  1. A hearty AMEN!! Sister
  2. MT 5:31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: MT 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. cause: 3056 - of speech, a word, uttered by a living voice, embodies a conception or idea, what someone has said, a word, ... what is declared, Organized religion was speaking of the natural marriage between a women and a man when they said,
  3. MT 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: adultery: g3431 - to commit adultery, the word is used of those who at a woman's solicitation are drawn away to idolatry, to the eating of things sacrificed to idols. You Prophets of God have understood that it was said by them from the beginning, You shalt not commit adultery. From the beginning, they have told you not to be sexually unfaithful to your husband or your wife, and you have all understood that teaching. But it is a partial teaching. MT 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Both the Bride of Christ and the false church are represented in scripture as women. If any man or woman has a sensuous appetite for false doctrines, he is looking on the woman who is represented by

  5. MT 5:23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Yesha had just made the disciples understand that if they had been taught partial truth or error about one point of the doctine, it was very likely that they had been told partal truth or error about many points of the doctrine. And other verses tell us that if we break one of the laws of God, we have broken them all. The only gift that the Lord Yeshua has asked for is the souls of men. Therefore, if I or any disciple of Christ, bring another soul to the alter of the Lord to receive the mind of Christ in the baptism unto salvation, and there I find my brother Prophet of God, and remember that he has a point of doctrine against me, then it is my place to settle the dispute with him quickly. He could be correct, and I might have been breaking a very inportant law of God. MT 5:24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. Yeshua tells us not to put the gift of another man's soul on the alter of baptism if there is any doubt whatsoever that we are not teaching the truth. We are told to leave that soul waiting for us to finish our busiess, before he is placed on that alter That soul is not yet even a babe in Christ. He is not to hear the private discussion about doctrine between two brothers in Christ who have just been saved from false prophets themselves. That soul is not to become confused by any debate between Brothers in Christ. I am to go my way, to my brother, in the thoughts that I am haveing at the time. First I must settle the difference of understanding about that point of doctrine with my brother, and be reconciled to my brother in Christ. Together my brother and I must find the truth about that point of doctrine, because we can not both be correct. I can not baptize the soul that I have brought before the alter of the Lord unto salvation by teaching him any point of false doctrine. MT 5:25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison. If I have an adversary at the alter in the kingdom of heaven, he does not even belong in the Church, because every member of the Church is suppsed to be learning from the Lord Yeshua through each generation of disciples. We are being told that it is the place of the disciples of the Lord to bring the adersary in his own house of prayer into agreement with the will of God. And we must bring him to the truth quickly. If not, the adversary might at any time deliver us to the elders of religion to be judged correct or incorrect. If the elders are also incorrect, as they were in the temple of God during the days when the sermon on the mount event took place, the elders would judge me condemned to the officer, no matter how much truth I possessed. And the officer, being even less informed of the truth, would cast me into a spiritual prison that would trap me for as long as it would take to teach the truth to people who refused to listen. MT 5:26 Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing. Yeshua is still telling his dsciples,
  6. MT 5:21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgement: Yeshua reminds his disciples,
  7. Hello Adam, Glad you are here.
  8. Thank you so much, George. After reading all that you have said here, now I am certain that I want to stay. And the response of the others has really warmed my heart. May the Lord God greatly bless the people who post and read these boards. AMEN!
  9. MT 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. scribes: g1122 - ... in the Bible, a man learned in the Mosaic law and in the sacred writings, an interpreter, teacher, a religious teacher: so instructed that from his learning and ability to teach advantage may redound to the kingdom of heaven Scribes examined the more difficult and subtle questions of, the law; added to the Mosaic law decisions of various kinds thought to elucidate its meaning and scope, and did this to the detriment of religion. Since the advice of men skilled in the law was needed in the examination in the causes and the solution of the difficult questions, they were enrolled in the Sanhedrin; and are mentioned in connection with the priests and elders of the people. Pharisees: h5330 - exclusively religious. A sect that seems to have started after the Jewish exile. In addition to OT books the Pharisees recognised in oral tradition a standard of belief and life. They sought for distinction and praise by outward observance of external rites and by outward forms of piety, and such as ceremonial washings, fastings, prayers, and alms giving; and, comparatively negligent of genuine piety, they prided themselves on their fancied good works. They held strenuously to a belief in the existence of good and evil angels, and to the expectation of a Messiah; and they cherished the hope that the dead, after a preliminary experience either of reward or of penalty in Hades, would be recalled to life by him, and be requited each according to his individual deeds. In opposition to the usurped dominion of the Herods and the rule of the Romans, they stoutly upheld the theocracy and their country's cause, and possessed great influence with the common people. According to Josephus they numbered more than 6000. They were bitter enemies of Jesus and his cause; and were in turn severely rebuked by him for their avarice, ambition, hollow reliance on outward works, and affection of piety in order to gain popularity.
  10. MT 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Yeshua is speaking strictly to HIS diciples about his dsciples, speaking strictly to the kingdom of heaven, about the kingdom of heaven.
  11. MT 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Yeshua said to his disciples, Don
  12. MT 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Yeshua's command to every priest n his household is, "Let the power of your understanding of moral and spiritual truth so shine publicly exposed to the view of all men, that they may get knowledge of, and pay attention to, your comforting and confirming works, that they are excellent in nature and characteristics. That they will cause the dignity and worth of God to become manifest and that they will acknowledged YOUR Father which is in the seat of order of things eternal and consummately perfect where God dwells.
  13. MT 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Yeshua was the light of te world. And here he was telling the disciples, You Prophets of God are the power of understanding moral and spiritual truth, and are exposed to the view of all the inhabitants of the earth, openly and publicly. he was telling them, You are the abode of the blessed in heaven. You are the visible capital in the heavenly kingdom. You are set, destined, appointed on an hill. And You cannot be concealed to be kept from becoming known. If any man is in Christ, this is who he has become. MT 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. The ungodly multitudes in general, do not gain enlightenment about anything, and then hide it. Today they broadcast everything that they know about the goings on of the world on news t.v.and news radio, their candlestick. And man
  14. My appologies for posting verses 11 and 12 twice. I had forgotten to take them off the first time, when my husband wanted the phone. MT 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. salt - g217 - salt with which food is seasoned and sacrifices are sprinkled, those kinds of saline matter used to fertilise arable land, salt is a symbol of lasting concord, .... wisdom and grace exhibited in speech savour - g3471 - to be foolish, to act foolishly, to make foolish, to prove a person or a thing foolish, to make flat and tasteless, of salt that has lost its strength and flavor cast - g906 - to throw or let go of a thing without caring where it falls, .... to give over to one's care uncertain about the result foot: g2662 - ... metaph. to treat with rudeness and insult, to spurn, treat with insulting neglect men: 444 - ... with the added notion of weakness, by which man is, led into a mistake or prompted to sin, with the adjunct notion of contempt or disdainful pity, with reference to two fold nature of man, body and soul; with reference to the two fold nature of man, the corrupt and the truly Christian man, conformed to the nature of God; Yeshua had just told all of the disciples who had come to learn from him that they are Prophets of God. He goes on to say, You Prophets of God are the symbol of lasting concord upon the whole earth. You are her light. But if the Prophet of God has lost his strength and flavor where will he again obtain lasting concord? From that time forward, that fallen Prophet of God is good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodded upon, treated with rudeness and insult, and to be spurned, and to be treated with insulting neglect of men. In John 14:12 Yeshua prophesied this,
  15. Just so you'll know, Steve, I study scripture looking for what I need to hear, not looking for what I want to hear. It has a way of forcing me to look at life with a "floodlight" shining on it. Maybe that is what is wrong here. Maybe the "floodlight" is too strong for some. "Plugging in defintions", as you call it, is not even being used to seek the meanings of the passages. It only helps to pin down the meaning that is already there, so that I won't be tempted to see only the natural side of the statements that are made. I hear the spirit of the verses, which is something that must be practiced continually after the Lord gives it to the person. It is one form of the act that scripture advises us, to "be being filled"
  16. Hello Shilou, I really didn't think anyone was trying to persecute me. I had read Steve's post and posted the next verse myself thinking my post was next. As it tuns out yours was next. My method of study shows - practical application - of the verses to everyday life of people. My point was at first just to do a meditative type study on the book of Matthew, as I said in the first post Matthew 1 thread. I had thought that several might join in. I had expected them to reveal spiritual insights, which is what scripture reveals to me. I'm sure that you know that every time we study any one section of scripture, the Lord shows us more than he showed us the last time we studied the same section. Because the multitudes are the same kind of people in every generation, I am only taking an honest up front look at the world we live in as a parallel comparison to the world Yeshua lived in. The reason is that all Christians are called to the great commission of overcoming sin, and nobody can overcome the thing that he can't see clearly. Since Yeshua is the Savior, I also find his step by step instructions to anyone who will listen to him. And the result of taking an honest look at the world we live in today very clearly shows that religion as a whole is rushing through the wide door that leads to destruction. And no, Shilou, I am not superior at all. I'm just listening to the verses tell me about the world I'm living in and what needs to be done about it, and trying to pass that on to others. One major thing I have learned about myself is that if I realy want to hear, I listen closely. And if not, I don't. And the rest of the world is the same way.
  17. MT 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. revile - g3679 - to reproach; upbraid, revile, of deserved reproach, of undeserved reproach, to revile; to upbraid, cast (favours received) in one's teeth persecute - g1377 - ... in any way whatever to harass, trouble, molest one, to persecute, to be mistreated, suffer persecution on account of something, without the idea of hostility, to run after, follow after: someone, metaph., to pursue, to seek after eagerly, earnestly endeavour to acquire, evil - g4487 - that which is or has been uttered by the living voice, thing spoken, ..... so far forth as it is a matter of narration, so far as it is a matter of command, a matter of dispute, case at law, falsely - g5574 - to lie, to speak deliberate falsehoods, to deceive one by a lie, Blessed are you, when men shall reproach you, deserved or undeserved. Blessed are you when men upbraid you, casting the favor you have shown them you beck in your teeth. And blessed are you when men persecute you, and shall narrate all manner of matters of dispute, or matters of command, or cases at law, against you falsely, for Yeshua
  18. I'm doing my best to show anyone who wants to know, the things that the Lord has taught me through studying scripture line upon line. You are correct, there are a lot of lost souls out there that need our help in having relationship with Yeshua. I also was one of these people, but unlike you, I had no man or woman to help me. This is an effort took to bring people like you and I were closer to the Lord. As followers of Christ, it is up to each of US to take what He teaches us individually to the world, but what he has taught me is not very limited. As you have said, it is the responsibility we bear as deciples of Christ. It just happens that this way of presenting what he has taught me is the way he taught me to give it. I have not judged any person of these things. I have only presented what is in the verses. I have posted, the reader has read, but it is the Holy Spirit who touches the reader's conscience. If any reader feel as though I had judged him, or criticised him, he should take that conversation up with the Lord. Yeshua di instruct the disciples to be a light unto the world, and not to keep that light hidden. In this day and age that is a very huge and difficult responsibility we carry. Yes it is, and judgement begins in the pulpit. Those who are falling away, and have never known Christ, but just go to church for their own reasons, and Christians who walk that fine line between their faith and the worldhave never found salvatin in the first place. And truly unfortunate for the many well versed Christians is that they won't speak up. I don't think they will be very happy when the Lord says "Depart, you who work iniquety." If you have heard what I have posted in the first four threads of my study, then you know that the disciples began to know Yeshua very well from the moment he started teaching them. And even before he was arrested Yeshua taught the disciples that they were to fulfill the law and the prophets. And if we are following Yeshua, it is also our responsibility to fulfill his prophesies about us. True love for Yeshua is based on how willing am I to stick my neck out for Him in a world that is going to verbally stone me. And the bigest stones are thrown by the religious crowd. I know. I've been at this for almost eight years, only not on the internet. And the second commandment would put me on the spot to share this pearl I found, this wonderful brillant pearl that brings everlasting life. Puts me there too. Not everyone is going to listen to me and I don't care because if only one does at that moment in time all the heavenly hosts rejoice and boy what a feeling that is. I know this well also. I am now in the process of sharing my discipleship to Yeshua with all who are presently around me. And blessed is Yeshua who came and found you where you were at, all glory and praise belong to Him. Oh, I certainly hope my Lord Yeshua is blessed in me.
  19. MT 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. poor - g4434 - lacking in anything as respects their spirit, destitute of wealth of learning and intellectual culture which the schools afford (men of this class most readily gave themselves up to Christ's teaching and proved themselves fitted to lay hold of the heavenly treasure) spirit - g4151 - ..... the disposition or influence which fills and governs the soul of any one ..... kingdom - g932 - ...... the efficient source of any power, affection, emotion, desire, etc. heaven - g3772 - ..... the seat of order of things eternal and consummately perfect where God dwells Blessed are the poor in spirit, those destitute of wealth of learning and intellectual culture which the schools afford, destitute of academics, for theirs is the efficient source of any power, affection, emotion, desire, the kingdom, of the seat of order of things eternal and consummately perfect where God dwells, heaven. Blessed are the peacemakers. Because they shall be called the children of God
  20. MT 5:1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: Strong
  21. I understand that you are seeking some deeper meaning to the Word, to try to untangle the interpretations of natural man. But you are not relying on the Bible itself to do this, you are relying upon the word of a man, a natural man. Strong's Concordance is the authoritative source that man of these "natural men" use for their interpretations. Furthermore, you are relying way too much on Strong's to derive deeper meaning and understanding for you. I don't believe that this was ever the intention of the book in the first place. Strong's is intended to enhance Bible reading, and deepen a believer's academic understanding of the language and its ussage. Over-reliance of any man's work to interpret the Bible for you can lead you into serious error, as has been pointed out above. Let me give you an example of this, and how there is a current heresy concerning John 1:1: John 1:1 says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Here are the Strong's numbers (with links): beginning Word God Now, here's the insertion of the definitions into the text: "In the beginning [at the point of origin] was the Word [the spoken word, a decree or a thought out plan], and the Word was with God [a god or goddess], and the Word was God." There are at least three heresies that come from using the definitions as I wrote them above. The Jehovah's witnesses interpret the last section of this verse as "and the word was a god. They use this as one of their foundational heresies that Jesus was not the eternal God, but that He was "a god." The Mormons also believe that Jesus is not God but that He is "a God." They use the same definition to show that the Greek Theos can refer to gods, godesses, and even angels. Finally, the Church of Christ in the Philippines (Iglesia Ni Cristo) deny the divinity of Christ. They further deny the Trinity. They use the definition for Word as meaning "plan." Their interpretation of this verse is that Jesus Christ did not exist at all in the beginning, but that He existed as a mere thought in God's mind. They believe that "In the beginning was the plan..." So you see how over-reliance upon these definitions can lead to serious doctrinal error. I don't believe that this is your intention here at all. I think that you simply want to apply the word line by line to your life. Sister, there is nothing wrong with that at all. But you may be doing yourself more harm than good in the process. In the process of leaning too much on man's work, instead of the Bible, you may be leading yourself into serious error. And, in fact, it already seems that you are. Actually, I'm not seeking deeper meaning in the scriptures. And natural men have misinterpreted many verses, and have expeced me and you to just simply believe their interpretations without checking out what they said behind them. I must disagree that Strong was a natural man. Any man who has spent enough time with the scriptures to write a 1546 page book that is printed smaller than newspaper print is no longer natural, but spiritual, born again. To do so, he had to rely on the bible to find the words he defined. And yes, natural men use the Strong's, whom was given his authority by the Lord God. You said, Strong's is intended to enhance Bible reading, and deepen a believer's academic understanding of the language and its ussage. Strong's DOES enhance Bible reading, and enhanced Bible reading deepens a believer's faith and faithulness, if he is serious about his walk with the Lord. Academia on the other hand is like the whale's belly, trapping the Holy Spirit inside the man who tries to "climb up" some other way than his baptism in the actual name of Yeshua. It causes man to SAY and not DO the word of God. And I may never understand another langage. That's why God had the scriptures translated into mine. I have not used the Strong's as an aid to translate the Bible for me. Maybe it would help if I tell you how it came about. That way maybe the rest of you will not be tempted to put your words in my mouth. In 1990 the Lord called me out separate, though I did not understand that at the time. By June of 1991, I had read the Bible through four times, and had begun again. As I was driving the truck with my husband, I had plenty of time to read when he was under the steering wheel. In July of 1991 we bought the Alexander Scourby KJV on cassettes. And I very swiftly discovered that it can be heard every 52 waking hours. We listened to the whole bible 25 and 1/2 times that year. And I've been spending 14 to 16 hours per day with the Lord in that way ever since, for going on 13 years now. That is the ONLY bible training that I have ever had, just me, the scriptures, and the Holy Spirit. That is what being baptized in his name really is. And unless organized religion wakes up and repents and becomes baptized, there is no hope for them. The things that I have been posting are true, and do not change the verses. It only draws a paralel. As for someone changing the scriptures, do you know why the book of Jasher was not included in the translations we have today? I don't either, but it should have been. It is the book that Joshua and David studied from, (Joshua 10:13 and 1 Sam2:18) You might be surprised what the KJV left out. That sort of thing is why Yeshua warned us that if we are not more righteous then the scribes, we will not see the kingdom of heaven. I've said all of that so that all of you might understand this. I am using the meanings in the Strong's to help to convey to others what the Holy Spirit has already taught me. Seeing that the whole world believes that we are living in the last days, we don't have time to debate whether we should climb up academia, becoming baptized in the name of whoever founded the schools, or be baptized in Yesha's name straight from the scriptures.

  23. I am reminded that this thread is the effectual work in the story of the woman at the well. Jesus came to her as she was in this very state of sin. She was just as well in a state of bondage, because she had not been told the Truth. She was held captive by a doctrine that did not free her from sin, and a doctrine that was passed down to her through the traditions of men. Isaiah
