I don't despise tongues, neither do I despise those who use it. What I do despise, however, are those who cast judgement upon me for saying I approve of people standing up for what they believe. But I suppose you're entitled to your opinion. To adress the issue, I couldn't be more in love with the gifts from the Spirit. Though I must admit I don't thank God enough for the Holy Spirit, or his gifts. To say the least I don't believe the unknown tongue is a gift of the Holy Spirit, I also don't think tongues should even be nearly as important to people as they have become. Tongues is to confirm salvation to those in doubt, not to the user. Kinda like baptism.

Keith, there is no experation date that I know of, however, to my knowledge there's no intruction booklet either. In anycase, the SBC didn't say that "if you speak in tongues you cannot be saved" nor did they say "there is no possibility that tongues exist (which Btw would be odd to hear someone say that without a tongue)" Instead they merely stated, "you cannot take part in the SBC's Missions and participate in a trivial doctrine." The SBC is smart, don't you realize they'll no doubt have to pay for the Doctrine their association is responsible for preaching? In any case I applaud them.

This will certainly stir some great debate, but sense no one seems to be biting; I'd imagine this is a good thing. The doctrine of tongues isn't an eternal issue, however, it is an important issue. This particular Doctrine has more to do with testimony than anything else. The SBC controls the money, shouldn't they be a bit concerned with who the money is sent to? On that note shouldn't they be concerned with who is representing them? I certainly wouldn't want someone who advacates something I don't believe to represent my orginization, Amen, The SBC has the guts to do this, and they get props for standing up. Any other orginization reserves the right to choose who is qualified and un-qualified, why not the southern baptist convention?

Nor should we use this to mix Judaism and Christianity. Very dangerous. Judaism though based in Godly principles is a DEAD RELIGION. But secular music is just about as good and the olderstuff is alittle better than alot of the christian music (musically if not lyricly)

We are all challenged with these feeling.. our cases may not be the same...but be assured we all struggle with it. But you've got to understand these feelings probably will not be removed, unless prayer is made to remove them... even then it may take time.

OK so I'm not really the dating kind and I plan on not dating until i'm out of school and the girl I like already knows this.. and she's already expressed that she likes me in more than a freindly fashion but respects my wishes to keep it on a freind fashion. but heres where it gets complicated.. she won't talk to me. She's very shy. and will not talk un-less I ask her a question point blank needless to say I dominate our conversations but that makes me feel like a big mouth that talks to much...and even though we are not dating right now it's hard to be a freind to someone who wont talk..

I've heard of preachers as young as twenty some odd.. but 16 irratical right.. thats what I thought but it's to pressing to be anything else rather than a calling. and It's not something I nessicarely want to do . But Yes I have ministered to Family and freinds alike. I also had a hand in my sisters salvation... The sunday school sowed, I watered and My Father reaped and God Gave the increase. They tell me to wait wait I'm to impatient.. I don't like fishing because I have no patience for it.. also like the Harvest is the souls of young and old men alike, but the Harvest is Many we are few...We can't always work at a "comfortable" speed. Also to call ones self a bible scholar is quite ignorant.. After all Professing themselves to be wise they inturn were fools. And as I mentioned I'd rather not do it. I mean always being told I'm to young...I've already excepted this I'd be happy to wait a couple of decades. But like I said I can't make plans because God's plans are already made. this is what happened when i made plans.. I decided off the money my Grandfather would leave me I would go to gradschool easy as that.. My Grandfather lost all his money due to bad business deals, and such.. that window was closed. I decided it wouldn't stop me and I'd get a Job and save up.. I couldn't get a Job because my brother had Court problems. another window closed may be opening but it's still Hard because now I'm only two years from graduating and I'm homeschooled so the chances of getting into a good school is slim anyways. all my plans have crumbled.. all pointing to the only alternative.. Also I like apoligetics, and am no stranger o defending my faith (I have a very liberal pentecostal freind). but what ever I have God's going to use weather or not I'm smart enough, weather I'm strong enough, or rather I am enough. I feel God leading me Not to only become a Pastor but a North American missionary. Problem is?? I'm 16, I've never been to seminary, and I love my Family. I just don't know what to do.. Also I've kept this calling to myself for the time being I've shown an interest in seminary to my parents, and of course gradschool (as it is required), But I've never really told them What's happening in my mind in my Body. I don't feel disconnected I just feel like I'm half burried. it's quite scary, not knowing what they are going to say or do when I finally tell them.. As for not telling them now I have my personal reasons for not. this is all about the ministry and my walk with God. And before this turns into "tell your parents right now little mister" I will tell you why I will not tell them at this time. 1. my family is going through financial trouble currently due to reasons 2 and 3 2. my sisters marriage 3. my brothers illegal racing career record.... He didn't go to jail and his record is clean for the time being. 4. I don't want to scare them. After all telling my mother I'm going to leave her to go preach and she may hardly ever see me agian. :sweating: I know the News will come as a shock in anycase But I just don't think they need cardiac arrests as another problem. As for Preaching I'm not really new at it..I've taught classes and such and I don't think it much diferent. As for being a pastor I know it's stressful But I've been through stress before. Leading I'm not to bad at but I could use some work. When God planned this He knew what he was doing I only wished I did to.

How often is it you see a dead person rise from the dead? Notice Mr. Nikolai did not infact say without a doubt it was in no way a possibility he said he was "Almost certainly" not "certainly" leaving you option to prove it's certainty. Judeic? perhaps to a minimal, but remember Jesus also denounced most of what had become tradition for the judeic lifestyle. Also instead of refering to it as a religion you used cult...any specific reason?

If say the rock had suffered a small amount of erosion would this effect the dating process? And also are fossils a special case, can they be dated at all using this method? Also who say's leprechauns aren't a race of people who have lost their actual race in ages without historicly accurate accounts?

Ok ok but because you declared yourself an atheist you must have already proven God doesn't exist right????. Why don't you prove to us God doesn't exist instead of the age of the Earth????. Silly. He obviously didn't find enough evidence to suit his fancy. Thus he dismissed it. You've got to admit that although there are some hard facts proving the existence of God and his son, we must also resort back to our faith alot more. although the theory of the formation of the earth takes faith it's alot more feesable.
