  1. I consider my self a paleo-conservative, or as our polititions refer to as an isolationalist but I'm suprised that there is not more talk about Ron Paul on this thread. For Christians, he seems to be an easy choice just for the simple reason that he is for states rights to have laws not overwritten by the Federal Government. If a state votes to not allow abortion of innocent lives, no abortions would be allowed in that state. I don't think big government is the answer and never has been. In the last 100 years we have seen our government get wayyyy too big. I couldn't belive it when I heard Glen Beck say that we sould not take the Constitution all that serious because it was written when they used black powder in our weapons, what a liberal bafoon in disguise! (not saying all liberals are bafoons, I just cant name one I like.... maybe Nader, but he doesn't seem liberal to me, maybe because he's not a politician voting on things, but everyone calls him that) I do belive that neo-cons originally came from the left or "progressive side" Please don't confuse conservative view points with neo-cons view points. I also don't belive we should have a President that allows borrowing money from a communist contry that supports state mandated abortions.
  2. Another reason why Ive been confused about going into Iraq instead of Saudi Arabia, the hijackers were mostly saudis right? Even if people say we went to war for oil, why take the 2nd or 3rd largest amount, go for the largest oil supply, Saudi Arabia. To me they are the poster child of islamo-fashist.
  3. Yes. Shhhh, don't tell them. It will not only break their hearts, it will take away some of their campaign lies. Yea like "we're going to do something about abortion" we have control of the Congress, the Senate, the Superior Court, and the Presidency. O, wait a minute
  4. Look kids... it's a paranoid parade.

  6. Most High, Thank you for all your posts on this subject. I agree!!!
  7. I'd like to add that I hoped that the legalization of marijuana would have started with the legalization of industrial hemp. The world could greatly benefit from this reusabe source of energy (hemp oil) and how it could help save our enviroment.
  8. I do not see a legalization in marijuana from a stand point of being able to tax it like tobacco or alcohol simply because it can be grown by anyone anywhere for personal use. As far as being a gateway drug I have a hard time pinning that on marijuana. I think that it is the life style that is the gateway for addiction.
  9. Thanks Jamie That was a great article. The only thing I have seen "conservative" about the current government that represents us is the "pro-life" attitude. Can you imagine if Slick Willie would have spent even close to this amount of our childrens future. True conservatives have great ideals that could help our nation but our current government is terribly liberal with wasting money. I believe Christians are more liberal than conservative in the way they want to help other people but the "pro-life" issue has them voting for people that do not represent the "What would Christ do?" attitude. My favorite line from the article has to be "What a racket"
  10. My wife and I already boycott Wal-Mart as much as possible!!! This is just another reason. Go to thier store late at night. CHINA is written so often on so many boxes it's really GROSS!!!
  11. Nope Cheneys. He's the one in charge. Good cop,, bad cop.
  12. What polls do you watch?? Daily Show? CNN? DUh, did you ever lack faith that George & Dick would be re-elected?
  13. More and more protestants are going to realize they voted for JERKS just because they openly appose abortion. All the other "common sense" ideals will lead to further separation between people, unlike the "inclusive of the rejected" life Jesus lead. Now what has been done about the abortion issue? Nada
  14. Dick Cheney Boy! Highest ranking, elected by the smart people, Free Mason in the United States of America! Sorry Bush Sr., you had your turn.
  15. Aren't ja glad America votted in an oil man so the problem ain't worster than it is!!
  16. Does anyone know about this "Able Danger" military unit? Why is this not on the "liberal" or "conservative" media programs? What is the explanation that Arlen Spector R-Pa., wants America to be told? Please follow this with me and comment if you have news. Thanks!! Pentagon Nixes 9/11 Hearing Testimony By KIMBERLY HEFLING, Associated Press Writer Wednesday, September 21, 2005 Printable Version Email This Article (09-21) 15:41 PDT WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Senate Judiciary Committee chairman said Wednesday he would look into whether the Pentagon obstructed his committee by refusing to allow testimony from five people who had knowledge of a secret military unit named "Able Danger." They were expected to testify Wednesday about a link between al-Qaida and four of the Sept. 11 hijackers

  19. Pray often & do not let guilt keep you from this. Even if you know you are not being successful at overcoming adversity. A problem that I have had to deal with is feeling hypocritical to God. I wasted too many years thinking that an open sinner, like myself, praying to God was as offensive as the sin. Try to look for a reason to pray. I pray in the morning to start my day before I travel to work & with my Wife to bless our dinner. If your not in the mood do it anyway, being repetitive is better than nothing. Jesus didn't mind talking with the sinners in His day I sure he has not changed.
  20. I bet a single mom could pass the test.
  21. I have not understood why they would not let prisioners smoke ciggareetes at established places & times. After this I'm really puzzeled. It seems to me the whole sneaking around thing is of more detrament to thier spirit then the health concerns. Why they would use Bible pages for papers seems strange, thin paper would seem to be readily avalible without as much ink. Even toilet paper would be better. Give the prisioner some type of duty or job that keeps his mind and hands from being idle should be the focus in my opinion after reading this, not taking away their tea & Bibles.
  22. If a Democrat President was in office during the beheading of Americans AND not showing up to a disaster in a timely (3 days) manner, I would be ticked off. It is not hard to understand the concerns growing in America.
  23. I don't know??
  24. Do not be boastful at a time like this. No one needs to know how much we are doing for the people that are suffering a terrible loss. I am so proud of the out pouring of compassion that has been shone by the people of Texas, and the rest of the world. Let us continue to have mercy on the affected people and the families. It would be a nice thing if the different states that are helping in the relief did not look for repayment. Charity is a wonderful thing to see, hear, and of course participate in.
