Paul was chosen, so was Judas, Gideon, Samuel, Moses, and there will be others for a specific work, but for salvation, all are chosen, although few heed the call.

God knows everyone, including Adam and Eve from the foundation of the earth, suffering on the cross, and dying for all those who of their own free will choose to follow Him all the days of their life. Adam and Eve made the wrong choice.

Fourth thought of the day. The Lord of Hosts and the King of Glory is the Father in the Old Testament and Jesus in the New Testament. He is the “Lord of Hosts” in Revelation 19:11–20 and in Luke 2:32 he is the glory of Israel. Jesus Presented at the Temple And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord; (As it is written in the law of the Lord, every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;) And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons. And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ. And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law, Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel. And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him. (Luk 2:22-33 KJV) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14 God is One.

You are right. Salvation is for everyone. Jesus died for everyone, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Because we all have sinned, God who so loved the world gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Third thought of the day. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? Jesus, he is the King of glory. Selah. Psa 24:9-10. And: The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran. Act 7:2 .

The first thought of the day connected Adam’s descendants with the crucified one. Out of Adam’s side came Eve, and through her disobedience, the knowledge of good and evil entered the world. Out of Christ’s side came the cleansing blood of the Lamb, that washes white as snow. Look to Jesus and be saved. ~~~~~~ The second thought of the day also connects Adam’s descendants with the crucified one. “I am the LORD; I have called you in righteousness; I will take you by the hand and keep you; I will give you as a covenant for the people, a light for the nations, to open blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, from the prison those who sit in darkness. I am the LORD; that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to carved idols. (Isa 42:6-8) We impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory. None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. (1Co 2:7-8)

Very true, unfortunately.

Apparently the Hebrew word 'felt' (H4959) is a primitive root meaning; to feel of; by implication to grope: - feel, grope, search. Negative. Let me clarify. An attractive woman can easily lead men astray, and I believe the mothers of the world have a responsibility to do and say all that is noble and worthy.

I can do whatever and there is No Condemnation in Christ!
Truswell replied to Vine Abider's topic in General Discussion
That is true of many cults and false religions. As you say, "the sheep was never truly of the fold." -
It was the ninth plague, possibly a sandstorm that can last for days, or maybe locusts, but as it could be felt, it would be something physical. Jesus said to the chief priests, captains of the temple, and elders, who had come against him, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs? When I was with you in the temple daily, you didn’t stretch out your hands against me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.” (Luke 22:52-53) John Wesley says it was the time Satan had the power. (It was violent.)

Gen 3:3 "God has said, You shall not eat of it. You shall not touch it, lest you die." She was disobedient. My personal view is that Eve should have obeyed God and not listened to the deceiver in the first place. She should have told the serpent to go away, and she should not have said what she did to Adam. Men are easily led astray by an attractive woman, and I feel they have a responsibility.

The operative word is "NOW there is no condemnation." It is only when the sheep goes away from the fold and will not return, no never ever, is it lost. -
Glory to God in the highest. We have a wonderful Lord and Saviour. Thank you, Lord.

Through Eve's disobedience came the knowledge of good and evil, for which Jesus, the first Adam, paid the price, with the cleansing blood that came out from His side. Thank you, my Lord and Saviour. Any thoughts that bring praise and glory to God, anyone?

While out of Christ’s side came the cleansing blood of the Lamb, that washes white as snow. Look to Jesus and be saved. Praise his holy name. Amen. Anyone got any more thoughts that bring glory to the Lord?

What does this Scripture mean and who is this talking to? Ephesian 5:21.

If we are willing, we can submit like brothers and sisters in a large family. If someone has their heart set on having the last cake, why not let them have it? And we all get on together in an atmosphere of brotherly and sisterly love. Like Jesus said, "Love one another." It's not the end of the world, and not worth fighting over. Neither should we place too great demands on one another. Be moderate in all things. :) The only thing is, if we do that, people may think we are weak and walk over us, but it takes strength and cooperation to live like that on all sides. So, bringing us back to the Good Book, let us care for each other, and submit one to another. You knew that already. It's called harmony. Rom_12:16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. Rom_15:5 May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus. Col_3:14 And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. -

I submit to you, you submit to me, and we all submit to Christ. We are His children, and HE is head over all. -

Yes indeed. Born again of the spirit. There is no third birth. -
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. (Eph 3:17-21) Thank you, Jesus, for loving me first, sinner that I am. Love you!

Matthew makes this point, "Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost." (Mat 1:18)
-
I know. Matthew gives Joseph's line. Luke gives Mary's line, and to be recognised as fully Jewish, a person needs to be born of a Jewish mother.

Holiness equates to being not like "Me".

Jesus is very gentle and tactful in his teaching. Even though he is our Lord, and we are his servants. He provides for our all, even our food. He is indeed our all-in-all. The only thing we can do as His servants is to value, care for, and be grateful for what He has already provided, particularly our salvation. The cook (us for example), wanting a reward for being a servant, does not say to the master, “What are we going to have for doing OUR duty, thank you?” (Mat_19:27) We as the servant are only doing our duty in HIS SERVICE Therefore, let us serve Him in the here and now. Faithfully and in sincere thanks and gratitude for being in such a privileged position as His servant here on earth. Yet the Lord, who owes us nothing, will thank and reward us even though we do not deserve it immediately. He will look at the work we have all done, and even though we may have spoiled the goodness of what He has provided, he will say to all those who have faithfully served him the best they can, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” (Mat_25:21; Mat_25:23) For us, love for him is the elementary duty of all those who follow Christ. To say, “What shall we have therefore?” for doing the work the Lord requires, Mat_19:27, shows not only greedy ingratitude, but also an improper understanding of his future gift of eternal salvation. Our reward will come later. -
