The original post asked if the 144,000 could be Christian. Anything is possible but they will definitely be of Jewish heritage since 12,000 are from each of the original 12 Tribes of Israel.

Do you believe this is possibly another example of a Christophany?

Please ignore my last post. I was unaware of some of the rules and had I known I wouldn't have mentioned anything that controversial of a subject matter. My sincere apologies.

Christ's kingdom will never be physically on this earth

10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Are you claiming these verses (^) and conditions to these verses are not physical but merely emotional? -
Then you are going against proven Theological interpretation by those who have spent a lifetime researching and studying the Word of God. Enjoy your own interpretation. I am betting it serves your motives well.

I presented Scripture and if choose to ignore that's up to you but those are authentic scriptures.

This is from the several meanings of how Hebrew words can have multiple meanings. Nod is said to be outside of the presence or face of God. Origen defined Nod as the land of trembling and wrote that it symbolized the condition of all who forsake God. Early commentators treated it as the opposite of Eden (worse still than the land of exile for the rest of humanity).

We know that Adam and Eve didn't begin procreating until their removal from the Garden. We also are confident that Adam and Eve's first children were Cain and Abel. We are also confident that the boys were only teenagers [15 to 18] when Cain killed Abel. And we know that within days of Cain murdering his brother Abel he goes to the Land of Nod that is "full of people" and finds himself a wife there and soon afterwards begins procreating himself. In my Yiddish upbringing and reading the many versions of the Bible I have always wondered if Adam and Eve was possibly not the first humans on planet earth but the first humans in the lineage that would lead to Jesus. I really have never decided one way or another and it's not a Salvation issue so honestly it's ok to think about this having more than one possibility. After all, the Land of Nod that Cain went to had people as old as Adam [Cains Father in Law] that seems impossible to be Adams children knowing that Cain was Adams "oldest child." It's just food for thought and doesn't mean anything to begin with.

4 For as touching those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the age to come, 6 and then fell away, it is impossible to renew them again unto repentance

4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? 5 For thou hast made him but little lower than God, And crownest him with glory and honor. 6 Thou makest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; Thou hast put all things under his feet:

Like many here, based upon observation of people providing pictures, I myself come from the generation long before the Internet and mobile applications. So I was studying the Bible for the history of God's people, the truth, even discovering interesting facts like why the Hebrew culture were instructed to eat Kosher [because along with the other Laws it separated them from the rest of humanity much like as a modern day Christian should be separated from the rest of humanity] and so much more. In fact, I was deep into my Biblical studies long before being able to come to forums like this and discussing topics like they do now and have been since the introduction of the Internet and chatrooms. I also have seen because of these discussion participation it has encouraged many to study the Bible for themselves in order to be a part of the conversation. And no matter the reason for people to begin reading and studying the Bible is something I celebrate because we want people to learn as much about God as one possibly can.

There's also been 2,000 years of Gentiles being saved. I figure there's a specific number that will be saved and when we reach that number things will change. I just wish it would happen now 😔

1 Corinthians 15 Paul claims that he dies daily and in Galatians 5 Paul says he crucifies his flesh and in Romans 7 Paul said he deals with wanting to do the old things he used to do.

Poll: Faith-based tattoo: Have you ever talked to someone with one?
lrs68 replied to farouk's topic in Everything Else
We had young men my age around 15 in my day that had one ear pierced but it didn't appeal to me. But the comment about a youth pastor needing tattoos as a requirement is just simply sad. It's so sad it's a tragedy in my opinion. -

I tell them you know that you are not someone from a tribal community but you are white from a country farm community. They don't care they think they look like a real man -
The belief is that Jesus returns or that one phase of the Rapture will take place as soon as the Times of the Gentiles is fulfilled. So I pray, "come on God, save that last Gentile so this will finally end "

I am not going to say had I been saved when I was 18 that I would have chosen to get a tattoo but I do agree a John 3:16 tattoo is pretty decent considering my tattoos are of male\female grim reapers, assortment of Celtic tattoos, mythical dragons, and the last tattoo is a cross that is as long as my entire ankle to knee. Unfortunately, none of my tattoos are small and decent. I really should get them removed. -

I believe, and this is unfortunate.. But about 30 years ago I decided to get inked up. I did it for all of the wrong reasons. The first couple were so horrible in meaning that I thought I was making a statement but really was trying to be someone I never was nor ever became. My tattoos are very detailed and I traveled places to well known shops and paid stupid money for my tattoos that covered multiple states. I was in a situation where I was in a small community for about 10 years and it was mostly a farming community with very reserved people. I began enjoying that way of life because it was close to my own background growing up. Then I had to relocate to an area that I knew had used to be reserved and a farming community only to see the people there had changed and now 18 year olds had complete tattoo sleeves and just hundreds of the most hideous tattoos and piercings I ever saw. Had this been in a big conglomerate city that would not have shocked me but seeing it in rural heartland USA blew my mind. I didn't judge but I remembered why I got tatted and thought about these kids probably did the same thing. I actually began feeling guilty like it was my generation that caused it because my nephews were like hey we got tattoos too. I knew I influenced them. It made me feel really foolish. -
What is a way that you spend time with God each day?
lrs68 replied to Lotw8's topic in General Discussion
I look at daily prayer being a conversation with God but I talk to Him more than I do with anyone else. I believe it is easier to hear and be led by God when we are choosing to remain in contact with Him. We're always praising Him, giving Him glory, we're confessing our sins and needs to Him, and we are seeking answers from Him. We're already placing ourselves into position to be able to hear from Him when we're continually talking to Him. I sometimes just say in my thoughts knowing that He already knows my thoughts before I ask Him, I know Lord that You hear me and You know what I am going to say to You before I say it. But, and then I just think\speak to Him like we're walking side by side having a verbal conversation because we are having a conversation just doing it in my thoughts. I have questioned outcomes, I have asked why I need to be around certain people and won't He make them go away, I have sought forgiveness for my sins, I have forgiven sins done to me by others so He knows I did, I have praised Him, I have worshipped Him, I have complained to Him, I have just spoken to Him like I would a friend or to people in general. But it's hard to imagine if I ever had to stop doing as such. I would feel all alone and lost and believe there was no hope for my situation. -

Amen! I don't know how I would\could survive every day without being able to think\meditate\pray to God. I would be as lost as I was when I was not saved if I could not pray to God.
