I know! that part is killing me too if we wont be together in heaven.. but i don't know. I was thinking about, maybe muslums believe in the same god as we, only they believe in a different way.. Because i see a lot of resemblens in our religions... It can make sense or don't you think so? It's irrelevant why the TV was on that channel, but you are telling people "Don't watch this it's evil." You haven't once described why it would give satan any kind of foothold in our lives. Also, didn't you ask me to find references in the scripture that said books like "Harry Potter" were ok? If your convictions are strong enough there is nothing satan can do that can convince you otherwise. Things which affected me in that way (like Isis cartoons) had no affect on my sister whatsoever. She thought the show was cheesy and didn't care about ancient egypt or their religion. For some reason I did. Had my parents been aware of what was going on, they might have forbid us to watch that stuff because it was a stumbling block to ME. If I'd been like my sister, they would have just left us alone. Isis cartoons were meat sacrificed to Idols. My older son was very much like me. They may be nice, but their magic comes from demons" I knew he understood the truth I'd been filling him with all those years. I've watched him, he's a very strong christian. He debunked the Davinci code to all his friends after we watched the whole history of the thing on tv (I never read the book so had no idea what the big deal was). I didn't have to tell him what was wrong with it, he knew right off... My younger son got exposed to some things in a christian run daycare that I had not introduced his brother to at that age. I was no longer a stay at home mom due to a divorce and had to place him somewhere, that was the best option I had. I sat down to talk to him about it, he looked at me really funny and said "MOM, thats just a dopey story." he isn't even INTERESTED in magical thinking. He could care less. His sins run along the line of sloth and having a temper. I have trouble getting him to think about the more mystical elements of scripture. He's really concrete "do this, don't do that" and I fear he will become either a legalist or a pragmatist (he's now 12, the older boy is 16). Now I would not cause one child to stumble to give the other freedom, but at the same time, I think we need to remember that one person's temptation is anothers ... nothing. The whole concept behind the game YuGiOh is foreign to Christianity because it is eastern. Because of the obviously eastern/oriental themes, it may be a problem for some kids whose minds run along that line who like to find mystical meanings and what not. It might not be a problem for others. To me, its the same thing as meat sacrificed to idols. It might have come from the world, but it has no power in and of itself. If it causes sin, magical thinking or an overreaching imagination, yank the stuff. If not, worry about the post modern world view in schools, that's even more of a threat because they will GET those concepts while any religious references in Yugi will fly over the heads of most people. I agree with you about the cartoonsand alcohol and all rather being used as a vehicle for evil. Here's a story about something that happened 5 days or so ago. A 10 year old kid beated he's 7 or so months old brother to death. The kid was as cold as a cold blooded killer when they were interviewing him, they asked him,'' do you feel sorry?''he answered "no" Then they asked him " what were you watching before you killed him'' he answered" Jackie Chan Adventures((the animated cartoons) . Sorry to say this but you are wrong, since this are cartoons that children are watching, and this is the children that will grow up and at one point of another some will have high goverment places and many may end up with corrupted minds cause of this, I'll post a shocking story of something that happened yesterday orlike 3 days ago, just don't feel like posting it right now since I will read the news paper so I can exactly tell you the story as happened, and this story is involving some of our "Imagination cartoons" .

You would tell your children "Don't watch the "Wizard of Oz", or "A Christmas Carol", they're evil." You would actually say that "The Wizard of Oz" and "A Christmas Carol" are evil! I'm sorry but that's just silly. I don't think you've ever even questioned how evil these movies were until I brought it up. Sunday we should setup polling areas outside of a church and ask "Which of the following do you find evil" it can include Hitler, Harry Potter, Osama Bin Laden, and it must include "The Wizard of Oz" and "A Christmas Carol" then count how many people picked "The Wizard of Oz" or "A Christmas Carol." I bet so many more pick Harry Potter over those two even though they all have the same evil portrayed in them. Ask the priest even, or write a letter to the pope, and anyone who has ever written a book about how anti-christian Harry Potter is. Give them all the same poll and I assure you, very few, if any, will say "The Wizard of Oz" and "A Christmas Carol" are evil I think I make my point real clear, still don't get it? BTW I have thought of this for time, yes I still sometimes watch A christmas carol. But since I thought it was bad I didn't watch it last year, and not gonna this year since it was this year that I thought about it seriusly and how it while not direct evil but was in someway something bad for my mind. Although I am being sarcastic to mock those who think the cards are the images of demons, at least you got that one right :-) What exactly is a satanist image? If the platypus never existed, and I drew one, would that be a satanist image? Or does it have to look more evil? What exactly does evil look like? Hitler is evil, but what about a guy that looks like hitler? Is that guy also evil? Can't demons take any form? And if they can, doesn't that mean that it could take the form of Jesus? If it could take the form of Jesus, and you painted the demon (looking just like Jesus) would that then be a satanist image? Would that make all paintings of jesus satanist or just that one? How can you tell which ones were demons then? The argument with "A Christmas Carol" wasn't christmas, it actually had NOTHING to do with christmas. It had to do with me being 100% certain that no one would ever tell their child "You can't watch "A Christmas Carol" it's a satanic movie." The same thing with Wizard of Oz. I think the hypocricy is in allowing a child to watch a movie with witches, ghosts, and spells, yet the child can't play a simple card game. I would tell them not to watch it... What I mean, if something is evil, simply don't watch it, doesn't matter if your saw it your whole life and because you know it's bad you shouldn't continue watching or doing it. Basically anyone could say, I was not a christian all my life, but since I've spent all of it without being a christian, why should I stop my atheism and start with christianity?

Hello Mike and welcome to the boards I don't exactly understand your question but this is what I think you said. First off I'll base this believing that RCC is Roman Catholic Church since I never read this abbreviation So basically RCC believes in Faith and the need for good works to outbalance there wrong works(or deeds) . I could post some verses on this but can't remember correctly so I'll leave that to other members. So just wanted too know on the RCC thing before I make a complete post on this subject.

Ok here's my opinion, being from a latin country and also from having american blood aswell from grandmother's side. We have to face some facts here, in one hand our in latin countries life is so bad for poor, right now let's say in Honduras, with the new CAFTA agreement, many small business will get eliminated since they wouldn't be able to compete with American big companies migrating here( aka example Wal-Mart. Since honestly, the CAFTA was basically forced down our throats, since no one here wanted it. What will this cause?Even more poberty since honestly Honduras can't compete with USA's technologies in agriculture and otherthings. My point here is this will only increase the level of inmigrants because of the poberty in latin countries. Now on the other thing, I do agree with better board patrol and more anti- inmigrant Patrols (border patrol), but do for this it would be good if the qualifying terms for citizenship are lower, meaning USA has better control over people and reduces illegal inmigrants and insteadd gets a fraction of the illegal inmigrants to try and go the legal way to USA. What I mean lower terms, means so theres a + % of chances that the USA goverment grants VISAs to Poor people. I will post some other thoughts later. Just for clarification purpose, I got nothing against USA, I am also Pro-Bush, I travel to USA 6 times a year legally. I belong to the medium-high class.
