Hello Giaour, I don't think it's arrogant at all to believe in the Genesis account of creation as being all there is here within the world we live in at all. I think just the exact opposite that it is arrogant of the human race to take the theories of the scientist over the biblical account of creation given to us in Genesis chapter 1. For it is the scientists theory that there are other solar systems in the universe and other suns I on the other hand believe there is only one sun and one solar system within the world God created for mankind to live and dwell in. You might want to go back and read post #69 in it's entirety as I went into depth while talking with the person in that post using scriptures pertaining to "terrestrial" and "celesstial" beings. Hello Tari, I'm away right now on my job so I'm catching up here as I've found a computer to use briefly. I want to thank you for your response to this thread and for sharing your experience. I just want to say that there are many things that we see or catch a glimpse of that we can't point to it and say this was this or this was that because we really can't identify what it was we thought we saw. That is what a UFO stands for a Unidentified Flying Object. This does not necessarrily have to be space alien aircraft to fit into the UFO class of objects. You simple don't know what you saw you just are saying you witnessed something strange. This does not mean you are a kook. On my job I have to travel around airports and I've seen military aircraft the shape of triangles and let me tell you they move like lightening and when they turn on their sides you can barely see them and it looks like a straight black line at this time. So it wouldn't be strange or odd that it was military aircraft that you saw at all. And the demonic attack you say you went through was probably just as you say the devil playing tricks on your mind trying to get you to believe a lie instead of believing in God's word because the devil likes to get us all caught up and living in fear because fear is the opposite of faith. It sounds like you have a pretty good head on your shoulders in recognizing the enemy's tactics. "For with God all things are possible" the gift of prophecy and the gift of prophesying is contained in the bible as well as the gift of a prophet is also in the bible. So stick to your study in this arena. For all three of the spiritual gifts I've mentioned all include the gift of insight given to them by God. For one cannot speak forth in any kind of message about the future events that are contained in the bible (being "prophecy" that I'm talking about here) unless God gives to them the interpretations, knowledge or "insight" petaining to the future events that will happen according to the pages of God's word. One would need insight (SIGHT) from God to operate within this gift of prophecy for without insight from God you simply couldn't teach under the inspiration of the Spirit of God on prophetic events. And so many in our day does this very thing and they come up with all kinds of weird explanations regarding bible prophecy lacking any insight from God whatsoever. The gift of prophesying is different from the gift of prophecy. Prophesying requires insight from God as well as in the case of Samuel the prophet which you have been studying. God visited Samuel and spoke to him and gave him inside knowledge (insight the gift of sight seeing into the future) of what all would happen if the children of Irael persisted on wanting to set up a king like the other nations of the earth had done. Well the prophet Samuel obeyed God and went and prophesied (Spoke it forth under the direction and annointing of God) to the children of Israel and told them all the words God had given and showed him that would happen if they rejected him as being their king. Now why I believe in these gifts above and the word even tells us to "Despise not prophesyings prove all things hold fast that which is good" (1 Thessalonians 5:20-21)one must be very careful in these avenues because there are many out there who claim to have these gifts but in fact "do not" have these gifts. It is kinda like what the apostle Paul said when warning us about false teachers and the problems of unsound doctrine in 1 Timothy 1:7 where he said, "desiring to be teachers of the law understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm." This showing us that people have personal desires of their own wills within themselves to be teachers, but they don't have the gift they lack understanding and knowledge so they don't know what they are talking about when it comes to God's word. So to be a gifted teacher of God then God has to give a person the gift of knowledge and understanding in order that they may correctly teach and instruct others in the word of God. And so it is with the gifts of prophecy and prophesying there are many who desire those gifts but do not at all possess those gifts. We must beware of false prophets as well as false teachers so that we will not be lead astray by any errors of any kind relating to the gifts and calling of others. And so we ourselves will not be responsible in leading other people astray in our own errors as well within our giftings and callings from God. So I caution you in what you hear to pray and continue your study you are on the right path there, 1 Timothy 4:13-16 says, "Till I come, give attendance to reading to exhortation to doctrine. Neglect not the gift that is in thee , which was given thee by prophecy with laying on of the hands of the presbytery. Meditate upon these things give thyself wholly to them that thy profiting may appear to all. Take heed unto thyself and unto doctrine continue in them for in so doing this thou shalt both save thyself and them that hear thee." Hello miketaba, drinking bleach it is comaprable to knowledge in this way. The child does not have the "knowledge" they are ignorant of this fact that it will indeed kill you if you drink it. The parent can leave the child ignorant of the "evil" that will befall the child if he drinks the bleach but it will not stop the "evil" from coming if the child drinks the bleach they will or could die for a fact if they drink enough of the stuff. God has said within his word, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge" The knowledge you refer to in your previous posts that God kept us from in the garden of Eden by not letting us eat from the tree of "knowledge" of "good" and "evil". Well it is here in the garden that God warned his children to stay away from the bleach to start with because they'll die if they partake of the fruit of that tree and not only would they die but their "eyes" would also be opened to the good and "evil". They only had knowledge of "Good" before the fall their world knew (had no knowledge) nothing but "Good" evil did not exist. Which is the "evil" you are speaking of being in this world. Adam and Eve didn't even have the knowledge that they were naked until their eyes were opened after the fall and then they "knew" (had knowledge) they were naked and even God himself wanted to know who it was who told them they were naked. So blaming God for keeping back the "knowledge of evil" from us was a good thing not a bad thing as you suggest. For even you yourself are describing a world in which you live in as being evil as you see with your own eyes the evils that are abounding (growing) more and more within the world around us. You should read Romans 5:12-21 Well it has been abounding more and more since the garden not because of God not at all it is not God's fault in which you blame. You should read James 1:16-18 also. But the true one to blame for the evil in this world is overlooked by those like yourself who hold the views you have towards the world in which you live in and are buying into the very same lie as Eve did in the garden as if God was keeping somekind of secret knowledge away from them and she was gullible enough to believe the serpents lie as she was tricked about the so- called forbidden hidden knowledge. In the which the knowledge of evil is a knowledge that the world could have done without and one day I will live with all the other saints in a place where there is only the knowledge of good one again. no more crying, dying, sorrow, pain, and no more tears no murders no whoremongering, no rapists, slanderers, none of the evils of this world will be in that city. hello truespirit, I know what you mean about having the childlike faith I am still being amazed myself as I grow older in this life and that I know nothing apart from Him. Even though I'm an adult in this life I'm still a little child in God's sight and I have my fears and so on that only my Father in heaven can comfort and console as He continues to lead, guide and teach me things throughout this life. As far as the ministry of Shepherd's Chapel and the minister Ronald Murray is concerned unfortunately I am not aware of this ministry so I can't really comment on it. There is a movement in these end times that is building for these ET's to have been here from the start and created mankind by genetic manipulation. The event in Revelations is also a future battle yet to be fought within the end times. When the devil's kingdom the demonic realm in which we have to contend with will finally once and for all be overthrown forever. Thanks be to God. The angelic host God created, (whenever he did create it) is what is known as "terrestrial" beings or bodies. These are all of the angelic host of heaven that God created and some of those angels as scriptures tells us rebelled against God and left their first estate. Even Satan himself was part of that original angelic host before some of them rebelled against God. They are the "terrestrials" which means pert to heaven. The fallen angels (demonic realm) operate in the earth within the atmosphere around us. These are spiritual beings and they have spiritual bodies as God gave them one according to his choice as there are many different types of angels. Both the good and bad angels are "terrestrial" bodies that do exist. But we must not add into that body of the angelic host which includes the good and bad angels (bad angels are demons). We must not add things that are not scriptural. There are alot of falsehoods and a lot of nonsense being attached to the spiritual bodies of the heavens in which the bible speaks about. And these falsehoods bleed over into some believers wrong ideas about the after life, the resurrection among other teaching given to us in the bible. That is why they have added the word "EXTRA" to the word "terrestrial" that is found in the bible. The demonic realm which are all the fallen angels and Satan himself is included within this bunch as they are only a part of that "terrestrial" bodies that originally were created in the angelic host. The demonic realm is "terrestrial" bodies so the "T's" (terrestrials do in fact exist. But the "E's" (EXTRA-terrestrials) do not exist. The devil would in fact want us to believe this lie that there is "other" extra intellegent life out there so that we will seek out things apart from what God has given us. It is kinda of like the serpent did in the garden getting them to think that God was holding something back from them as he lied to Eve and told her that she would not surely die as her eyes at that time were closed to evil but after the fall her and Adams eyes were open and they knew they were naked as they then had knowledge of evil. The devil is the master mind at getting the human race to seek out other knowledge and beliefs other that what God has given to us in his word. We must be careful and not get caught up with the added things being interjected into our beliefs. The ideology that you are referring to I got out of the bible. If there is no one worthy enough then Jesus came in vain. Somehow I believe that the twelve apostles were worthy enough. Then I read in revelation about one hundred and forty four thousand that are also worthy enough. Am I misunderstanding what you are saying? It is all over the New Testament. Here are only a few that explain it. From the author of first Corinthians the second chapter verses four and five.

Actually, that is not what Genesis claims. Genesis 2:4 looks back at Genesis 1:1-Gen. 2:3 and says, "These are the generations(origin and history) of the heavens and the earth when they were created..." So in effect, Genesis DOES claim to be teaching "cosmology" in the first 35 verses. OK, so what can you learn about nebulas from the Bible? Or auroras? Or meteor showers? Or the planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune?) Or the dark spots on the Moon? Or sun spots? Or radiation? Or the chemical composition of the Sun? That's a good way of looking at it, and probably the best thought on this 'first day light' I've ever heard, actually! Although something that always made me wonder, if God had no heaven until the first day of creation.. then where was He before that? Surely He would have wanted a proper dwelling place to live? Hello Luke, Well God's ways are past finding out. For He Himself is the "Beginning" He is Alpha as we know things. Just because God had no heaven until the first day of creation doesn't mean he didn't have a place it just let's us know He created a place for us to dwell. As far as God's place of abode that he created in the beginning goes it is very much a part of the world in which God created for us to abide in. It was for us He created the heaven in which he resides in. The throne room is one I've visited many times as I brought my prayers and petitions to him and layed them at his feet and I've knelt in this life at the throne of heaven and received forgiveness of sin. And one day Luke you and I in the future will dwell around the throne of God we will dwell in the Holy City where the lamb is the "Light" radiating from around the throne of that holy city as it will have 12 foundations and each gate shall be a solid pearl and we will see with our own eyes and know further of the things that we now only know of in part which are to wonderful for the eyes and ears that we have right now to comprehend. Jesus said in my Father's house (which he created in the beginning) are many mansions if it were not true I would have told you I go away to "prepare for you a place" that where I am there ye may be also. The place of the Father's abode that He created for us the saints to dwell he created all the way back in the beginning of time and also made provision for us through his only begotten Son Jesus Christ. The shed blood of Christ in which Jesus had to go away for so that he could sprinkled it once and for all on the mercy seat which prepared the way for us to enter in. For Jesus indeed did prepare the way for all that will simply come and say yes to His Lordship. Hello Luke, I believe the light that God spoke into existence on the 1st day of creation that God had allowed it to shine into this world, was the very light that shone and radiates from around God's throne. God had created His place of abode on this same 1st day of creation along with the angelic host that also abides round God's throne. "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." The heaven it speaks of here is God's place of abode where he dwells where there is no night and it's not the heaven that was created on the second day of creation. For that is a seperate heaven as in day number one. But I personally believe it to be the light that is radiating from his throne that God allowed by his voice to shine into this world. I believe these planets play an important role in the changing of the seasons for they were created for that very pupose as is recorded in the genesis account of creation. But I do not believe that they revolve around other suns in the galaxy. Because in the genesis account of creation there was only "one sun" that God created not multiple suns but only one. So this theory I would say does not coincide with truth given to us or at least that is the way I see it. I agree that other forms of life could not exist likely even if they could because of the condition you mention in your post. Thanks once again and I've enjoyed chatting with you God Bless Openly Curious Okay, but look at the verses that we're talking about here (Gen. 1:16-18) "And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: He made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good." Now, if you really want to get technical, the Bible does not say that God created a "sun" and a "moon." The Bible calls them both "two great lights." Of course, we know that it's talking about the sun and the moon, right? And we can look to other verses in the Bible that tell us that these are, in fact, the sun and the moon. But the moon is not equal to the sun. It's not a "light" like the sun is. However, the stars are lights like the sun is, according to these verses. The Strong's gives two possible roots, one of which - Kavah - means "to burn or scorch." That sounds an awful lot like a sun to me. Also, if you look at some of the references to stars in the Bible, it's interesting that stars: 1) Are created bodies set into the heavens - Gen. 1:16-17; Psa. 8:3; 148:5; 2) Were appointed to give light by night - Gen. 1:16,14; Psa. 136:9; Jer. 31:35 3) Have numbers and names - Psalm 147:4 4) Are established forever - Psa. 148:3, 6; Jer. 31:36 5) Revolve in fixed orbits - Judges 5:20 6) Appear of different magnitudes - 1 Cor. 15:41 These I got from Torrey's Topical Textbook on Crosswalk.com. There are several other references which I did not post. The point here is to show that the stars are specific created bodies and that they need not be construed as being different than our own sun necessarily, even though they clearly have a different function according to the Scriptures. Hello Ovedya, The proper term as you say is the "two great light" Well the "greater" of these two lights was to rule the day it's purpose was to give us daylight. That is why God created the greater light to do and it has been doing it faithfully every single day since that time. The "lesser" of the two great lights was created to rule the night and we have had night faithfully ever since that time as well. One other purpose of these two great lights was to divide the light from the darkness. As God didn't want the darkness and light he created on the first day to shine all the time so he seperates them. Now as far as the lights that God created in the firmament as well on this 4th day of creation is concerned. The scriptures plainly tells us of their purpose as well. Being also to divide the day from the night as they would also aid in this division that God wanted between the light and darkness. They were also created for signs, seasons, for days, and years. And they were placed in the heavens by God so they would aid in giving light upon the earth. These lights I believe to be the solar system, Orion belt, milky way, constellation, like the planets venus, mars and such like. I believe that the "stars" he created also on this same day are an entirely different creation from the lights in the firmament I mentioned above that controls our wheather, seasons and the such like. Now logically just in simple observation of things. The "greater" light was the one created to rule the day and in the day time hours that is the light that I see everyday as this greater light rules. I do not see any of the other lights that God put in the firmament giving their light at this time for it would even be futile because of the brightness that the "greater" light is giving and radiating out to this earth. On the flip side at night time when the "lesser" light is ruling this is the time when I see the other lights in the firmament giving and shinning their lights to aid in division that God wanted between the day and night. Just seems to reason if the lights in the firmament were to aid the "greater" light in ruling the day then they would be present or I should say seen by us ruling along with the "greater" light in the daylight hours. But instead I've always seen them aiding and abeating with the "lesser" of the two lights at night being as they are at that time manifest to us as we look up and enjoy a beautiful sky at night. And "no" the moon is not at all equal to the sun "but" the moon is still a "light" as scripture has plainly told us it was the "Lesser" of the two great "lights" God Bless Openly Curious

And the teachings of our day do in fact teach that their are multiple suns as you say. But the creation account does not bear that out for it records for us that their was only one sun and one moon that was created the two greater lights that was to rule the day and night. Excellent points you have made in this regards The bible does indeed teach that God created mankind on this planet. It teaches us about the angelic host of heaven and also about the fallen angels as well (being the "terresterial" beings). The terresterial beings are the angelic host and are "pert" to the heavens. There are also "celestial" beings as well these are "pert" to this earth. The bible also teaches us this knowledge as well. And it is good that you stay aware about these things as they are some seriously wrong beliefs in this arena. I enjoyed reading your post as you have made very valid points. Hello Gerioke, Thanks for your response, Yes Satan is bound to this earth for he is the prince of the power of the air as is stated in the book of Ephesians. However this does not mean that there are other worlds out there. For the scriptures plainly tells us that In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. God did not create multiple earths but only one. The record of creation that God has given us in the Genesis account is accurate as God has indeed given His children the answers we seek. So if there are no other world out there but this one it stands to reason there would be no evil in a place that does not even exist. The New Jerusalem is right now in heaven (Hebrews 12:22-24 - "But ye are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all and to the spirits of just men made perfect. And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel"). When one gets born again there name is put on the roll book in the heavenly Jerusalem the Holy City of God. As the sacrifice of God's only begotten Son Jesus Christ was a more acceptable sacrifice than what Abel had sacrificed to God even though God had respect unto his sacrifice and accepted it and Cain's offering was rejected because his works were evil. The sacrifice Jesus made was perfect as Christ entered into the heavenly Jerusalem and sprinkled His own blood on the mercy seat in the Holy of Holies once and for all. Hebrews 9:23-24 says, "It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:" The things that the church does like record your name in a record book when you join a church of your choice is a "pattern" to us symbolically what has already taken place in the heavenly Jerusalem that is above. As the verses above show us and tell us that the tabernacle was and is only figures of the true church or tabernacle in heaven which is the Holy City, New Jerusalem, Mount Zion, Heavenly Jerusalem, The General Assembly, The Church of the Firstborn, are all other names that describe the New Jerusalem. Now even though the New Jerusalem is right now in heaven as these verse has told us this. There will be a time in the future which is during the 1000 year Millienial Reign of peace on this earth that the city of Jerusalem as we know it today will be the focal point as people will travel there all over to worship God and will even put on their pots and pans during this time the words "Holiness To the Lord". At the end of this 1000 year reign of peace Satan will in one more last attempt try to come and overthrow God's reign on the earth at that time. As God during the 1000 year reign will set up His government on this earth as the saints will rule and reign with Him. But Satan will come and fight or make war with the saints seeking to overthrow us. But God will destroy Satan and his armies with fire and they will not be able to prevail against God nor His saints. The earth will at this time be renovated by fire according to the epistle of 2 Peter 3:7-13 After all this takes place it is then that the New Jerusalem according to Revelation 21:1-5 that is in heaven right now will come down out of heaven to this earth as it will in that day be manifested or revealed to all. Revelation 22:1-5 "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold I make all things new, And he said unto me, Write; for these words are true and faithful." As you will notice it says "Behold the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be his people and God himself shall be with them, and be their God." The tabernacle in heaven is where God dwells right now and is the New Jerusalem the Holy City that will indeed be with us one day and be our permanent place of dwelling. As it will have 12 foundations you can read of the magnificence of the Holy City further in Revelation 21. God will dwell with us once again as He did with Adam in the cool of the day we will see Him as He is and He will be our God. Never to be seperated or made unclean again by sin. The concept of planets as we know them didn't even exist back then! And I agree about Ezekiels' vision - he was seeing the Lord on His throne with His angels. Hello Nebula, Thanks you so much for your response and the uplifting words by Petra, It's good to be reminded of our eternal home awaiting the believers just up ahead. I do believe the bible does hold the answer to this questions as to whether they are real or false. I think most people who really look further into the passages in the book of Ezekiel can and will come to the conclusion that it is not talking about a flying saucer which there are many who do hold to that view.
