  1. Hi guys, my name is David and I saw this thread and felt led to share this. Once that a Christ follower realizes that everything is about God's Grace and His love for us, everything comes in much clearer. He gives us Grace for free, no amount of work we do can earn that. Sometimes though I think we as Christ followers miss the point. It is ALL about His Grace and love and the relationship that He wants to have with us. I just got back from taking my youth group to Americamp in Bradenton, Fla. It was the experience of a lifetime and that was a big part of the camp. It's not as much about realizing how much we love God, but when you finally come to grips with how much God loves you, then you truly begin your way to understanding His purpose. God Bless, David
  2. Hello, I have been a baptist since I was saved in 1989, and I have always been taught that you are saved once you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior, and that baptism was an act of obedience, although not required for salvation. The Church of Christ points to Mark 16:16 where it says if you are saved AND baptised, you will have eternal life. I have done both, but for others it may be a confusing point. Thanks for any input! God Bless, David
  3. I know I'm new here, but this sure doesn't sound like a disccussion you would find on a Christian message board. Calm yourselves and remember who is in control!
  4. Daughter of King, Well, The first thing that comes to mind is God's commandment; Thou Shalt not kill. Also, we are to live our lives as Jesus would, and know that Jesus would not approve of this procedure. Yes, the Lord would take care of that babies soul, it's the person that did the act that I would really be worried about. I have seen an actual abortion take place( on video) and it is nothing but Satan's work! Hope that answers your question! God Bless, David
  5. Thanks for the reply Bolts, I too have lost my earthly family due to my relationship with Christ. I was raised in a Jewish home and to say the least my father has not accepted the idea very well. I just lost my grandparents last year and they were Jewish as well and never accpeted Christ. I'm just so grateful I have all the family I need through Christ the King!!!
  6. I agree. What we go through now is nothing compared to what our early brothers and sisters faced. Just thought I'd share my experience. Also. what we will face in the coming days will as well be catastrophic. Stay firm in your faith no matter what!
  7. Hello all, I think I finally experienced a little of the beginning of the hatred of Christians that Jesus said we would go through. I was at work yesterday and a worker of mine said, " you know, those Christians are trying to stop the drug that would get rid of a baby resulting from a rape". I said," well, you mean me too right?". I then asked him if it was meant to be taken after conception and he said yes. I said well it is abortion then which under ANY circumstance is wrong. You could just feel the hatred and disgust coming from him. I pray for him daily that the Holy Spirit will convict him, it was just that that was the first time in my Christian walk that I have encountered that. I'm also sure it won't be the last! In His Service, David
