  1. I've never suffered from depression (but I think I have come close), but the way I deal with adversity in life is to look around and see that no matter what has happened to me, there are others who have had to deal with far, far more. That is a good reality check right there. Compared to the lives of some of the people I know, my life is a walk on the beach.
  2. A friend of mine married a guy much younger than herself. She's almost 36, he just turned 22. It works great for them. Age really shouldn't be an issue. Give it a chance.
  3. 25 is old only if you're willing to let it be old. I'll be 48 in six months and I don't think I've slowed down at all since I was 25. Perhaps when I hit the century mark I'll take time out for a nap.
  4. Mine also, CFS. Thank you for posting those verses
  5. I attended BSF from September 2004 until May 2005. The course of study was "Acts of the Apostles". I had read the Bible on my own but had never been in a formal study. It was a new experience for me, to say the least. It's designed so that you answer questions on a daily basis, so there is a lot of reading involved. It's a good study if you have the time for it. I went on Tuesday nights. It was a fifty-mile round trip. Worth every mile of it.
  6. I chose mine as a tribute to the space shuttle crew we lost in 1986.
  7. I let my past experiences be my guide, and tell myself that if I survived those, I should be able to endure everything else. Besides, being fearful of a lot of things is pointless. There is so much in life beyond my control so I don't worry about it. It won't do a bit of good anyway.
  8. With the way I drive, I'll use it to go on a road trip
  9. Hmmm. . .all of this brings to mind that old adage: "If you want to have a friend, you need to be a friend. It's difficult. It can mean taking a chance on being rejected. But you don't know until you try. That can be the hardest part of all. . .giving someone a chance.
  10. My big (and I mean BIG!) 20 pound cat has knocked over our Christmas tree. Now I use a filament line and secure the tree top to the ceiling.
