Sooooo... we are essentially paying bad actors in good faith that they will fight our allies so we can in turn fight and/or "supply" our allies... and/ or eventually fight in the conflict with our soldiers. Madness.

I wanted to check back in and say sorry for my absence lately regarding this thread... I have been extremely busy with events in my life (all good things praise God). The responses have been good and I have taken them to heart. They have been impactful so thank you, all, for the encouragement. Will reply more in depth hopefully soon.

@ladypeartree This is more to the 'thought' that ran through my mind. Who could I claim as an enemy? What does scripture say about this? I have labeled people in my past and present as enemies... but are they according to the Word? From the Word... enemies that can be clearly identified are- our adversary- Satan Enemies of God- Tents of Edom Some who could be considered "wolves" or false-propheta our own flesh. What else? Whom else?

@Starise Thank you for this. I agree largely with what you wrote. That's how I have mainly went about about things... and I am lucky to be married so I don't have to worry about 'that' side of friends. Appreciate your reply.

So, the other evening I was about to post something I struggle with- loving your neighbor & loving your enemies. It was going to be a pretty generic post as I assume just about every believer has encountered this commandment from Jesus Christ regarding- loving your enemy. I was going to see how other believers work this out in their own lives. YET... While I was typing the post out... I had a strong thought pass through my mind... it came to me as such- 'Who are your enemies?' Now, it was pretty convicting... I felt that sensation strongly. Like, I immediately recognized that I have previously thought/ claimed/ assumed that a group of people or a person/ etc. were/ are my enemies... even though I have never met them. How could they be my enemy? Before I even ask about how others are able to love their enemies; I would like to ask this- Other than Lucifer & his ilk, and the clearly understood enemies in armed combat between nations... How do you identify 'your enemy'? It seems we have to make a judgement here... a rather strong one. I would like to understand how we reconcile the two? I mean... what if I judge incorrectly... then try to love them as though they are an 'enemy.' Would that not be sin as well? At the moment, I feel like I could have possibly went about this in error for my entire life. In a real quick search... I found this- Proverbs 26 24 Enemies disguise themselves with their lips, but in their hearts they harbor deceit. 25 Though their speech is charming, do not believe them, for seven abominations fill their hearts. 26 Their malice may be concealed by deception, but their wickedness will be exposed in the assembly Thank you for any teaching or listing verses or chapters from the Word that really dwell down on this.

Just so we are clear my good friend in Christ... I am NOT advocating for the abolishment of a Federal Agency. I do see zero value in their function but in a much more limited role. However, with my own two eyes, I am seeing their anti-human slant. Where I live, they are 'wanting to remove' most hydro electric dams in the Pacific Northwest because of Salmon numbers. (They have been declining... and I am not denying the dams 'impact' on those numbers... but there are also various types of seals that swim as far as 80 miles INTO the Columbia River from the Pacific Ocean who are also consuming portions of the fish population BUT the Fed/ state agencies won't allow them to be "dealt with.") Recently, they have been hiding behind the local Native American population as the reasons for this move. And the Salmon species has a great history with the various American Indian populations in the area. BUT... this isn't 1750... it 2024. To destroy the dams is to elevate this species to a God-like status... you can read the various Tribes words on this and see for yourself. The Feds & state environmental agencies continue to change their language regarding hydro electric power generation. IE- they don't consider it 'clean / renewable energy.' Now, I don't agree with that... maybe you do. But let's look at the catastrophe that is awaiting this future event ( because when they talk about it openly and the media runs with a topic- and it has in our region- it's only a matter of time before it becomes reality.) The hydro electric dams on the Columbia & Snake rivers deliver probably 90% of the power to the west coast. (I am not sure of that number so call it 75% if you doubt me.) The dams make the Columbia river navigable... which is important because of the vast amount of various grains and fruits grown in the areas (eastern WA/ OR & western/ central ID.) Also, the dams on the Snake River provide irrigation posibilities/ navigation/ trade/ power. Now, let's say these electric vehicles that are being forced upon us become a majority of cars on the road. You see where I am going? The EPA authorizes removal of dambs due to Salmon being on a threatened species list and I would have ZERO power. There would be NO power for anyone on the west coast. Do you see where I am coming from? There would be almost no power for the west coast... the vast farmlands would be hindered in their efficiency... and crop production would suffer mightily as well. If you are ok with that tradeoff. So be it. Peresonally, I can't vote for a person who wants to this agency obatain MORE power... it is against MY interests.

Yes. I did. I went to his website (you mentioned it in another thread) and read his platform. No thank you... he is of the opinion that the EPA is not powerful ENOUGH and basically parrots how he would 'reform' policing by not being too "hands on" with perpetrators... uhhh... we are trying that NOW here where I live.

It does. It absolutely does. A friend of mine... one day last year... he just decided to move to Mexico. Upper-Middle class guy... sells his place near me for a cool $1.5 million. (Honestly, sounds like a lot of money... and it is... but anywhere on the west coast is stupid expensive and with inflation/ post-Covid... his value shot up $500k in 2- 3 years so... he wasn't some high roller... not hurting either. Owned a landscaping business and worked 60+ hours a week... all year long.) Now he Lives in a "ex-pat community" down in the Baja Peninsula. Loves it. Has a dentist/ doctor/ barber/ etc./ etc. In this planned community of about 100- 140 houses, I believe. All American born folks. They have private security. I think he bought in at $650- 700k there. I could NOT believe him when he said he was going to do this. He did it though and says he feels safer in MEXICO than the US. He says he is never coming back... even though the financial penalties are severe up front... and I believe he pays taxes to both countries... I could be wrong on that though. I have thought about leaving BUT God has me here in this messed up place for a reason and I am going to do my best to follow his will. If that's to suffer here... I will do it. Easy to say of me now... I know... but he works all things together for our good. Hopefully, I realize that for whatever lies down the road.
