  1. Hi Zayit, I have spent the last 2 years changing from a greek thinking christian to a Hebrew thinking Messianic Beleiver. I hardly recognise myself these days compared to the man I once knew that is how big an impact the Paradgm shift can have on our lives. Greet all the Mishpochah at the other Forum you visit for me Shalom, Mikhail ben Gino
  2. Can you cite concrete examples? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hi Shiloh, if you are asking this of me I thought I did in my original post. Children this is gender neutral term that makes one think that it is addressing neither a male not a female specifically but in the original text it is just about always ben or son(s) of Israel. Some would argue that this is minor but with egalitarianism currently eroding and destroying the Patriachal teaching of scripture it is important if it was not so sublte the generations before us would have noticed it but it was so smal and subtle that over the last century things that the go on in congregations today most of the founding fathers of moderning pentecostal congregations would genuineley be shocked, but then some of them prophesied of the worldy anything goes church but I digress to much. Translations have always been a good way of gradually manipulating the scriptures by justifying a few degress of change but as any captain will tell you a few degres of change can actually produce a ship wreck. Shalom, Mikhail ben Gino
  3. How I wish many protestants would learn and understand from Martin Luther. Regardless of the your views of ML doctrines in the light of 400 years of ongoing restoration, one thing that he knew was the dangers of Catholicism and the Papacy lessons that many particularly in the Pentocostal movement are so apparently ignorant of these days with many rushing towards ecumenicalism and accepting the money of the Vatican and bowing their knees when they get an invitiation to go have a presence with the man who claims soverignty not just over Catholocism but also Protestant Christianity. Shalom, Mikhail ben Gino
  4. Hi, my point is that corrupting albeit subltle ones will in due course have us arrive off course from our intended destination. That is a Trust in Elohim that is not what was intented my our Father or Messiah Yeshua. The other point is that the corrption of the english language and their subsequent use in our english translations actually lends itself to egalitarianism by replacing and minimising the distinct gender inferences of the scriptures by introducing neuter gender language when the original text demands a gender inference. As has been observed in the past the best desceptions are so subtle and appear so benign that the the masses would never guess that poison that it can produce in the course of a generatio or 3. Shalom, Mikhail ben Gino
  5. Children, Wife Marriage Marry and Pesons. what do all these words have in common with many if not all english translations? They do not exist and so therefore are bordering if not an outright manipulation of the initial text in Hebrew. Children in the Torah is always actually tranlated sons as Hebrew is a gender language so a Neuter does not exist in the original. Wife is Woman as is marry and marriage. examples: she bacame his wife - she became his woman .... She was married - she became the woman of ... Tell the children of Yisrael - Tell the sons of Yisrael these besides the coruuption and redefinition of many words of the english language has been gradual but has actually resulteded in rewriting the meanings of the scriptures in our modern understanding. Persons is the worst as it is translated from the word nefesh meaning soul so quite literally if a translator was consistant could result in a cow or animal being a a person What are your thoughts? Shalom, Mikhail ben Gino
  6. Hi All, I was wondering if any Familiar Faces From Christian Forums are here? Shalom, Mikhail ben Gino
  7. Well I consider myself Messianic though I am without a shul at the moment . Shalom, Mikhail ben Gino
  8. Hi All, My question is this. Is confession of receiving Christ proof of repentance? Mat 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with [their] lips; but their heart is far from me. Shalom, Mikhail
  9. So who is the Elect? I look around at what calls itself the church and it does not look very pretty full of harlotry, idolatry fornicators (translated dating sex), and the like all of which the NT says will not enter into the kingdom of heaven, fi someone says they are his, but they live like an unbeleiver and claim forgiveness and then go right out and do th same thing for years and years on end. I cannot see these as belonging to the elect of Elohim at all. Shalom, Mikhail
  10. It really depends on the circumstances if the Man put his wife away and then remarried I do not beleive that he should be a shepherd/elder/pastor of a congregation. If the man cannot be faithful to his wife how can he be faithful to his calling and the flock of God. However if she left him and then he remarried and he did all he could to save the marriage then I beleive that he has proven himself faithful to his covenant of marriage. Shalom, Mikhail
  11. Hi Imamon, not an easy situation but it seems that you have received much Grace to deal with this. Until he issues a divorce to you it is as Paul says if a woman seperates then let her be as she is or be reconciled with her husband. That seems unliekly from your description, if he divorce you then you would be free to Marry, but only in the Lord. May God continue to guide and lead into his will. Shalom, Mikhail ben Gino
  12. Hi, Yes he makes a lot of claims but with the little that I have read about this man and the way her interacts with other ministries even the ones that agree in part with some of his claims (which btw are not original to him or his ministry). He seems ready to pick a fight with anyone and everyone who does not accept him without question. I see a strong tendancy to Nicolationism and unquestioned authority at work. That said the major issue is that their actually are prophecies related to Judah and Israel. You need ot study the scriptures deligently as sometime it uses Israel to denote the Northern 10 Tribes at other times it is using it to describe the whole of Israel understanding the chronological timelines does help in doing this. Their is also the prophecy were YHVH says that he will join the stick of Judah to the stick of Ephraim (used as idoim to mean the 10 Northern tribes). For the record I do not accept the 2 house theory as presented by the ministry mentioned but I do concede that their is an aspect to the scriptures that are mentioned that begs an answer. Shalom, Mikhail
  13. What is it that makes you think the Church has surrendered control over the marriage covenant to the State? Can you be a bit more specific? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> "...by the power vested in me by the state of ______, I now pronounce you man and wife" In this it is clear that ordained Ministers are deriving their authority to marry not from God but from the State Legal System. In a Marriage ceremony their is usually several parts, the public declaration by the man and the woman before their family and community to be husband and wife Then usually the congregation are asked to talk amongst themselves whilst they sign the marriage licence. This legally and publicly confirms that was is happening is a seperate procedure, to fulfill state legal requirements. Mikhail
  14. Hi All, I am intersted in exactly when it was that the Church handed over or perhaps it was surrendered to the State control over the covenant of Marriage. Regards, Mikhail
  15. Then on post 97 you say, The act of adultery is wrong regardless of the whether it is the man or the woman You are misunderstanding my words here, and there is no contradiction. I was clarifying that fact that if the women was married it was adultery for her and for the man it was adultery whether or not he was married or not because of her maritial status. Pretty straight forward to me. Scenariosu Below. 1. Married Woman with Single Man = Adultery for both 2. Married Woman with Married Man = Adultery for both That is all I was trying to point out. Regards, Mikhail
  16. Jesus said that the Foundation of the Torah and the Prophets was on these two commandments. 1. Love YHWH you God and have no other gods before him. 2. Love your Neighbor as your self. Paul said that All scriptures is God breathed and usful to teaching and training in righteousness. He was hardly referring to the his letters that he wrote last year to the churches, but he was referring to the Hebrew Scriptures wich most call the OT. It is on the basis of the Torah and the Prophets that the NT scriptures were inspired so if anything it is using these that gives clarity to the doctrines and teachings of the Apostles. Shalom, Mikhail
  17. Learned Men? Perhaps but if you would care to put forward your understanding how the scriptures define the the difference between Adultery and Fornication or which to give a scriptural basis rather than basing your arguments on the experience of Learned Men as you call them. Shalom, Mikhail
  18. I am with you on that Jen, what is the difference eggs or crosses they are both symbols of pagan heathenism that goes back at least 3-4 thousand years. I recognise the event of the cross in that the symbol of pagan idolatry was used to crucify my Lord. But that does not change the fact that it was and still is a symbol of pagan idolatry. Mikhail
  19. I agree totally with you. Which of the 10 commandments do you break? The act of adultery is wrong regardless of the whether it is the man or the woman. Where I think we differ is that I say as is defined by the scriptures that Adultery is sex with another mans woman (wife) I do not care whether the man is single or not it is Adultery and that is exactly what he whole counsel of the scriptures defines adultery as. Which is as you say clarified in the 10th which reinforces my point. Regards, Mikhail
  20. If you are referring to me in that reference My wife indeed is dating a minister that used to be at the congregation that I started going to after she left me, and that before she even had a divorce from a secular court . And no I am not going out with any woman let alone shacking up as you put it, or do you aiutomatically assume that because I defend true intepretation of the scriptures that I am somehow trying to defend some sinful way in my lifestyle. If so? You are wrong in this case. Shalom, Mikhail
  21. I agree completeley with you that it is Lust, which by definition is selfish. I never said that a man sleeping around with single woman is ok as you infer I did. He is a fornicator and he needs to repent of his fornication. I am not treading on thin ice as you say, I you are taking what I am saying to mean something that I did not say. Jesus condemned fornication just as he condemned adultery this we are in agreement with so I do not understand you accusing me of re interpreting scripture. Regards, Mikhail
  22. You have not read my post this is hardly surprising as you said you were to busy to respond adequateley . The point is not who instigated it as you said, but the maritial status of the woman. If she is married or betrothed it is adultery whoever instigates it. If she is neither married nor betrothed then it is fornication regardless of who instigated it. Mikhail
