  1. There is forensic evidence that Jesus was indeed very dead when removed from the cross. Because of the shortage of qualified coroners I would have to say shortly before the Roman soldier pierced His side releasing the water and blood from the pericardium surrounding the heart. Where the heck are those CSI guys when you need them? And no one thought to collect a DNA sample to compare it to at that time. After Christ was removed from the cross he was placed in a sepulcher, fearing that the body may be stolen the religious leader begged Pilate for a Roman Guard, I believe consisted of 10 fully armed soldiers highly trained and the best in the world at that time. Failure of duty meant certain death for these soldiers. Chances of Jesus just walking out in the morning with a fine howdy do to the Roman Guard is highly unlightly. And the chance for a handful of fisherman over powering those same Roman guards just as unlightly. Apparently these fully armed professional Roman soldiers fell into a state of shock at the appearance of an angel. Whether shock or even falling asleep they would have been punished severely if not put to death for failing in there duty to keep the sepulcher sealed and secured. Irish
  2. Greetings all, I always come back here when I have a tough theological question as there is a lot of wisdom here. I appreciate your input. Anyway here is my question. If creation was completed on the 6th day and most of us were born in the 1900
  3. I just wanted to thank everyone here for their impute into a very difficult question. I am a forum leader in the spirituality section of Unexplained-Mysteries, and whenever I get stumped by a question I return here, if I cant find an answer in what is already posted you people are a treasured resource. Keep up God's work and blessings to you all. Yours in Christ Irish
  4. When you get the time can you show me were Paul says this clearly? I agree that we are saved by Grace alone however this is not a question of salvation. Grace does not excuse us from ignoring or changing what God has said, it only protects us from the consequences of such action. It should be a natural response to grace to honor the day God set aside for Himself. Irish
  5. Exactly my point! So when and why and by what authority (the scriptures are the only authority we have) was it changed to the first day of the week? Yours in Christ Irish
  6. Those are good examples why Israel is to keep the Sabbath. It is not my intent to condemn those that worship on Sundays. I just want to know why and when most Christian
  7. I agree that we should worship on a daily basis with or without fellowship; however the Sabbath was a special day devoted entirely to God at His request in the commandments. Jesus did not ask us to change this Holy day. He even instructed us to keep the commandments, so why do we except this change. Irish PS I will check out the other thread, my apologies to the mods, feel free to merge them if you think it best!
  8. I have a question that I can not find an answer for. The forth commandment is to
  9. Thank you apothanein kerdos thats exactly the kind of stuff I needed and right before Christmas, I shall concider it my Christmas present! God Bless Irish
  10. Leonard, please tell me about the historical evidence you speak of here of perhaps a link. Arsonist, you make a very good point with the persecution and death of the Apostles. Tess, I will put those books on my Christmas wish list, thanks. LarryT, I feel it is very important to address each and every question asked of us, for if we show weakness in our reasoning how we can show strength in our faith. My personal belief does not allow any doubt of Christ
  11. I have not been here long enough to ask a question in the controversial section of the forum so I will ask it here. A movie whose purpose is to prove that Jesus Christ never existed and that demonizes Christian fundamentalists is scheduled to open on June 6, 2006
  12. You would never appreciate the sunshine if it were not for rain.
