Id see russia eventually siding with the west on this issue, but china wont ever. china needs iran for its oil, its desparately hungry for all the energy it can lay its hands on. Russia can make due without iran if push comes to shove - plus russia has more ties to the west. china tries to make its economic ties contrary to the US.

That passage shows the Lord at his strongest. Here he is being killed, and he asks the Father to forgive them for his murder. His entire life was an example for us to follow. He didnt even hold a grudge against those who were killing him. Thats what that passage is about.

the reason I ask is that the bible isnt that clear on rapture and such. There are a few versus alluding to it, and we try to make doctrines out of that. So the fact that ANY side could be wrong is always possible. Its not God being wrong but us. It wouldnt be the first time people expected something different from the bible - see Jews and Messiah

I'm split on this one. On the one hand I know that no peice of media, no matter how well crafted, can ever stop someone from knowing God. On the other hand, I do not like anything that lies about the Lord - its insulting or worse to him. So while I know that in a spiritual sense its toothless, it is horribly slanderous.

he is gonna be a gigantic mistake. He will not rule from his heart ever - he has said as much already. A judge that will not see the humane side of the law isnt that good of a judge. I might even go as far to question if he is really christian. He has asserted that he will not let his Christian views interfear or influence his decisions on the court. He cant be holding that strongly to God if thats the case.

Have any pre/mid-tribers ever considered what they would think if it turned out they were wrong and we were raptured post trib? Or conversely, if your a post triber, what you would think if you could be told that pre-trib is right? Would it shake your faith if the antichrist was knocking on your door to take you away and you were still here?

Its not that simple Smiles. Jesus said following him would be pain. He said to be ready to hate your mother and father. In todays terms, if its easy - its not worth doing. Some of the best Christians led miserable lives - that doesnt mean it was punishment for thier sins. God tries and tests all of us. Though it may not always seem so at the time - he does so out of love so that he can help us to grow spiritually.

2Cor12:9 ....My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.... This was said to Paul after he was crippled and there had been multiple attempts on his life. Lean on Jesus. He can help us most at our weakest, because we no longer try to rely on our imperfect strength. Vent to him, he will always listen.

One thing to consider is without people witnessing, everything God does in the trib to glorify himself would fall on unknowing ears. It wont accomplish its effect if the actions arnt being attributed to him.

I'd give one last effort with the pastor- present him with the passages where Jesus says he is the only way. Only through him. One example is matt11:27. If he no longer agrees with these passages, he shouldnt be pastoring a church.

this article seems to have some misnomers in it. It says they are moving 11 families, a few houses. There is nothing about moving the entire city. nor does the article mention why they are being moved. The reason could be tied to safety reasons - a new military outpost, inability to protect those houses due to thier location, all sorts of things. There is very little fact (on the current events side) in this article, so read it with a grain of salt.

but this administration strives to keep news agencies from knowing whats going on. How many times has the administration expresssed its distrust/hatred of reporters. Paul speaks about the Elect. They are those chosen by God before time to be his children. Only those chosen - the elect will be saved. You need to tread carfully here though when applying this. From our perspective, it doesnt have too much application in our daily lives. Since we have no way of knowing who the elect are and who isn't, we must assume everyone can be saved.
