In the meantime we do like to humanize what are wild creatures and think of them as pets. They are beautiful, but pets they are not. Those  awesome critters are mean lean killing machines. They help keep the roadsides pleasant too.

But then on one glorious day......

    Isaiah 11:6 (NKJV)
“The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them.

  2. I have been watching Jack Hibbs of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills (non-denominational) since 2020 when my local church shut down for a month.  Pastor Jack teaches the Bible book by book and chapter by chapter.  This is the kind of teaching I look for as I have been a Christ Follower for almost 50 years now.  My local pastor was new in 2020 and our current congregation is filled with new believers who are still on the milk part of learning about Jesus, so he is teaching them the basics of salvation and who Jesus is.  Each one of us are at different walks in our faith so it is important to seek the wisdom the Lord teaches us at the various steps of our walk.

Ask the Lord to lead you to a pastor who will speak to your spirit and reveal God to you in the way you can hear his voice.  He is an amazing and personal God who wants to speak to you and teach you.

  3. There are 32,000 watching the nest right now.  It's so exciting and God is watching over that little bird nest.

'Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. ' - Matthew 10:29

'Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, Even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.' - Psalm 84:3

The Lord found Israel in a desert. He found them in an empty and windy land. He took care of them and kept them safe. He guarded them as he would guard his own eyes.  He was like an eagle that stirs up its nest. It hovers over its little ones. It spreads out its wings to catch them. It carries them up in the air on its feathers.  - Deuteronomy 32:10-11

How I love turning this on ... wound back to 1pm and watched as Jackie ( I think ) returned to the nest but instead of coming in to land on the long branch flew to the branch above the nest then struggled to walk down it so jumped the last foot or so landing almost on top of shadow and scaring quite a few squawks out of him :kanoso:

Even in the animal kingdom the females like to torment the males, once in a while, just to keep them on their toes or talons.  LOL!

For families when they all prefer something wholesome / faith-based there's something nice about it and when hearing that they might get more, to have confidence it's will likely be something well thought out and tasteful.

Sometimes I wonder why more is better when it comes to tattoos.  For some that is.  I know there are some who get one or a few and then there are some who want to cover an entire arm, or leg or back or whole body.  Those are the people I wonder what they are trying to say to the world or to themselves.  God covered me in freckles so one tattoo was enough for me and now that I am old my freckles have held up, but the tattoo looks like an old flower smudge.  LOL!

There are many people who see a whole body filled with tattoos and do not feel it is tasteful no matter what the design.  Same with piercings.  With human beings, judgement is sometimes made on outward appearances.  What is that scripture about not causing your bother to stumble?

  7. @ladypeartree Sorry about the mess you are dealing with.  Pray for the kids cause if this is how they treat strangers and what they do for fun then their lives are on a very destructive path.  I would suppose they are not small children but teenagers who don't seem to get a brain very early in life, which is sad, because that usually means that no one cares.  Anyway, sorry they messed with your home!

On another note, do we know what happened with all of the emoticons?  There used to be several dozens of them and I enjoyed using them when I randomly stopped in to post something.  I use my laptop since typing on a phone screen is too hard for me.  I think probably many use their phones which offer all the emoticons they may need.  But that leaves all of us to post a :) for a happy face or a <3 for heart on a computer.

Maybe @Georgeknows why the majority of the emoticons have been removed?

I believe they are Arabs. Abraham, had two concubines, and both had son's

Yes, I recently reread that.  Hagar was an Egyptian therefore an Arabian.  The Bible doesn't state what race Keturah is of but the names of her sons does tell a story and some are Arabian names while others are associates with the Midianites who were Arabian.  When you look up the word "Midian" the description is "brawling, contention, strife, discord" and then you remember what God said about Ishmael, son of Hagar, and his descendants.  For me the Islamic religion is all about God's judgement of those with Ishmael's blood and all are of Arabian lineage.  They still have a choice just like us Gentiles (heathens and pagans) but they choose to remain in that Muslim trap.

Bukhari's hadith is supposed to be a listing of the things that he heard Mohammad either say or do.

"supposed to" those are the key words.  Joseph Smith was supposed to have had special glasses to read the hieroglyphics of the Moroni tribe but there is not one single iota of physical evidence this is truth.  Powerful, evil men say whatever they want and if you go against them, they kill you.

The meaning of TANAKH as I understand it is the Jewish Scriptures comprising the books of law, the prophets, and collected writings, which seems to include Jeremiah

I love the book of Jeremiah.  There is no way I would ever give up the wisdom and promises of the Old Testament.  Both the Old and New Covenants are valid and relevant as they always have been for those who choose to accept Jesus as Messiah.

    Immanual - God with us.

Isaiah 7:14 (NLT) - All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’).

Lu 12:51  Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

Thank you for those scriptures Anne.  We all know he will continue dividing the sheep from the goats and the wheat from the tares and he will do it in whatever way he has too.  Whenever someone tries to tell me Jesus was all about peace, I remind them of the names he called his pious, rich, religious, killers and what he did when the temple was filled with thieves and money changers.  When he does come back that final time, he won't be a whimpy, quiet, peaceful, king and every knee will bow whether they want to or not.

  12. Venezuela is having a terrible time.   The politics are worse than America.  The people are in dire straits and have been for several years when their economy completely collapsed.  I believe many of the people who left the country would have migrated legally but they either were not allowed to or could not for some reason.  Venezuela used to be a rich country and the people were happy and content for the most part but when a liberal, socialistic mentality became the leadership everything fell apart.  America seems to be on the same path unless the citizens understand the writing on the wall and unite for the good of all not the good of the most powerful and richest.  Sorry.....I will dismount from my soap box.  :)

  13. Matthew 11:28 (NLT) - Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest."

I know it may sound like one of those canned scriptures but really consider what Jesus was telling the crowd of people (potentially thousands of them, the poor, the destitute, the single, the old, the disabled, the forgotten ones, the peasants, the tired).  Each one of them had a 24-hour day just like you and me.  Each one of them had something happening in their lives that causes stress or anxiety just as daily life does for each of us today.

You don't tell us how old you are or how old your children are or how many of them there are.  You just work and work and work and work and don't seem to see any end to it all.  You don't seem to have any help from any other adult in your life and that is a sad story.  It is always our own choice to surround ourselves with people who bless our lives rather than suck the life out of us.

My own family as a child was very dysfunctional so I surrounded myself with people who cared for me and loved me, and I gave them back the same in return.   Only the Lord can give you the mental capacity to deal with your life right now and He will if you seek Him and ask Him.  Many times, He tells us to relax and breathe and stop being so critical of ourselves.  He really does want to carry your burdens and really does love you every moment.

You came here asking for help and prayer and we are here for you.  We may not be able to hug you, but we are able to hold you UP in prayer.  Please be sure to ask someone who is near to you for a little bit of help and then see what happens.  God will provide!

Don't think so. Jesus said don't take the sword and love your enemy. That's close to what he says.

The question was asked of Slibhin who originally said that the people commenting were "a million miles away from the God of the Torah."  She is on a Christian forum but does not believe in Jesus Christ.

But then there was that time Jesus told the disciples to sell their robe and buy a sword. Luke 22:36.

Ecclesiastes 3:8 says, "there is a time to love and a time to hate; a time for war and a time for peace."

We all know this ancient hatred for one another originated between Esau and Jacob (Israel). Muslims erroneously believe Esau was covenanted and promised the land.

I love that you brought this up.  I just finished reading the story again and seeking wisdom on it.  Rabekah coerced Jacob to lie to Issac and trick him in order to steal the blessing.  He honored his mother's wishes.  We all know what God thinks about liars and deceivers since He has had to deal with the biggest one of all, Lucifer, since almost the beginning of time. I believe any blessing built on lies, treachery and deceit loses its full effect.  God blessed Issac's family because of his covenant with Abraham but it could have been so different.  Human beings have been messing things up since the decision to bite the apple happened.

From the beginning the real truth is that it is all a spiritual journey for each one of us on an individual basis between us and the Father.  Jesus said each one/soul/person MUST be born of the Spirit to enter the kingdom of God.

"Whatever is born of the flesh is flesh.  Whatever is born of the Spirit is spirit." ~ John 3:6

p.s.- Still, there are no Palestinians. The land belongs to Israel by way of the oldest recorded land grant.

So true.  I believe they are actually of the Arabian race.  At least those who are not of Hebrew origins.  But actually, we all came from the loins of Noah and his sons who settled the area after the flood.  It's weird how so many people screaming and yelling to save Palestine have very, very little knowledge that there is no Palestinian people or race.
