Yeshua is not a name, the prefix Ye did not exist prior to the adoption of the idea that the name of Yah was too sacred that it should not be uttered. Greek Scrolls of the LXX has Yahweh transliterated into the Greek. Those that hold to the Yeshua do so in order to validate the Greek Jesus as being a transliteration of the Hebrew Yeshua. Yehoshua originally Yahoshua breaks down into the short form of Yahweh = Yah -- O is the possessive suffix that is added to Yah to become Yaho = Yah he is -- shua = salvation Yahoshua = Yah he is salvation Yahshua = Yah Salvation Yaho is also shortened to Yo as in Yoshua Yah in some scrolls is shorten to two yods ' ' At Ras Shram on the Syria coast north of Lebanon were found cuniform tablets recording official letters between officials at Ras Shram and officials in Israel during the time of the Kings. Hebrew was transliterated into the cuniform script and thus recorded that Nmaes began with YAH and not with YEH. Yahoshabad instead of Yehohsabad The El Armarna tablets found in Egypt that record official letters between officials in Egypt and officials in Israel also at the time of the Kings record Names as beginning with YAH instead of YEH When Yaho/Yahu was a suffix to a proper name it was not changed as in Eliyahu. EL + (I-possessive) = ELI =my EL + YAH +(U-possessive) = Yahu = He is Yah ELIYAHU = My EL he is YAH Genesis 49:18 I have waited for Yahshua3444(thy salvation), Yahweh. Incorrect. In Hebrew Joshua's name is pronounced Yehoshuah, not Yahushuah. Just as in the name Yeshua, the yod is accompanied by a sheva which demands that the first syllable be pronounced, "Yeh. Furthermore, the third letter letter, vav is accompanied by the vowel point holam which makes the vav a vowel instead of a consonant. Consequently, the vav simply makes the "O" (as in "over") sound. The first two syllables are correctly pronounced Yeh-ho, not Yah-hu. You are again, trying to push a corruption of the Hebrew language. Completely bogus. The name of Messiah has no connection to the Aramaic. I have already demonstrated that to you in another thread.

I would say that you use what you understand. But there are a few things that you should atleast look at. Study to show thy approved, Kinda thing. Kinda like you should study things like passover and other setapart days because they have alot to teach us. Even if you do not believe in keeping them you should study them. Their are many reasons to study the true name of the FATHER.

First, if Yeshua is merely a contraction of Yahushua..then we are removing all reference to Father Yahweh by doing so. Yeshua means "He will save" and Yahushua means "Yahweh, He is Salvation" or "Yahweh is salvation". Second, regardless of what the Aramaic Ezra or Nehemiah does with the name of the High Priest, Zechariah prophesied in chapter 6 that the name of the Messiah would be "Yahushua", not "Yeshua". The forms hold 2 different meanings. Third, it is evident that the Messiah came in His Father's name through the understanding the disciples had for baptism. When Yahushua said to baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit..the disciples immediately baptized in the name "Yahushua" in Acts 2. Should not the Son have His Father's name? Again, I would be really careful about removing all reference to the Father when praying in, baptizing in and proclaiming the name of the Messiah.

I believe "Yahshua" is an english contraction of "Yahushua". It is true that in Hebrew, this contraction does not exist. However, the shortening of "Yahu" to "Yah" is very common in Hebrew (although admittedly, not in prefixes). Here are some scriptures that show the "Branch" to be the future Messiah Jeremiah 33:15-AV In those days, and at that time, will I cause the BRANCH of righteousness to grow up to David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land. 16-AV In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell in safety: and this [is the name] by which she shall be called, Yahweh our righteousness. Isaiah 11:1-AV And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a BRANCH shall grow out of his roots: 2-AV And the spirit of Yahweh shall rest upon him, (see John 1:32) the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel andmight, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Yahweh; 3-AV And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of Yahweh: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: 4-AV But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. 5-AV And righteousness shall be the belt of his loins, and faithfulness the belt of his reins. Jeremiah 23:2-AV Therefore thus saith Yahweh Elohim of Israel against the shepherds that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith Yahweh. 3-AV And I will gather the remnant of my flock from all countries where I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. 4-AV And I will set shepherds over them who shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith Yahweh. 5-AV Behold, the days come, saith Yahweh, that I will raise to David a righteous BRANCH, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice upon theearth. 6-AV In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israelshall dwell in safety: and this [is] his name by which he shall be called, YAHWEH OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. 7-AV Therefore, behold, the days come, saith Yahweh, that they shall no more say, Yahweh liveth, who brough tthe children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; 8-AV But, Yahweh liveth, who brought and who led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries where I have driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land. Zechariah 3:8-AV Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they [are] men wondered at:for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH. Here is Yahushua's name prophesied Zechariah 6:9-AV And the word of Yahweh came to me, saying, 10-AV Take of [them of] the captivity, [even] ofHeldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, who are come from Babylon, and come thou the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah; 11-AV Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set [them] upon the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest; Joshua is pronounced Yahushua in the original Hebrew and in this text we have the letters , that is Yod, He, Waw, Shin, Ayin in Hebrew. This is the same way it is found 194 times in the Hebrew Masoretic text all throughout scripture. This is important to know because there is a key thing said about this name in the next verse: Zechariah 6:12-AV And speak to him, saying, Thus speaketh Yahweh of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of Yahweh: So the Scripture is saying: "Behold (or look) the man (Yahushua) whose NAME () is the BRANCH" Therefore the current High Priest of Judah in the days of Zechariah Joshua (Yahshua) has the name of the "BRANCH" or the coming Messiah. Therefore the current High Priest of Judah in the days of Zechariah Joshua (Yahshua) has the name of the "BRANCH" or the coming Messiah. Concerning this name being shortened to "Yeshua" in the book of Ezra (in Aramaic), we find many other names that also were changed, perhaps to reflect the Aramaic dialect. In Aramaic, the accent is often placed on the last syllable, the first vowel disappearing. For instance, the Father of Yahushua the High Priest in Zechariah 6 is changed from Yod, Heh, Waw, Tzadik, Dalet, Qof (Pronounced Yahutsadak) to Yod, Waw, Tzadik, Dalet, Qof (Said to be pronounced Yotsadak) in Nehemiah 12:26. In both cases, the name of the Father is altered. The same is true of other transliterations. The greek "Iesous" does not accurately convey the name of the Father (or even the Son for that matter). All lexicons and most scholars that I am aware of say this is derived from "Yahushua" (3091), not "Yeshua"(3442). Both the Aramaic and Greek are derived from the Hebrew original. The following is evidence for the Messiah's name being "Yahushua", or the same name as the Son of Nun: * This high priest's name in Zechariah 6. * When the children of Israel were baptized into the red sea, they would say "YAH..has become my salvation" (Ex. 15:2) and centuries later the Messiah would be named "Yahushua", meaning "Yahweh, He is salvation" and would save them upon baptism. * Moshe renamed Hoshea (similar to Yeshua in meaning), Son of Nun to "Yahushua" and it was "Yahushua" who led the children of Israel into the promised land just as our Messiah will lead us into the eternal promised land. * Yahushua said "I come in my Father's name" and the Father's name happens to be within "Yahushua". * John the Baptist's relatives were expecting the parents to name him after HIS father (a rare custom). Could it be because Yahushua would be named after His Father? * The Messiah said to baptize "in the name of the Father..." and they all baptized in a version of the Son's name "Yahushua" which contains the name of the Father. * "Yahweh" is the commanded name for salvation (Joel 2:32) and we also find the Father's name in "Yahushua" which can be also called upon for salvation (Acts 4:12).

I can see we are going to go round and round about this. Yeshua" is actually not an authentic Hebrew word meaning "salvation". For it to mean "Salvation" it would have to have the Hebrew letter "heh" added to the end of it, changing the spelling to Yod Shin Waw Ayin Heh and it would need to have the "Sheva" vowel point under the Yod. These things further indicate that "Yeshua" isn't from Hebrew, but is an Aramaic form of "Yahushua". Since the Heavenly Father's name Yah is a Hebrew name, I would not expect to see His Son's name coming from some other language, whether it be Greek, Latin, Aramaic or English. If neither of these languages do it right, why not return to the original and correct form? The Messiah also stated that He came in the FATHER's name. There are hundreds of Hebrew names that contain, the FATHER's name YAH and you want me to believe that HIS SON's name did not. No I do not believe it.

That is a pretty big slam you are making on me. Such a lovely Jew you are. Or are you are Jew trying to be ??? That is exactly what it says. You are reading your own definition "Jew" into the passages in Revelation. It is not talking about Jews, falsely calling themselves Jews, it is talking about people who are not Jews, calling themselves Jews. I am Jewish, and I have a better grasp on what it means. The term "Jew" is a shortened version of the Name Yehuda, who was the fourth son of Jacob. Oh and by the way, as a Jew, I am particularly offended at the way you butcher and pervert the Name of my Messiah. His Name is Yeshua, NOT YAHSHUAH. You are using a word that is not even found in Hebrew, and is not the Name of our Messiah. Please stop using some corrupted, fake Hebrew word, and spell the Name of the Messiah correctly. It would also help if you learned Hebrew because you are also misspelling Yehuda as well. The point you are making was never made by Yeshua. You are just making stuff up, now. No it is not. What do you mean by "embrace?" You are just another "wannabe jew." probably. If were born as a Gentile, you are one of those of "the synagogue of satan" if you are trying to call youself a "Jew," and are not a Jew. First of all Zildja, Rev. 2:9 is talking about Gentiles who are calling themselves Jews, but are not. They had adopted some Jewish practices, and fell into legalism. They claim to be Jews but are liars. Notice that the same phrase is used in v. 2 of Rev. 2 If it were talking about Gentile that were calling themself Jews it would have said just that. It does not. What do you think makes someone a jew. Look at the meaning of the Hebrew would YAHUDAH which is were the word Jew comes from it is One that Praises YAH. It is a very plain and simple Explanation of what a Jew is. Just like the other Names and words that contain Both the FATHER's name YAH and His title EL, they all have meanings. It they did not embrace the Messiah as the true word of the FATHER, Then they never embraced the FATHER's Commands. When they rejected the SON they also rejected the FATHER. They Father was exactly who thw Messiah said he was, The father of Lies. And I said nothing about some of the Jews Embracing YAHSHUA of course they Did Paul himself was a Benjamite. Alot of the Jews embraced the truth. And also many Heathens that worshiped other God did also. The point I am making is that Blood does not make you a Jew YAHudah. As YAHSHUA pointed out to us. In order to be a Jew you have to embrace the word of the FATHER, and the word of the FATHER is WHO?

(((((Yeshua & all the Apostles use the terms "jew" and "gentile" hundreds of times in a way that contradicts this Ephramite heres)))) The terms Jew and Gentile did not exsist back then I showed the words that were used and their meaning. One thing I can say for sure YAHSHUA never said the word JEW. Anyone who is not a jew in the flesh is not a jew, spiritual or otherwise. I'm not talking about a rabbinic definition either Many nations (gentiles) are joined to Israel. This is repeated so many times that it seems redundant to mention but Zildja's definition denies what God is doing among the nations by making every disciple of Yeshua a "jew". The nations do not BECOME Israel...they are JOINED to the commonwealth of Israel (Eph 2 & 3). They absolutely do not become jews nor do they usurp the covenants given to Israel. Ephesians 3:6 This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus. God loves the gentiles though....or He wouldn't have created so many of us.

((((Anyone who is not a jew in the flesh is not a jew, spiritual or otherwise. I'm not talking about a rabbinic definition either))))) Yod The Messiah himself is pointing out that They are not Jews. Rev 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Rev 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. Please it yopur own words explain who you think these Jews are. The reason is not because they are not Blood jews, It is because they are rejecting him. Joh 11:8 His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again? Do you understand that the word Jew comes from Judah. Do you understand what the word Judah means. You can not reject the Messiah and worship the FATHER at the same time. The meaning of Judah is I will Praise YAH. Mat 3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Mat 12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. Mat 23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? Luk 3:7 Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? These do not sound like the Jews that will inherit the promise, Sounds to me like they will have a hard time Escaping the Damnation of Hell. (((And we will not find a single place where gentile becomes a jew. Not even a hint of one.))) Gentiles were adopted into the Yahudim family through out the Bible. The story of Jonah is a great example, The people of Nineveh were all gentiles. How about all the slaves that were made part of the Family after 7 years of service, they were eather set free or they became Jewish. Again all over the bible Gentiles are adopted into the Jewish family.

Sorry Tess you are Right I did not see your post. Peter fully understood What he was shown. Eze 22:26 Its priests have wronged My law, And they pollute My holy things, Between holy and common they have not made separation, And between the unclean and the clean they have not made known, And from my sabbaths they have hidden their eyes, And I am pierced in their midst. . Eze_44:23. And they shall teach my people, make known to them the difference between holy and common, and between unclean and clean. Eze_44:24. And they shall stand to judge concerning disputes; and they shall observe my laws and my statutes at all my feasts, and sanctify my Sabbaths. Ecc 9:2 The whole is as to the whole; one event is to the righteous and to the wicked, to the good, and to the clean, and to the unclean, and to him who is sacrificing, and to him who is not sacrificing; as is the good, so is the sinner, he who is swearing as he who is fearing an oath. What The Father showed Peter was a dream, a vision, not real, Peter could not have Killed and eaten it if he wanted to there was another lesson that was being taught here. No Temptation of the FATHER's part. He simply show Peter something in a way that he knew he would understand. And Peter did understand. And the FATHER outlined what He made Clean and Unclean in Lev:10 and 11. Do you deny that he did this. Are you saying that you can show where the FATHER changed this. Basically Romans 14 is all about fasting or not fasting, and in that regard Paul said the believer has freedom to choose the days he want for fasting. Romans 14, together with portions of Galatians are the standard sources for the antinomians arguments. However they are soon crushed when it's obvious that Paul kept all those laws, and taught others do so, jews or gentiles, alike. Romans 14:14 is one of the most blatant mistranslation in the KJV Bible! In Acts 10, when Peter had his vision, he said, "I have never eaten what is common or unclean." Common was meat that was defiled by association, like meat sacrificed to idols, or meat from the clean animals in the sheet because they were in the same sheet as the unclean animals. There are two different Greek words used, one for common and the other for unclean. It is the word for common that is used in Romans 14:14! In other words, it should be translated .."there is nothing common of itself..." Some Bibles will note this in the center collum or footnote. This changes the whole picture! Another scripture you could use is 1 Timothy 4, where Paul calls it a doctrine of demons to command to abstain from meats which the Almighty "created to be received with thanksgiving." He did not create all meat to be received with thanksgiving. The meat He did create for such purposes is "sanctified by the word and prayer." To sanctify is to set apart for a purpose. You cannot set everything apart from nothing. The word sanctifies it in Lev. 11 and Dt. 14 and prayer when we pray over it. How can you say Peter was right? If Peter was right, then God tempted him to sin. Is that what you are suggesting? Also, in the following verse, the Lord rebuked Peter for calling anything He made unclean. In this situation, both cannot be right. Either God was right, or Peter was right. And I'm not understanding what being Jew or Gentile has to do with anything?

It has very little meaning and nothing I can learn from at all. But Passover and Unleaven are full of lessons that I have learned.

Good questions, and Questions I have asked. Temple Laws were added on because of trangression. There is no longer a temple for us to go and sacrafice. ((((So you're saying the only way to be saved is to follow the Law? OR at least to be a good Christian, we must follow the Law?)))) In a way yes I am saying that we are to learn and apply the Laws to our life to the best of our understanding. This is what the Messiah wants us to do. Follow his example. When I read a Law out of the Old testament I also look for the example of the Messiah and that Law. We know that the Jews at the time had the wrong understanding. When scripture stated to bind the Law to your forhead and bind then to your Right hand. They made Boxs that contained the Law and Tied then to their head and hand. But scripture is telling us to learn and apply. By applying what we understand we become a light to this world. The Messiah Pointed out that we are to keep the Laws out of Love. (((why follow the Law at all?))) This would mean that there would be no law against committing idolatry, worshipping false gods, cursing, swearing, breaking God

Very good reply.

Does the Messiah have anything to do with your salvation? Is the Messiah the whole word of the FATHER made flesh? Is the Messiah your example? Did the messiah Break any of the Laws of the FATHER? Did the Messiah show us the Correct way to Keep the Laws of the FATHER? Not the ways that the Preist comanded us to do. That is not what I am talking about here. Can the Keeping of the Laws of the FATHER save you? No that is not what saves you. Is it improtant to Follow the Messiah, Yes. Did the Messiah keep the Laws? YES. I have already broken the Law it can not save me. Does scripture anywhere tell us not to try and obey the Laws? Can we as humans change from our evuil ways and Obey the laws, Are there any examples of That? Luk 1:5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth. Luk 1:6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. Did Moses teach only the letter of the Law or did he show the Israelites the Spirit of the Law as well? Were the Israelites that made it into the promise land Obeying the Laws of YHWH of Did YHWH just give up and let them in anyway?

Are Muslims Concidered Gentile To you? Do you concider yourself Gentile? What is a clear understanding of what a gentile is? Would a worshipper of Zues be concidered a gentile? 1) of or pertaining to any people not Jewish. ( or not YAHUDAH) 2)Christian, as distinguished from Jewish. ( YAHUDAH) 3) neither Mormon nor Jewish. 4) heathen or pagan. 5)Pertaining to the tribe , clan people, nation . 6)A person who is not Jewish Gentilism : the quality of being a gentile, heathenism paganism. Being a gentile seems to point to being a heathen, or pagan. One who does not Praise YAH. I would say definition # 2 would be from the catholic church. So can I ask every bodies definition of Gentile? And are you a Gentile? Are we called to be Gentiles? Are we to unite under one name? Become one family? Would that name be Jew or Gentile? What is the Definition of Jew to you? Do you see the seperation here? Where do Muslims Fit in, Are they gentile? They are not Jewish. How about people that believe the evil one is their Father? Are they concidered Gentile? Who are the Jews that say they are Jews and are not? YAHUDIM What is a true JEW? Are we to be a Fleshly Jew ,or a spiritual YAHUDAH? If you do not believe in YAHSHUA as the WORD of YAH made Flesh, can you be a true YAHUDAH? Are we supposed to look at the fleshly Definition of Jew? What is the spiritual Definition of YAHUDAH? Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Yahshua Messiah. Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. That shows that we should not hate anybody, but we should rebuke the spirits of error that are in this world. The word Gentile in question is based on 4 various words used in scripture: 1.The Hebrew word "goy goy" is used throughout the OT to depict the pagan nations. 2.The Greek word "Hellen" is used to deptict a Grecian. 3.The Greek word "ethnikos" is used to depict a heathen man. 4.The Greek word "ethnos" is used to depict a heathen nation. G1672 Ἕλλην Hellēn hel'-lane From G1671; a Hellen (Grecian) or inhabitant of Hellas; by extension a Greek speaking person, especially a non-Jew: - Gentile, Greek. H1471 גּי גּוי gôy gôy go'ee, go'-ee Apparently from the same root as H1465 (in the sense of massing); a foreign nation; hence a Gentile; also (figuratively) a troop of animals, or a flight of locusts: - Gentile, heathen, nation, people. G1482 ἐθνικός ethnikos eth-nee-kos' From G1484; national (

There are alot of things here that we view very diffrently. (((((First, I never said anything about being "weak in faith", ))))) I know but it has alot to do with Romans 14. Take note that Peter never Killed and eat the animails that he was told to Kill and eat. That is because Peter was right. And you are right for pointing out the rest of the story. Unclean food has nothing to do with what peter is learning here. The FATHER did not make the gentiles unclean. They were just as clean as Peter, Because Peter was a sinner also. This is the main lesson here. Peter had been taught to treat Gentiles as Dogs. At this point I guess I need to explain My veiw of who the Jews who say they are Jew and are not are. And also what the meaning of gentile is to my understanding. That is another thread to start maybe I will come back to this topic I can see that I must explain some of my Understanding of scripture first.
-
If this were the case, we would need to classify Peter as one who is 'weak in faith'! When The FATHER gave him a vision in Acts chapter 10, Kepha said "I have never eaten anything common or unclean." This was many years after The Messiahs resurrection. So was Kepha weak in faith? I think not. Look at Kepha here: Acts 3:6 (NKJV) Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Yahushua the Messiah of Nazareth, rise up and walk." 7 And he took him by the right hand and lifted [him] up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. Hardly a man lacking faith! It was through faith that this man was healed. (see verse 16). Consider also Paul himself would have to be classified as 'weak in faith' if this were the proper interpretation. For his custom was to observe the Sabbath: Acts 17:2 (NKJV) Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures, It can be shown that the disciples all kept the Sabbath 83 times in the New Testament. Were they all weak in faith also? I think not! Just curious, do you also avoid using modern language for the days of the week and the months of the year? (considering these have pagan origins) According to Romans 14, there is no day that should be regarded over the next. Each and every day has been created by God, and no day is evil in and of itself. It's what a person chooses to do with and in that day that can become sin. So what if pagans distorted what God made? Do we let them have it? We surrender a day that the Lord has made simply because they tried to steal it? Heavens no. We take it back! One of our highest callings as believers is to redeem culture, to bring God's kingdom principles to the earth now. We can't do that by retreating and isolating ourselves from our culture.

From Sacred Origins of Profound Things, page 204 - "It just so happened that Eastre, a fertility goddess (the ancient word eastre means 'spring'), had as her earthly symbol the prolific hare, or rabbit. Hence, the origin of the Easter bunny." From The Encyclopedia Britannica, 1936, volume 2, page 570 - "Astarte - a Semitic goddess whose name appears in the Bible as Ashtoreth. She is everywhere the great female principle, answering to the Baal of the Canaanites and Phoenicians and to the Dagon of the Philistines. "As the great nature-goddess, the attributes of fertility and reproduction are characteristically hers, as also the accompanying immortality which originally, perhaps, was nothing more than primitive magic." From The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia, James Orr, gen. Ed., Volume 2, page 889 - "The English word comes from the Anglo-Saxon Eastre or Estera, a Teutonic goddess to whom sacrifice was offered in April, so the name was transferred to the paschal feast. "There is no trace of Easter celebration in the New Testament, though some would see an intimation of it in I Corinthians 5:7. The Jewish Christians in the early church continued to celebrate the Passover, regarding Christ as the true paschal lamb, and this naturally passed over into a commemoration of the death and resurrection of Our Lord, or an Easter feast. "Differences arose as to the time of the Easter celebration, the Jewish Christians naturally fixing it at the time of the Passover feast which was regulated by the paschal moon. According to this reckoning it began on the eve of the fourteenth day of the moon of the month of Nisan without regard to the day of the week, while the gentile Christians identified it with the first day of the week, i.e. the Sunday of the resurrection, irrespective of the day of the month. The latter practice finally prevailed in the church, and those who followed the other reckoning were stigmatized as heretics. But differences arose as to the proper Sunday for the Easter celebration, which led to long and bitter controversies. The Council of Nicea, 324 AD, decreed that it should be on Sunday, but did not fix the particular Sunday. It was left to the bishop of Alexandria to determine, since that city was regarded as the authority in astrological matters and he was to communicate the result of his determination to the other bishops. "The rule was finally adopted, in the seventh century, to celebrate Easter on the Sunday following the fourteenth day of the calendar moon which comes on, or after, the vernal equinox which was fixed for March 21. This is not always the astrological moon, but near enough for practical purposes, and is determined without astrological calculation by certain intricate rules adopted by ecclesiastical authority. A man made Day, not a Setapart Day setapart By our FATHER Like passover and the feast of unleaven are. I will never Lie to my children. and Santa and the easter bunny are lies, You can try and tell me that they are harmless lies But the truth is What you are teaching your children is that Mommy and Daddy are liers. If you lie to your children about this what else do you lie about.

In ancient times when sacrificing Babys to Ashtoreth, They Died easter eggs in the babys Blood in the consecration of an egg. Eggs represent the new life that returns to nature about Easter time. That is where it started. Knowing that is enough for me to not do it, and not celabrate Easter. The word easter is in the King James but it is not in the greek, it replaces the word Passover. and is not a translation, Easter has noting to do with scripture at all. It is interesting that the holiest day of the liturgical Christian year, Easter Sunday, bears the name of the pagan sex goddess Eastre and the pagan sun god Solis."

Thought I'd add this link, one good place to study Hebrew. http://www.hebrew4christians.com/Grammar/U...pictograms.html

I use King James because the strongs is set up for KJ, but I also use Youngs literal Translation because it is a word for word Tranlation. Unlike Most Bibles out there. But to really get a good understanding you need to have a good understanding of the language it was writen in. That's when it really becomes fun to study. I am spending alot of time learning Hebrew. Alittle greek but not much so far.

The Question is what do you need to try and do? What is your example??? What did your Example do??? So simple but so true. We turn it over to God...we can't solve our own sin problem, that would in fact negate it. [/quote/] So you do not need to study or apply anything, we do not need to do anything? God will do it all? You do not even need to try? One day you will just change out of the Blue and be a better person? I guess I don't even need to love then? Or do anything out of Love. What?

Me and my past make it easier to Forgive others. If you steal something from me, I will forgive you, It might make me upset at first but It does not take me long to remember My past, And I have no good reason to be Mad at all. I am glad I learned this way of looking at it Has saved me from doing things I would have regreted just because I was mad over something I could replace. But I find it harder to Forgive a lier. It's like I forgive but Know I will never trust this person again. I guess it hurts worse. Hate the Sin Love the sinner.
