MT 2:17 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, MT 2:18 In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not. Strong's; Jeremy - h2408 - whom Jehovah has appointed prophet - g4396 - in Greek writings, an interpreter of oracles or of other hidden things, one who, moved by the Spirit of God and hence his organ or spokesman, solemnly declares to men what he has received by inspiration, especially concerning future events, and in particular such as relate to the cause and kingdom of God and to human salvation ............ Rama - 4471 - a hill Rachel - 4478 - ewe or sheep When read with the meanings; MT 2:17 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by whom Jehovah has appointed (Jeremy) the one who, moved by the Spirit of God and hence his organ or spokesman, solemnly declares to men what he has received by inspiration (prophet), saying, MT 2:18 In a hill (Rama) was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, ewe or sheep (Rachel) weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not. How does this apply to me? Logos is the written word. To some extent, the letter, the written word, kills the meaning of what is written, stripping the content of the message of body language, things such as tone of voice, facial expressions, and tears. Ramah is the spoken word. It carries with it the body language that bring the words to life. In this present generation, the mouth of God, the voices of the authentic prophets of God, sounds like a whisper compared to the roar of the "Herods" of organized religion. God appointed Yeshua to be his Prophet, his organ, God's mouth or spokesman. Yeshua has solemnly declared to men what he received by inspiration from God, appointing them also to be prophets of God. Without quoting Yeshua word for word, Yeshua has told the people that when God calls the kingdom of heaven out of performing his chosen fast, the mountain of false prophets and their followers will be told to depart from him. The prophesy of Jeremiah the prophet will at that time be fulfilled again, on a magnified level. In a hill, a mountain of the spoken word (Ramah), a voice of lamentation and weeping and great mourning will be heard. Rachel, those who had been deceived that they are the sheep of the Lord will be weeping for their children. And they can never again be comforted, because they are not the sheep of Yeshua. These will have discovered too late that they were DEAD IN CHRIST, deceived, a dead tree who had never known Yeshua, but had believed that they were in Christ because some false prophet had told them they were.

MT 2:16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men. Strong's; Herod - g2264 - heroic Bethlehem - 965 - house of bread When read with the meanings applied; MT 2:16 Then heroic (Herod), when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in house of bread (Bethlehem), and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men. How does this apply to me? When the genuine body of Christ goes into the self imposed

MT 2:15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son. Strong's; Herod - 2264 - heroic Egypt - 125 - double straits (the printed Strong's says - a siege, dual limits of something hemming) When read with the meanings; MT 2:15 And was there until the death of heroic (Herod): that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of double straights (Egypt) have I called my son. How does this apply to me? When we fast the chosen fast of God as an entire body, whether family or congregation, we each break every yoke that we are personally responsible for having put upon another member of that body. Each man lifts every heavy spiritual burden that he has placed on another man. Each person lets the man he has been oppressing go free. The whole congregation body takes every step given to us from Isaiah 58:6 through the whole list of instructions. And while they are doing all of this, the spirit of Herod dies out from among them. When we go into this siege, we are young children in Christ, but when God calls us out of such a fast, we are Sons of God. The fact that God called Yeshua out of Egypt through calling his caretaker out of Egypt is type and shadow of God calling the body of Christ out of having performed his chosen fast to it's completion.

MT 2:14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt: Strong's; Egypt - 125 - double straits (the printed Strong's says siege, dual limits of something hemming) When read with the meanings; MT 2:14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into double straits (Egypt): How does this apply to me? Like other stories in the scripture, the reports of events in the life of Yeshua are type and shadow examples for the body of Christ to follow in the procedure of the growth of Yeshua's kingdom. God had commanded Joseph to "Arise". God's command to all men and women is, -- YOU rise up! Stop waiting for me to do what I told YOU to do! --Those among us who have matured, wholly conformed to the will of God, are commanded to take this young church wide salvation, and their rebellion against false doctrines who mothered him, into a deliberate diligent dual siege. That stronghold breaking siege is the chosen fast of the Lord, found in Isaiah 58. And the entire congregation is supposed to stay in that Isaiah 58 fast until the Lord calls us out of it. The reason that we "go by night" is that until we understand what we are doing and the effect it will have on us later, we are "in the dark"about it, uninformed.

MT 2:13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to let him add Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for heroic Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. Strong's; Joseph: 2501- let him add Egypt - 125 - double straits (the printed Strong's says siege, dual limits of something hemming) Herod - 2264 heroic When read with the meanings applied; MT 2:13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to let him add (Joseph) in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into double straights (Egypt), and be thou there until I bring thee word: for heroic (Herod) will seek the young child to destroy him. How does this apply to me? God protected the wise men through their obedence to do as God had told them to do. The husbandman is the shepherd, the caretaker, the leader and adviser of the body of people, whether small or large. The verse pictures God as the shepherd of all men, and Joseph as the husbandman of their rebellion and her children, under God's instructions. We are to let God add "all these things" after we have sought and found the kingdom of heaven. In the growing and strengthening process of a Christian family, or church congregation, the husbandmen are commanded by the Lord to take their rebellion (the mother of salvation) and her children (the entire body of salvation) into a self imposed siege until the Lord calls them out again. This siege is supposed to have dual limits. Surrounding themselves with a spiritual barrier, nobody is allowed out. On the other hand no other people are allowed in. The body of the family, or congregation, have deliberately put themselves under siege because the Lord commanded it. Obedience to follow this advice will protect that family from the enemy during the time it takes for this work of the Lord to be accomplished. I remember all the times I took part in self imposed sieges with a congregation of the religious. We called it fasting and prayer. The fast that we fasted was the abstaining from meals of food during the period of time that we were in prayer. As I recall, most of the people who participated went right back into one spiritual prison or another immediately after the fasting and prayer had run it's course. That tells me that we had not done what we were supposed to do.

MT 2:12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way. Strong's; Herod - g2264 - heroic When read with the meanings applied; MT 2:12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to heroic (Herod), they departed into their own country another way. How does this apply to me? The verse says that God, instead of a messenger of God, warned the wise men in a dream not to go back to Herod. Therefore they did not go through Herod to return to their own country. This would have been what the medical field calls a lucid dream. It is the kind of dream that is experienced as though the events in it were actually happening. The Lord warns those who listen to him, when someone who will separate them from God has crossed their path.

MT 2:10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. Strong's; saw - g1492 - ... to perceive by any of the senses ........ to turn the eyes, the mind, the attention to anything, to pay attention, observe ........ to ascertain what must be done about it ........ to know, get knowledge of, understand, perceive of any fact, the force and meaning of something which has definite meaning MT 2:10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. How does this apply to me? When I turned my full attention to the enlightenment of the Lord, I saw the baptism in his name. I understod it for the very first time. I understood that I must be saturated I everything that parthians to his the mention of his name, baptized in every piece of information that I could find about Yeshua Christ, because therein is true salvation baptism. My rejoicing is great and unending from that day forward.

MT 2:9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. Strong's; heard - 191 - ....... consider what is or has been said, to understand, perceive the sense of what is said ............. to comprehend, to understand MT 2:9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. How does this apply to me? When I took the time to actually consider what has been said from the pulpits of religion, and at the same time began to understand the scriptures, I perceived the sense of what they are saying. Immediately I departed from organized religion, and greater and greater enlightenment stood over where Yeshua the young child was as a child, compared to where Yeshua the man was when his time had come to reveal himself to the world.

MT 2:8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also. Strong's; Bethlehem - h965 - house of bread diligently - g199 - to know accurately, to do exactly, to investigate diligently worship - g4352 - ......... expression of profound reverence, to make obeisance, whether in order to express respect or to make supplication When read with the meanings applied; MT 2:8 And he sent them to house of bread (Bethlehem), and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also. How does this apply to me? The religious heros of the world would send me to search diligently for Yeshua, the young child. They would have me to seek the knowledge and understanding of the young child, the amount of knowledge Yeshua had before he had his experience at the temple at the age of 12 years. They would have me to witness to them the knowledge of Yeshua the young child, and if I should find the knowledge and understanding of Yeshua the anointed man, they will silence that knowledge as quickly as possible, to prevent me from overthrowing their wicked leadership. But all the while they say and do not do the worship of God that they say they do.

MT 2:7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. Strong's; Herod - g2264 - heroic privily - g2977 - secretly diligently - g198 - to know accurately, to do exactly, to investigate diligently When read with the meanings applied; MT 2:7 Then heroic (Herod), when he had privily called the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. How does this apply to me? Wise men seek the Lord. But in this present generation, the authentic Christian appears to be very foolish in the eyes of organized religion. When the heroic religious leader, while looking at the Christian through the eyes of the world, sees what to him is the non- Christian behaving foolishly, he calls him to the side in private. Not realizing that he is speaking to a genuine Christian, he rebukes the Christian in secret. The implication is that this priest did not teach the Christian these "out of the box" conceptions, so he had best stop being foolish and fall back into step with traditional theologies. The priest has not realized that he is the one who has been deceived, believing merely the things another man has taught him, and never experiencing the Lord for himself.

MT 2:6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel Strong's; Bethlehem - h965 - house of bread ofbreadbread Judah - h2448 - he shall be praised least - g1646 - ...least in size, amount, of management, in importance, in authority, of commandments, in the estimation of men, of persons, in rank, in excellence: princes - 2232 - a leader of any kind, a guide, ruler, prefect, chief, commander, sovereign ...... come - g1831 - metaph... to be made known, declared....emitted as from the heart or the mouth... Governor - g2233 - to rule, command, to have authority over, ...... leading as respects influence, controlling in counsel, overseers or leaders of the churches Israel - h2474 - he shall be a prince of God When read with the meanings applied; MT 2:6 And thou house of bread (Bethlehem), in the land of he shall be praised (Juda), art not the least among the princes of he shall be praised (Juda): for out of thee shall come a leading as respects influence, controlling in counsel, overseers of the churches (Governor), that shall rule my people he shall be a prince of God (Israel). How does this apply to me? Bethlehem is not the smallest in importance of cities, because the only human being who was both naturally and spiritually begotten personally of God was born there. Judah and Israel were the descendants of brothers, and they split apart after Solomon died, having a king who inherited the throne of Israel, and appointing a king for Judah. Yeshua the Governor, leading as respects influence, controlling in counsel, overseer of the leaders of the churches, was both a descendant of Judah and of Israel. If I am diligent to eat the mental house of bread that I find by meditating the scriptures in worship of God, then I, and those in my household through me, become the house of that bread. That bread IS the name of Yeshua, because everything told there leads to him. When Yeshua's influence governs me, my influence governs those in my household until they also come under his personal leadership. And when every member of the so-called body of Christ today chooses to be governed by him, they shall become the genuine princes of God.

MT 2:5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet, Bethlehem - h965 - house of bread Judaea - g2449 - he shall be praised prophet - g4396 - in Greek writings, an interpreter of oracles or of other hidden things, one who, moved by the Spirit of God and hence his organ or spokesman, solemnly declares to men what he has received by inspiration, especially concerning future events, and in particular such as relate to the cause and kingdom of God and to human salvation, .................. When read with the meanings applied; MT 2:5 And they said unto him, in house of bread (Bethlehem) of he shall be praised (Judaea): for thus it is written by the one who, moved by the Spirit of God and hence his organ or spokesman, solemnly declares to men what he has received by inspiration (prophet), How does this apply to me? The priests of organized religion advise me according to the words written in this verse, the "surface" of this statement. They tell me that my new birth in Christ JESUS will take place through the bread that religion uses with which to worship God. However, personal observation of the people inside the walls of religion reveales to me that they do not have the salvation of God that they have deceived themselves they have. In fact they invite sin right on into the congregtion with them, and not only allow the sin of one to defile the whole body, but allow the sin of many to desecrate the whole congregation. If they were truly baptized unto salvation, wholly conformed to the will of God, they would never let that happen. The prophets of the Lord, whose advice is found in the scriptures, advise me according to the meaning of the words in the verses of scripture. This kind of advice is like the pearl of great price, plowed up from underneath the rows of words in this majestic "garden of life" that we call Holy Scripture. They advise me that I will find the Kingdom of Heaven and his righteousness, if I will put my hand to the plow and not turn back. When I am plowing up advice upon advice, advice upon advice, line upon line, line upon line, here a little and there a little, not even the priests of organized religion can take from me the knowledge and understanding that the Lord gives to me through it. And this too was written by the prophets of God.

MT 2:4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born. scribes - g1122 - a clerk, scribe, esp.a public servant, secretary, recorder, whose office and influence differed in different states in the Bible, a man learned in the Mosaic law and in the sacred writings, an interpreter, teacher. Scribes examined the more difficult and subtle questions of the law; added to the Mosaic law decisions of various kinds thought to elucidate its meaning and scope, and did this to the detriment of religion. Since the advice of men skilled in the law was needed in the examination in the causes and the solution of the difficult questions, they were enrolled in the Sanhedrin; and are mentioned in connection with the priests and elders of the people, a religious teacher: so instructed that from his learning and ability to teach advantage may redound to the kingdom of heaven Christ - g5547 - anointed When read with the meanings applied; MT 2:4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and men learned in the Mosaic law and in the sacred writings, interpreters, teachers (scribes) of the people together, he demanded of them where anointed anointed(Christ) should be born. How does this apply to me? The people who were the most troubled, when they heard that I was seeking the anointing (Christ) that is in Yeshua, were the pastor (the chief priest) of the church I attended at the time, and the board members (scribes) of his church. They gathered together to discuss me, and demanded of one another whether Christ had been born in my heart. It was decided among them that I had not found the Lord. And when I insisted on searching for the Lord outside the pastor's protocol, but according to the protocol I had begun to find in the scriptures, I was told by the pastor that I was not a member of that church anyway.

MT 2:3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. Herod - g2264 - heroic heard - 191 - to be endowed with the faculty of hearing, not deaf to hear, to attend to, consider what is or has been said, to understand, perceive the sense of what is said, to hear something, to perceive by the ear what is announced in one's presence, to get by hearing, learn, a thing comes to one's ears, to find out, learn to give ear to a teaching or a teacher, to comprehend, to understand troubled - 5015 - to agitate, trouble (a thing, by the movement of its parts to and fro), to cause one inward commotion, take away his calmness of mind, disturb his equanimity to disquiet, make restless, to stir up, to trouble, to strike one's spirit with fear and dread, to render anxious or distressed, to perplex the mind of one by suggesting scruples or doubts Jerusalem - h2414 - set ye double peace When read with the meanings applied; MT 2:3 When heroic (Herod) the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all set ye double peace (Jerusalem) with him. How does this apply to me? When the worldly "heros" I encountered in my personal life had perceived the sense of what I had told them about my own turning to the Lord, they were troubled. It perplex their minds, beause it suggested that I had scruples, and they had none. It showed that I had doubts as to whether I and my religious friends were always doing according to the will of God. When I was in their presence, they were agitated, and everyone was agitated with them, including me.

MT 2:2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him, Strong's; King - g935 - leader of the people, prince, commander, lord of the land, king Jews - g2453 - he shall be praised worship - 4352 - .......... in the NT by kneeling or prostration, to do homage (to one) or make obeisance, whether in order to express respect or to make supplication, used of homage shown to men and beings of superior rank When read with the meanings applied; MT 2:2 Saying, Where is he that is born leader of the people (King) of the he shall be praised (Jews)? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him, How does this apply to me? Mary's conception of Yeshua was immaculate. The Holy Spirit spoke to her that she was the virgin that he had chosen to fulfill the prophesy of Yeshua's birth. Mary believed what the Holy Spirit said to her. And in response to Mary's believing God's divine word to her, the womb of Mary's body filed up with new life. The mental conception of the wise men about Yeshua was immaculate. Their ability to imagine or understand was undefiled by the thinking process of other men. Regardless of what religious men may say about astrologers, they could not have known that the prophesy of Yeshua's birth had been fulfilled except that the Holy Spirit had revealed that to them. And they must have at least known of that prophesy, because they came to Jerusalem to ask the priests the location prophesied. My own mental conception of Yeshua, my ability to imagine or understand, must also be immaculate. My thinking process must be undefiled by the thinking process of any other human being. I have come mentally into a quiet and peaceful place to ask the New Testiment, "Where is he that is born leader of the people?" Because from a long way off, I have seen his enlightenment (star) rising up(east) among the people. And if I had not deliberately come in here to worship Yeshua, I would not have understood anything about him at all.

MT 2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Jesus - h2424 - Jehovah is salvation Bethlehem - h965 house of bread Judaea - g2449 - he shall be praised Herod - g2264 - heroic Jerusalem - h2414 - set ye double peace When read with the meanings applied; MT 2:1 Now when Jehovah is salvation (Jesus) was born in house of bread (Bethlehem) of he shall be praised (Judaea) in the days of heroic (Herod) the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to set ye double peace (Jerusalem), Applied to me; Yeshua was born in a city. And I am born spiritually in the house of bread, the house of he shall be praised, who is Yeshua. At one time I had hought this to mean that I am spirituslly born in the house of the bread of worship, which I was taught meant going to church. But now I understand that the spiritual bread the disciples ate was Yeshua personally teaching them the things that I learn from the New Testament. That bread has been passed down from Yeshua to Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, Peter, James, and all the others who have written down the experiences they had first had with Yeshua. And every bite of it is forever in the house of the savior that I praise. My salvation in Yeshua, and therefore in God, is taking place in the days of cruel presidents and kings who like to be looked upon as heroes. And behold, look at the informatin from every possible point of view. There are even now wise men coming from the east, coming from their own rising up from sleep among organized religion. They are gathering together in order to set, permanantly establish, double peace firmly in her appointed place once again.

I really didn't expect anyone to have much insight about most of Matthew 1. Usually a long list of names is not much more than boaring. But there is nothing in the scriptures that does not interest me as a study. Having worked my way past the genealogy, I hope more of you will participate in this thread. I read in another thread a suggestion that each poster post before he read. Seems like a good idea. That way we might all see that we are agreeing more than we think we are. Also the Matthew 1 thread is open for discussion now. Thank you for your input.
