  1. I am so happy that your eyes have been opened. Praise God and welcome to His world. NowHisScientist (????)
  2. I have never seen it but thanks so much for asking. I do love polls.
  3. agreeing with Nebula, Smiles, Eagles and Ron. BTW good point made Ron.
  4. There was a time when I prayed for a specific person all the time. At a point I really got the impression that God was telling me that is enough. I haven't completelyl stopped praying for this person. God seems to place it on my heart when He wants me to pray for that person.
  5. I was referring to Tess post #4. Suppose without that it really doesn't make sense. It's a girl thing.
  6. Hay, I remember the 70's Mealballs.... .....nose bleed stoppers....... .....mom used them as a diaper for my baby bro once to......those girly things sure do come in handy......once I saw a pair of slippers made of them......
  7. Yep, I sure do. It was "meatloaf".....without the tomato sauce.
  8. You make me laugh Tess. My uncle used to come to our house with *things* he picked up for my mom because he found them on sale.
  9. I was hearing this talked about on the radio as I was coming to work this morning. I will keep all you worthy gulf coasters in prayer.

I would if I could but 35 miles one way is a bit to far.
  11. This was a very interesting question that prompted me to surf the net. I found this. http://www.btgh.org/sermons/sermon_detail.cfm?ID=35648
  12. At the church I attend there are a lot of adults involved in the Middle and Sr. High youth group. These two groups meet on Sunday evenings and if I were to take a guess I'd say there is probably a ration of 1 adult to 7 youth in the Middle school group and 1 adult to 4 youth in the Sr. High group. I do not know about the elementary youth group because they meet during the week and by the time I get home from work and drive 40 minutes to church there would only be maybe 15 minutes left so we don't go to that. Also in a church that is near home where one of my daughters attends their Sr. High youth group the adults work with the kids at a ratio of about 1 adult to 5 youth. My daughter has grown very fond of the adult leader in her small group and even has telephoned her a time or two. In both churches there is praise time, bible study time and group discussion time. In both churches I have found that the adults who are involved with the youth are very attentive and willing to drop whatever they are doing when one of the youth is in need. I feel God has blessed me with a wonderful home church and a wonderful closer to home church. I never realized that it was not like this everywhere. I truly feel blessed.
  13. There's a songs with the words "They'll know we are christians by our love" I've never heard the song "They'll know we are christians by our denomination" I'm glad that the people I know who are Catholic do not look down on me because I am not. I'm glad that the people I know who are Baptist do not look down on me because I am not. I'm glad that the people I know who are Pentecostal do not look down on me because I am not. I'm glad that the people I know show that they are christian by their love, not their denomination. Likewise, I will love them back as a christian, not a denomination. Sad to see the thread coming to this. By the way Kansasdad, the community where I go to church has interchurch groups. I've seen nothing but mutual respect in these groups regardless of denomination. Sorry you've had such a rough day.
