  1. I am praying for you Kay.  Always remember, no matter how far you think you drift, Jesus loves you!  God wants good things for us, but the "good" things we do or even the "bad" things will never change His love and devotion.  An authentic relationship isn't about good deeds, it's about fellowship, continue to talk to God about everything, let Him know your struggles, your concerns and just keep believing, never stop!

  2. Hi Everyone, thank you for praying, and please continue it has been a rough few days.  I don't have a diagnosis, they are not sure what's happening.  I was having intermittent severe shooting pain in my eyes.  Then the tissues inside the eyes sockets got inflamed and then the blood vessels broke in my right eye, and mildly in the left eye.   I now have two black eyes (skin outside of eyes), again no idea why.  I couldn't open my eyes without being in agony.  I had to wear very dark sunglasses and keep the house very dark for several days.  I'm just now getting back to normal the severe shooting pain is gone, but there is something not right, things are still quite sore and uncomfortable.

  3. What is your favorite means of transportation?:

I love the kayak, floating on the water, getting so close to the banks, a completely different perspective.  You can gauge your speed, or you can just sit and just take it all in, the Glory of God in His creation.  Where I Kayak, you can row up to different docks, dine, visit friends.  Would love this to be my main mode of transportation.

What was your favorite class and your least favorite class in school?:

Art Class was my favorite for one reason, the art teacher believed in me, encouraged me, saw in me what I didn’t have the courage to explore.  He made a huge difference in me by showing me how to recognize the talents God gave me, and to ignore comparing my gift to others . It’s been 36 years since I’ve been out of high school, but I still think of Mr Lang.

Least favorite was English Comp.  I loved writing, but my teacher compared me to my sisters, she would make fun of me in front of my other classmates for my topics.  They were usually Christian in nature or my feelings of self worth and how I viewed the world. I had this teacher for three years, all different classes. I would get physically sick to my stomach when I had to go to her class.

God redeemed my high school experience through my art teacher.  He protected my love for writing from someone that couldn’t appreciate my unique point of view.

Who do you find to be the most interesting person mentioned in the Bible:?

I must state an interesting female and an interesting male, because they equally astonish me beyond belief.

Hannah:  This woman wanted a child so desperately, she wept before the Lord and Eli accused her of being a drunkard. She has this much wanted, beloved child and takes him back to that same priest that was unkind to her for him to raise her precious Samuel.  That is trust, dedication, absolute selflessness, true to her promise to her God.

Paul:  I want to ask Paul how he forgave himself and went on to be one of the greatest proclaimers of Jesus.  How does one do that so completely? He threw away his old nature, his religious thinking, his own agenda so naturally.  His forgiveness of himself through Christ had to be the reason he could go on with the purpose of his life, never wallowing in the trials of his faith.

What is your favorite fictional book, story, or movie?  Why?

It was a book that I read to my daughter, The Little Engine That Could.  Oh how my daughter loved that book, it was on her mommy reading list every night for years.  To tell you the truth, that book wearied me at the time, same old story over and over again, but I didn’t realize then how God would work that book into my future life.  My daughter grown and in college calls home in desperation and I quote from two books, the Bible and The Little Engine That Could. She’s married and faces being in a wheelchair the rest of her life and again I quote from those two books.  I rummage through the bookshelves here at home and find the book, along with a favorite stuffed animal and I send it to her, yes I sent these tokens of childhood to a woman in her early 30’s and like they did when she was a child, they comforted her.  After a serious car accident when I had to relearn how to do life I encouraged myself in therapy from the Bible and that annoying book that I read endlessly to my child.

Who was the person who gave you the most encouragement in life?  What did they do for you?

Hands down my daughter.  She loves me unconditionally.  I made a lot of mistakes raising her, but God took what I sparsely planted and grew her into the most amazing individual.  I often tell her that I’m blessed to be her mom, but I more blessed that I get to know her and have her in my life. She loves from a pure place, gives encouragement that is not superficial, she forgives naturally, and she truly sees in me the redeemed finished product God Himself sees.  You read the words of a very blessed woman!

Try to give up everything for Jesus..

Following Christ for many years, I find I gain so much more than what I have ever "given up".  And the things that stand in the way of my relationship with God, I don't need to "try" because I will fail, I require, absolutely need His help through the process.

If you have dogs and the weather is hot fill empty plastic bottles with water, freeze then remove the lid ( in case they swallow it ) and give it to them ( outside ) It provides fun as they chase it and cools them down when it is hot

If you freeze 2 liter bottles or gallon milk jugs, remove rings and lids, and lay totally frozen on their side in a large enough container so that the melting ice will be contained, it will give your animals fresh water while you're gone for a few days.  (Don't leave this as their ONLY water source)  *elevation of the bottle will allow all of the melting water to slowly flow into the bowl or container

  6. I have been interested in buying an Air Fryer for well over a year now.  I want it mainly for non breaded chicken breasts, fish, hamburgers and vegetables.  Does anyone have one?  If you do, what are the pro's and con's especially the cons.  What wattage is best?  Brand?  Easy to clean?  I have had gadgets in the past like a table top grill and rarely use it because it's more difficult to clean.

  7. He has a large meat and potatoes belly so he felt he being overweight caused him to get out of breath.  His weight has been going up, he was not aware that it (weight meaning total weight as seen on a scale) was fluid build up, there are other symptoms that now make sense that can't be shared here publicly.

... but no noticeable swelling until recently?

Truly puzzling, so I'm praying for someone to put this together.

He has had swelling that went away after a few days, but he's one of those "never complains" types.  He only admitted to his wife the day of the trip to ER that he's been having pressure in his chest and getting short of breath, but assumed it was because of his weight.

I've never heard of this in someone so young; my father had his legs swell in his eighties!

    Praying!

Joe, I haven't either, but according to my sister that is a cardiac nurse, it does happen even to children.  It was found that he has right sided heart failure and the left side is enlarged because it's doing the work for the right side.  Testing continues, in search for a good cardiologist, they may have to travel here to Pittsburgh.

That's is good praise God. Can he drink fresh veg juice like carrot and green juice ? Made from a juicer not store bought. They have healed heart problems and people with heart failure over time after months of drinking them everyday. Read Daniel how good can make a big impact on our bodies.

I will relay the message, thanks Wayne

  11. Josiah is in need of continued prayers.  He saw two more doctors this morning (Feb 2) and a specialized test has been ordered (no idea when the test will be given) but somehow something caused his heart to enlarge and to go into failure, but hard to diagnose because they can't find fluid around his heart and/or lungs.  What is believed right now is that the edema from the heart failure has caused valves in the blood vessels in his legs to malfunction and believe this will be a permanent issue.  They also believe that this fluid caused a malfunction in his lymph vessels so this is a twofold problem causing his legs to swell.  Right now he is only on lasix (fluid reduction medication), compression stockings, a diet change and elevation of both legs.   Josiah is only 33 years old, please link prayers with our family for a miracle.

Thank you, I will continue to update as I hear new details.
