  1. As long as I get to not be in hell, I'm not worried about rewards Worrying about how many rewards one is going to get seems rather self serving to me like it's all about me and what am I going to get? kinda thing. You seem very sure that we can live in sin and still go to heaven which is good because lots of people are saying we are all born sinners and we cannot help but to sin every day. So is the rewards thing trying to earn points from the Lord or something? And if we absolutely cannot lose our salvation isn't going to heaven enough reward?
  2. I'm hearing we are all born sinners and we sin every day and all sins are already forgiven past present and future. So I do truly believe Jesus went to the cross and was raised from the dead for my sins, so based on what I'm hearing all around this means I cannot lose my salvation. If you are one that is convinced you can actually lose salvation I'd like to see someone make a case for that so I can compare the bible verses you are talking about verses what everyone else is saying. It seems like the majority of people are saying all sins are forgiven and believers absolutely cannot lose their salvation! So is there a consensus on this or is there a conflict about this?
  3. They're all teaching we were all born sinners and we can't help but to sin every day - and they all teach that all our sins have already been forgiven and those that believe cannot lose their salvation Are you saying that we CAN lose our salvation? Everyone else it seems is saying we cannot
  4. But they say we are born sinners and we can't help but sin every day. I think that's what people that are followers of John Calvin teach. I was reading about that just the other day. If we were born sinners and we can't help but to sin then it's not rebellion if we can't help it.
  5. It's not a matter of justifying sin, it's the matter that Jesus already paid for our sin and if someone lives doing sinful stuff it doesn't matter, they still go to heaven. This is the general consensus even by most people on this talk forum.
  6. Good idea, I can tell people I get drunk on the weekends because I'm not perfect! So who can argue with that since none of us are perfect?
  7. Apparently Jesus drank alcohol so how is that living outside of him? And if all future sins have already been forgiven why would it matter?
  8. But that doesn't mean one won't go to heaven if they don't do obedience since all our sins are already forgiven Seems like the street preacher guys should be telling everyone to just pray the sinners prayer and not worry about any of the rest of it and they'd get lots of people to get saved! That way nobody has to worry about living right and all that and they can keep the lifestyle they're already living and just believe They all preach it's faith alone and no works so all we have to do is believe what Jesus did and after than even if people so sin in their lives it doesn't really matter because they have been saved and they cannot lose their salvation!
  9. Are the false teachers the ones that say if a christian lives in sin they won't go to heaven?
  10. I was originally asking if it's really that wrong to get drunk on the weekends. I doubt that is something a perfectionist would do ha ha
  11. Sounds like what all the preachers say is no matter how we live in our life we still get to go to heaven! Thanks!
  12. But as you said earlier all our sins are still forgiven so even if we live in sin we still get to go to heaven. Your earlier post just comes right out and says this. It helped clear thing up to let me know that no matter how I live I still get to go to heaven!
  13. It sounds like drinking alcohol is not a problem then, and who's to say how much is too much?
  14. Yes! And, according to many preachers I have been checking out, all out future sins are already forgiven. That's what they are all teaching out there and most of these guy are trained scholars so they are the professionals.
  15. I'm not trying to mock anybody. If he can make people do stuff why not make them get saved? It would be for their own good!
  16. If he is forcing people to do stuff why doesn't he force everyone to get saved?
  17. So you think our future sins are NOT forgiven then right?
  18. There ya go! If one really got saved, then is they did a bunch of sin it does matter because they will still go to heaven right?
  19. Wow! Note to self - stay away from Calvinist Jesus! I heard something about this a while back and need to read up on that. It sounds like the Calvinist stuff does agree with the bible right?
  20. There ya go! Our sins are already forgiven. You have verified what I've been hearing from numerous sources So if someone does a bunch of sin, they will still be saved and go to heaven.
  21. The general consensus I'm hearing from most people is that we absolutely cannot lose salvation after getting saved So apparently it's true that it doesn't matter is one does sinful stuff or not because they'll go to heaven in the end so it's all good! I find it odd that some say you shouldn't do sin stuff and then turn around and say you'll still to to heaven if you do but it's just not recommended. That's like going to buy a set of tires and they say we don't recommend that you drive around with no road hazard coverage but if you don't get road hazard it's all good.
  22. That would be a waste of time if the kid cannot lose salvation would it not?
  23. Except for one person, everyone seems to believe we go to heaven regardless of what our lifestyle is during this life. I'm running in to far more people that say you cannot ever lose salvation and very few that say you can So it seems like how we live doesn't natter at all because we cannot lose salvation once we get saved. I guess that's why they call it good news right?
  24. But it's good to know that I'll still go to heaven anyway, right?
  25. Wouldn't this mean most of the tv preachers are not really christians? I was reading some quotes by famous preachers including old time preachers and they all seem to say you cannot lose your salvation and your lifestyle does not cause you to lose your salvation And they seem to say people who claim one's lifestyle can cause them to lose their salvation are teaching works based salvation and are trying to earn their salvation by not sinning Seems to be a lot of big time preachers saying this
