter 3:8 Yet, do not miss this one thing: that one day with the Master is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. *This is a paraphrase of Psalm 90:4, which reads in the LXX, “because a thousand years in Your eyes are like the day, yesterday which passes by...” This statement was inferred from God’s threat to Adam that “in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die” (Gen. If you are waiting for a pretrib midtrib rapture [to where?] you will be bitterly disappointed. John 8:21 Where I go, you cannot come.” John 3:13 And no one81 has ascended82 into the sky except the one who descended83 out of the sky, 84 the Son of Man, the one being in the sky. 85 80 This editorial commentary follows Jesus statement in verse 12 because John wanted to explain how Jesus could have seen and thus testify concerning “the celestial things.” 81 The Apostle John wrote this after the destruction of Jerusalem and the deaths of Peter and Paul. In Acts 2:34-35 Peter said that David had not ascended into the sky. 82 The perfect tense of the verb requires that after ascending, the Son remained in the sky at the time these words stated. This is proof that verse 13 was John’s commentary after the ascension, rather than being part of Jesus’ dialogue with Nicodemus. 83 In John 6:38 Jesus said, “I have descended out of the sky” using the perfect tense of the verb (which requires a continued result of a past action) because He was still present on earth at the time. Here John used the aorist tense (which only describes a past action) because Jesus was no longer on earth when John made this statement. Other passages that refer to the Son of God having descended from the sky are: John 3:31; John 6:33,38,41-42,46,51,62; John 8:23; John 13:3; John 16:27-28; Eph. 4:9-10 (cf. Psalm 139:13-16) The rapture is being gathered in the air by the messengers/angels of God after the tribulation. We then will descend back to the land to be witnesses of the battle of Armageddon where Jesus destroys the wicked after gathering them there. [cf Zech 14:2-3 Joel 3:2 Rev 16:14-16] see also the parable of the wheat and tares, where God gathers the wicked to be burned and the righteous to Him. All these events are the Day Of The Lord, referenced many times in the OT and NT. Jesus 1000 year Kingdom commences after The Day of The Lord. The Gog Magog battle is at the end of that 1000 years. Then all evil is destroyed by God completely and forever. i.e. no eternal torment of the wicked, but utter destruction. Sodom and Gomorrah are an example of eternal fire. Jude 1: 7 Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them in like manner to these [men], having prostituted and having gone after strange flesh, display a specimen of permanent fire,15 experiencing justice, 15 “  ” is translated in the KJV as “an example … of everlasting fire.” Yet, the Greek word ““ means a specimen (of the same thing) and not merely a representation. Thus, the fire that fell on Sodom and Gomorrah was indeed “ “ This shows that ““ which is rendered “eternal” in the KJV does not mean that the fire burns forever, but that the effects of the fire are permanent. Sodom and Gomorrah were completely obliterated so that absolutely nothing remained. 16 2 Pet. 2:6 makes it clear that the complete annihilation of Sodom and Gomorrah is the pattern for what will befall the ungodly.

    Abomination

DeighAnn I understand what a Souls is. It is described very well in Genesis. A Soul [Nephesh] is a physical being created from the dust of the land, which means both man and animals are living souls. God Breathed into man and animals the same Breath giving them life. Our body is physical and animated by God's Breath/Spirit. We do not have a separate entity living inside of us that floats away to heaven at death. When we die we return to the dust. God's Breath/Spirit returns to Him. But not for animals. At death we are resurrected by The Breath/Spirit of God again. The Bible is clear: Only The Father possess Immortality and He gives Life and Breath to all things.

    Abomination

DeighAnn>>>>>Just like it is referred to as 'milk or meat'. Food for the spiritual body!!! >>>>>The problem is we do not have a spiritual body. We are a physical created being. ''A living Soul'' animated by the Breath of God, who alone possess immortality and gives life and Breath to all things.
  25. >>>>Ki Won The key to understanding this passage and I suppose the book of Revelation as a whole is the blasphemous names on the heads of the beast. >>>No. The Key is understanding where the writer John is drawing information from, which is the Old Testament. Such Books as Isaiah, Zechariah, Ezekiel, Daniel etc.. Revelation 13 needs to be understood from what was written in the book of Daniel.
