  1. I know many Catholics who are wonderful examples of Christ, I just question a lot of what the RCC does, I wouldn't go as far as saying they are evil, I just think they are off in certain ares, but they do a lot of good in the community.
  2. Prior to this experience, or experiences I thought my faith was strong, but after coming out of it, my relationship with G-d is so much closer. In times of suffering, if you make it through you will be rewarded, and I recieved the greatest reward, a close relationship with our creator.
  3. First off, I was not seeking Christ then, I had already believed, accepted, and been transformed. I was very happy with my Christian faith, and then BOOM it hit. Every night I confessed my sins (and I still do) I was in the word, thought I was doing everything I was supposed to do to be Christ-like. My family as far back as we can remember has been Catholic, my mother was the one who took us to a baptist church, and to a evangelical(sp) free church. No one has been with JW, Mormon, or any other cults, or witchcraft. It is something that I have to deal with, with G-d by side of course, and like I said I believe that evil has some hand in this, but medication was the only thing that worked. I can't count the number of nights that I cried out to G-d for this suffering to the point of physical sickness (vomiting) and there was no relief. I wont even try to explain G-d's motives with us, but I now know that he was with me all along, if he wasn't I would have killed myself long ago. Something like 85 plus percent of the homeless population suffers from some form of schizophrenia, if medication would help most I have no idea, but it would make things easier on them if they had easier access to these meds. Believe me I hate taking them, but without them I have to be hospitalized.
  4. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,13...1811332,00.html This is a Terrible blow for the Catholic church, in my eyes. I don't agree with a lot of what they do, but to call G-d's Word not completely acurate is completely unnaceptable.

Quick question, why is that Christians are mainly attacked for their belief in Genesis, why aren't the Jews also standing up for this?? I'm sure they do, I just haven't been exposed to it.
  6. I doubt it, if anything were to happen I think terrorists would do it.
  7. This is very personal to me, but I feel I need to share it: When I was 18 I had a huge breakdown, I was seeing, and hearing things that were not there, it never went away. I have been a Christian since I was about 15, I didn't go to church at the time, but I prayed and read the bible regularly. At age 17 I got sick, voices, and hallucinations(sp) were present at all times, I had to go to the hospital on a number of occasions, and THE ONLY thing that made it go away was medication. For years I cried out to G-d to relieve this suffering from me, and at the time I had thought he abondened me, but he provided me resources to get on medicine again, and a medicine that worked fully. I have been without these symptoms for about a year now. I am not saying that this was just a brain disesase, I am sure Satan was responsible to some extent, but only the meds worked. For years I went to Church's, pastors, had people pray to get these things away, I would yell at night in Jesus' name leave me, but they still didn't. In fact when I went in to Church, or read the Bible these things would increase, that is where I get that Satan had a hand in this. The voices would constantly tell me how horrible I was, and that G-d hated me, and would never forgive me for seeing the things I was seeing. I used to see Jesus in church, with his stomach slashed, and his insides coming out, and the worst part was I would see horrible perverted things refernced to G-d. Why I had to go through this, I will not know untill I see G-d face to face, I do not question His motives one bit any more, and I hold no grudge against anyone, sometimes people have to suffer to move forward in their walk. This is the case for me, I have never been closer to G-d than I am right now, and nothing can move from the foundation G-d has placed me.
  8. Born of the Seed of the Woman Gen. 3:15, "And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel." Matt. 1:20, "But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit." Born of a Virgin Isaiah 7:14, "Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel." Matt. 1:18,25, "This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary...was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit... But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus." Son of God Psalm 2:7, "I will proclaim the decree of the LORD: He said to me, "You are my Son today I have become your Father." Listen to whatever Sarah tells you, because it is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.'" Luke 3:23-34, "Now Jesus himself was about thirty years old when he began his ministry. He was the son, so it was thought, of Joseph, the son of Heli...the son of Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham, the son of Terah, the son of Nahor," House of David Jer. 23:1, "The days are coming, declares the LORD, "when I will raise up to David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land." Luke 3:23-31, "Now Jesus himself was about thirty years old when he began his ministry. He was the son, so it was thought, of Joseph, the son of Heli...the son of Mattatha, the son of Nathan, the son of David," Born at Bethlehem Micah 5:2 "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times." Matt. 2:1, "After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem." He shall be a Prophet Deut. 18:18, "I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him." Matt. 21:11,"The crowds answered, "This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee." He shall be a Priest Psalm 110:4, "The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind: 'You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.'" Heb. 3:1, "Therefore, holy brothers, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom we confess." Heb. 5:5-6, "So Christ also did not take upon himself the glory of becoming a high priest. But God said to him, 'You are my Son; today I have become your Father.' Matt. 27:37, "Above his head they placed the written charge against him: THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS." He shall judge Isaiah 33:22, "For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; it is he who will save us." John 5:30, "By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me." He would be preceded by a Messenger Isaiah 40:3, "A voice of one calling: 'In the desert prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God.'" Matt. 3:1-2, "In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the Desert of Judea and saying, 'Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.'" Rejected by His own people Isaiah 53:3, "He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not." John 7:5, "For even his own brothers did not believe in him." John 7:48, "Have any of the rulers or the Pharisees believed in Him?" His side pierced Zech. 12:10, "And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one mourns for an only son." John 19:34, "Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus' side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water." Crucifixion Psalm 22:1, Psalm 22:11-18, "For the director of music. To the tune of "The Doe of the Morning." A psalm of David. My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?...Do not be far from me, for trouble is near and there is no one to help. Many bulls surround me; strong bulls of Bashan. Dogs have surrounded me; a band of evil men has encircled me, they have pierced my hands and my feet. I can count all my bones; people stare and gloat over me. They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing." Luke 23:33, "When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified him, along with the criminals -- one on his right, the other on his left." John 19:33, "But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs." John 19:23-24, "When the soldiers crucified Jesus, they took his clothes, dividing them into four shares, one for each of them, with the undergarment remaining. This garment was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom. Let's not tear it, they said to one another. "Let's decide by lot who will get it." This happened that the scripture might be fulfilled which said, "They divided my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing." So this is what the soldiers did." Psalm 22 was written long before crucifixion was practiced, or heard of. If this is not evidence enough, I do not know what to tell you. I will be praying for you my friend. Shalom
  9. I could ask you that same question, why hasn't the "true" messiah come yet?
  10. Because Yeshua is to come again, and when he does those things WILL happen. A thousand years is butr a day to G-d, he is outside time.
  11. I guess you can't use the D word in here....
  12. I thought that once you had the Holy Spirit in you, you cannot be attacked by demons...what you were experiencing is a lot like what I was going through, but only medication got rid of it for me.
  13. I dont think you are nuts at all, can you tell me more about this little girl?? If not, I will try to find out more on the net. Shalom
  14. What is the Ephraim theory, and what do you see wrong with it?? I have heard them speak of 2 houses.....what is the truth behind this?
  15. I dont want to get too personal, but what sort of things happened??
  16. What he believes is the foundation of todays Jewish church, they don't take in to consideration the second coming of Christ, when they saw him die, that was the end of it for them, he was a fraud in their eyes. To convey the writings of the New Testament as false is utterly ridiculous, even the best writers ever to live could not fabricate a HUGE tale, and not make one mistake whatsoever in doing so. The mathematical odds of all new testament books, writen by people in different places, and times, and being completely accurate with each other being fabricated is 1: you have to be out of your mind.
  17. I have to partially disagree with you, there are certain factors that can happen to children that can make them act out, but the environmental factor is by far the biggest. How the child is raised says a great deal about how they will be when they are older, the way you were treated as a child is most likely the way you will treat your children. This isn't always the case, but I have seen it a lot. There are exceptions though, like schizophrenia, downs syndrome, retardation, and so on, we have no say in that, these diseases are present, but not a majority. We can get in to a whole other topic here, speaking of Schizophrenia, I have a lot of experience with this disease, would you consider this demon possesion(sp) or a brain disorder?? Hearing voices, seeing things, believing you are the Messiah, or the Antichrist are key aspects of this disease, is this a human or spiritual battle?? Shalom
  18. Is Satan capable of going after a child?? I have no idea on that one, I thought that Yeshua said truly the kingdom of heaven belongs to them, but I am sure he was using a parable. Yo ne se...
  19. What a friend we have in Jesus, that is by far my favorite song of all time. Aretha Franklin gives me goosebumps at times.
  20. Christianity, if used properly, is the greatest contributor to positivity there is, to mock such a thing is either complete ignorance, or someone trying to make a quick buck slandering a group of people. Why isn't this a hate crime??? If this shirt was directed at Jews, Muslims, Hindu.... it would get huge media attention, but we are not of this world, so let them have their fun, while it lasts.
  21. I try to show love to every human on this earth regardless of backround, but I do have a problem when they put Mohammad above Yeshua, Mohammad is but a speck of dust, compared to Yeshua's mountain. I love Muslims, I just dont agree with them.
  22. I completely changed when I accepted Christ years ago, but the shyness is still there. In no way am I ashamed of my G-d, I just worry that if I start talking about Yeshua, it will do more harm than good. I dont care whatsoever what people think about me in that aspect, I will proclaim my faith from rooftops, I just have troubles in getting the conversation going. I do my best to live a godly life, I fall short, but that is my human weakness.... I will look at that site you provided, and try bringing my Bible out with me in public. Thanks you guys.
  23. When I think of the 12 tribes of Israel I consider them to be Jews, and Gentiles alike. When I say Jews, I mean people with Jewish blood who have accepted Christ, when I said Gentiles will be Jews, I dont mean blood line, I just mean that in G-d's eyes we will be equal. Like I said the 12 tribes will be followers of Yeshua, the "Jewish religion" denies Yeshua as Messiah, and if they continue to reject that, they are not part of these tribes, no matter what their blood is. A lot of this is new to me, so please be patient with me thanks
  24. Well the pastor continually states that we recieve salvation through faith alone, which I agree with completely, it's just at times I get a little concerned when law comes up, because if we rely on law alone we are screwed. I am not committed to this church yet, I will feel them out for awhile, I know I will never find a perfect church, but if they start condemning me for chosing to eat pork, or not observing all the feasts there will be some problems.
