In the news….Israel Takes Gaza-Egypt Border, Destroys Tunnels in Rafah The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) secured control of the entire length of the Gaza-Egypt border on Wednesday, known as the Philadelphi Corridor, and discovered some 20 tunnels nearby, as it continued military operations in Rafah. The IDF also discovered a massive, 1.5-kilometer tunnel complex filled with weapons and other facilities for housing Hamas military operations”(end quote) This is why it is necessary for Israel to go into Rafah. They have to destroy those tunnels and weapons in order to defeat Hamas.

Jesus said in Matthew 5:13 “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour,(G3471) wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be “trodden under foot of men.” When the salt loses its savour it becomes "foolish". Notice the word usage in the phrase “lose savour” is also shown as “become a fool”, and to “make foolish” (G3471) The KJV translates Strongs G3471 in the following manner: lose savour (2x), become a fool (1x), make foolish (1x). And this is what happens when people listen to “fools” or the “foolish” doctrine of "carnally" minded men. Romans 1:22 “Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,(G3471) 1 Corinthians 1:20 “Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish (G3471) the wisdom of this world? So now you know the difference between the 5 "foolish" virgins who had no oil,(Holy Spirit) and the 5 wise virgins who had the anointing oil of the Holy Spirit to lighten their lamps. And we also now know why Jesus said the foolish salt that had lost his savour would be cast out, and trodden under foot of men. It is written in Jeremiah 12:10 “Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness. The foolish virgins had the written words of God, which are like a lamp, but they did not have the anointing oil of the Holy Spirit to "illuminate" their eyes of understanding in it. They listened to fools instead, and also became foolish; like the blind guides leading the blind. Seek the Wisdom that comes only from above, and not the foolish wisdom of this world. In the parable of the 10 virgins we notice 5 are called wise and 5 are called “foolish.” The foolish took no oil for their lamps, but the wise took oil in their vessels to light their lamp. They were to await the Bridegrooms return, which represents the return of Christ. The fact that they are all called virgins tells me they are all people of the faith in Christ. Paul said in 2 Corinthians 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. So these 10 were called to keep themselves pure for the Bridegroom, which is Christ. Also all 10 had lamps, which tells me all 10 had Gods written words. In Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. So the difference between the virgins was 5 wise had “oil in their vessels”and the 5 “foolish”had none, which then caused their lamps to go out. The oil in this parable represents the anointing oil of the Holy Spirit which illuminates our eyes of understanding into Gods written words. In the law God gave many types and shadows in natural things to symbolize and foreshadow spiritual truths to be revealed later by the Spirit. In the law golden olive oil was used to light the lamp that burned in the tabernacle of the congregation. This light was meant to stay lit continually in the tabernacle of the congregation . This light represents the Light of the Lord, which is to burn inside the vessels of the Church. The golden olive oil was also to be used to anoint the ministers of the Lord, for to sanctify and consecrate them. Jesus said in John 17:17-19 17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.” There are 2 types of wisdom, there is the wisdom that comes from above by God, and there is the wisdom of the world. It is written that God made “foolish”the wisdom of the world, which partly explains why the 5 without oil were called “foolish.” It is the anointing oil of the Holy Spirit that illuminates our understanding in Gods words. Paul said in Ephesians 1:17-18 17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,” So without the Holy Spirit you are left in the dark concerning understanding the spiritual things of God. Paul said in 1Th 5:19 - Quench G4570 not the Spirit. Notice the word Quench is the same as “gone out” in the parable. Mat 25:8 - And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are “gone out.”G4570 In Revelation 2:5 Jesus said 5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent” These were those who had left their first love and had fallen back into sin. Like they say, “follow the money” if you want to know who is behind these terrorist organizations. Both Hamas and Hezbollah are mainly supported and funded by Iran, but they have other sources to obtain money and weapons. I just recently watched a lot of videos on the origins of Hezbollah and the U.S. government op called “Project Cassandra” Here is a brief explanation of “Project Cassandra” from a Politico article… “In its determination to secure a nuclear deal with Iran, the Obama administration derailed an ambitious law enforcement campaign targeting drug trafficking by the Iranian-backed terrorist group Hezbollah, even as it was funneling cocaine into the United States, according to a POLITICO investigation. This of course over the years has allowed the terrorist organization of Hezbollah to grow stronger and stronger in Lebanon to Israel’s north.

When you understand that God made “foolish” the wisdom of this world, then you will understand why they are called natural “brute” beasts. The word “brutish” in scripture can also mean “foolish”. Psalm 92:6 “A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.” In Jeremiah 10:14 God says “Every man is brutish in his knowledge:” That is because they have the knowledge of men, and not the knowledge of God. The world is full of natural brute beasts, whom the world holds in high regard and give great praise and honor. But to God they are foolish. Psalm 49:12 “Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish.” Psalm 49:20 “Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.” It is the same with the priests and pastors who do not have the Holy Spirit and the wisdom of God. They are “brutish”in their knowledge. They are “blind guides” and “dumb dogs”who do not understand the spiritual things of God. Jeremiah 10:21 “For the pastors are become “brutish,”and have not sought the Lord: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered” Matthew 15:14 Let them alone: they be “blind leaders of the blind.”And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.” Isaiah 56:10-11 His watchmen are “blind:”they are all ignorant, they are all “dumb dogs,” they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds “that cannot understand:”they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

It is God who makes the seeing eye and the hearing ear. So we need to be given eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit is saying in God’s words. But just as God can give sight, He can also make people blind. Paul said in Romans 11:7-10 King James Version 7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and “the rest were blinded.” 8 (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day. 9 And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them: 10 Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.” God said in Isaiah 6:9-10 King James Version 9 And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. 10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.” This is repeated by Jesus in Matthew 13:9-16 King James Version 9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. 10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? 11 He answered and said unto them, Because “it is given” unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them “it is not given.” 12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. 13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. 14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: 15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. 16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.”

So when Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:32 “If after “the manner of men” I have fought with “beasts”at Ephesus…” Paul is not talking about a physical war with animals here, but a spiritual battle with those “natural brute beasts”who did not understand the spiritual things of God. A lot of these “natural brute beasts”were religious types who were zealous of God, but they lacked the knowledge to understand the words of God. Paul said in Romans 10:1-2 King James Version 10 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. 2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, “but not according to knowledge.” And God said in Hosea 4:6 King James Version 6 My people are destroyed “for lack of knowledge:” because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children” And in Hosea 6:6 “For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and “the knowledge of God”more than burnt offerings”

This “spirit that is in the world”is the same spirit that “bruises the head”(darkens the mind) of the serpents seed, as is shown in the beginning. Notice what Jesus says below… John 8:43-47 King James Version 43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because “ye cannot hear my word.” 44 Ye are “of your father the devil,” and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. 46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? 47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, “because ye are not of God.” This message is also confirmed here in 1 John 4:1-6 King James Version 4 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are “of God:” because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye “the Spirit of God:”Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 5 They are “of the world:”therefore speak they of the world, and “the world heareth them.” 6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God “heareth not us.”Hereby know we “the spirit of truth,”and “the spirit of error.” So those who are of the spirit of the world will receive their own. But they will not receive those who come in the name of the Lord by the Holy Spirit. Jesus confirms this message… John 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come “in his own name,”him ye will receive. The Holy Spirit comes in “the name”of the Lord. John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is “the Holy Ghost,”whom the Father will send in “my name,” he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

Notice how Paul shows the difference between the wisdom of men and the Wisdom of God below. 1 Corinthians 2 King James Version 2 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. 3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. 4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of “man's wisdom”, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5 That your faith should not stand in “the wisdom of men,”but in the power of God. 6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: “yet not the wisdom of this world,”nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 7 But we speak “the wisdom of God” in a mystery, even the “hidden wisdom,”which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us “by his Spirit”: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God “knoweth no man,”but the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, “but the spirit which is of God;” that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which “man's wisdom teacheth,” but which “the Holy Ghost teacheth;”comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man “receiveth not” the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are “spiritually discerned.” 15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? “but we have the mind of Christ.” Notice in verse 12 Paul mentions “the spirit of the world” and the Spirit of God. It is “this spirit that is in the world”that blinds the mind of the natural man from seeing, hearing, receiving, and understanding the spiritual things of God.

So the “natural man” is taught by the wisdom of carnally minded men, which is by the wisdom of this world. But those who are born again of the Spirit are taught by God, which is by the Wisdom of God. But God prophesied that He would make foolish the wisdom of this world. Isaiah 29:13-14 King James Version 13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me “is taught by the precept of men:” 14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid” Jesus said of the hypocrites in His day… Mark 7:6-7 King James Version 6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. 7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines “the commandments of men.” Paul said in 1 Corinthians 1:19-24 King James Version 19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God “made foolish the wisdom of this world?” 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. 22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; 24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and “the wisdom of God.”

No amount of teaching or book learning by carnally minded men can fix this condition of not understanding the things of the Spirit of God. As this condition of being “in the flesh”and being “carnally minded”can only be fixed by God. This condition of the “natural man” being carnally minded is what causes “the enmity”between the mind of the flesh and the mind of the Spirit. Romans 8:6-8 King James Version 6 For “to be carnally minded is death;”but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because “the carnal mind is enmity against God:” for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are “in the flesh”cannot please God. Only by Jesus Christ can this “enmity” be removed. Ephesians 2:16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain “the enmity” thereby:

There are many religious types and religious teachers/preachers who are still in the flesh and are yet carnally minded who cannot receive/understand the things of the Spirit. An example of this is shown in the Pharisee Nicodemus John 3:3-11 King James Version 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. 9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? 10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? 11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and “ye receive not our witness.” John the Baptist repeats this Truth… John 3:31-32 King James Version 31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. 32 And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and “no man receiveth his testimony.” So the “natural man” cannot receive/hear/understand what the Spirit is saying in God’s words. This includes religious types in Christianity who are still “in the flesh”, being yet “carnally minded.”

Jesus said in Luke 5:36-39 36 And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old.37 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and “the bottles shall perish.”38 But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.39 No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.” The new wine Jesus is talking about here is the New Living Testament that a man (bottle) can only receive by the Spirit when he is made a new man in Christ (new bottle). This “new wine” or the “New Living Testament” is not written outwardly on paper or stone, but is written inwardly on our hearts and minds by the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, “but with the Spirit of the living God”; not in tables of stone, “but in fleshy tables of the heart.” This testimony of Jesus Christ by the Spirit cannot be understood by the old natural man (old bottle) neither can it be received and retained. 1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. Thus not being able to understand or receive the new wine, the old bottles (natural man) will perish. If a man is born again of the Holy Spirit, he is made a “new bottle”( new man in Christ) and therefore is able to receive and retain the “New wine” ( the Testimony of Jesus Christ) by the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is anew creature (new bottle) old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. You must be born again and be made a new bottle in order to receive, retain, and understand the New wine. Peace and God bless

It is written in Psalm 49:20 “Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.” It is also written in 2 Peter 2:12 “But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;” Jude 1:10 “But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.” So what is it the natural man does not understand? It is the spiritual things of God, as shown here… 1 Corinthians 2:14 “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” This condition of being carnally minded and not understanding the spiritual things of God is also present in many Christian denominations today. This is because they are not being taught by God, but are being taught by other carnally minded men who only know what they know “naturally” as is written above. And because of this “they corrupt themselves”, as is also written. This is why Peter said in 2 Peter 3:15-16 15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; 16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, “unto their own destruction.” Being unable to receive the wisdom of God by the Spirit, they are being led astray by the wisdom of men to their own destruction.
